سورة القدر
97:1
Ahmed Ali
TRULY WE REVEALED it on the Night of Determination.
Shakir
Surely We revealed it on the grand night.

بیشک ہم نے اسے (ف۲) شبِ قدر میں اتارا (ف۳)
97:1 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ ٢
97:2
Ahmed Ali
How will you know what the Night of Determination is?
Shakir
And what will make you comprehend what the grand night
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور تم نے کیا جانا کیا شبِ قدر،
97:2 لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ٣
97:3
Ahmed Ali
Better is the Night of Determination than a thousand months.
Shakir
The grand night is better than a thousand months.
Ahmed Raza Khan
شبِ قدر ہزار مہینوں سے بہتر (ف۴)
97:3 تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ ٤
97:4
Ahmed Ali
On (this night) the angels and grace descend by the dispensation of their Lord, for settling all affairs.
Shakir
The angels and Gibreel descend in it by the permission of their Lord for every affair,

اس میں فرشتے اور جبریل اترتے ہیں (ف۵) اپنے رب کے حکم سے ہر کام کے لیے (ف۶)
97:4 سَلَٰمٌ هِىَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ ٱلْفَجْرِ ٥
97:5
Ahmed Ali
It is peace till the dawning of the day.
Shakir
Peace! it is till the break of the morning.

وہ سلامتی ہے، صبح چمکتے تک (ف۷)
97:5 سورة البينة
98:1
Ahmed Ali
THOSE AMONG THE people of the Book who disbelieve, and the idolaters, would not have been freed (from false beliefs) until the clear proof came to them --
Shakir
Those who disbelieved from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists could not have separated (from the faithful) until there had come to them the clear evidence:

کتابی کافر (ف۲) اور مشرک (ف۳) اپنا دین چھوڑنے کو نہ تھے جب تک ان کے پاس روشن دلیل نہ آئے (ف۴)
98:1 رَسُولٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ يَتْلُوا۟ صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً ٢

An Apostle from God, reading out hallowed pages
Shakir
An messenger from Allah, reciting pure pages,
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ کون وہ اللہ کا رسول (ف۵) کہ پاک صحیفے پڑھتا ہے (ف۶)
98:2 فِيهَا كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ ٣
98:3
Ahmed Ali
Containing firm decrees.
Shakir
Wherein are all the right ordinances.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ان میں سیدھی باتیں لکھی ہیں (ف۷)
98:3 وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ ٤
98:4
Ahmed Ali
The people of the Book were not divided among themselves till after the clear proof had come to them.
Shakir
And those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence had come to them.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور پھوٹ نہ پڑی کتاب والوں میں مگر بعد اس کے کہ وہ روشن دلیل (ف۸) ان کے پاس تشریف لائے (ف۹)
98:4 وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلْقَيِّمَةِ ٥
98:5
Ahmed Ali
They were commanded only to serve God with all-exclusive faith in Him, to be upright, and to fulfil their devotional obligations, and to give zakat; for this is the even way.
Shakir
And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right religion.

اور ان لوگوں کو تو (ف۱۰) یہی حکم ہوا کہ اللہ کی بندگی کریں نرے اسی پر عقیدہ لاتے (ف۱۱) ایک طرف کے ہوکر (ف۱۲) اور نماز قائم کریں اور زکوٰة دیں اور یہ سیدھا دین ہے،
98:5 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ فِى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ ٦
98:6
Ahmed Ali
Surely the unbelievers among the people of the Book and the idolaters, will abide in the fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.
Shakir
Surely those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists shall be in the fire of hell, abiding therein; they are the worst of men.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک جتنے کافر ہیں کتابی اور مشرک سب جہنم کی آگ میں ہیں ہمیشہ اس میں رہیں گے، وہی تمام مخلوق میں بدتر ہیں،
98:6 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ ٱلْبَرِيَّةِ ٧
98:7
Ahmed Ali
But those who believe and do the right are surely the best of created beings,
Shakir
(As for) those who believe and do good, surely they are the -best of men.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے وہی تمام مخلوق ہیں بہتر ہیں،
98:7

عَنْهُمْ
وَرَضُوا۟
عَنْهُ
ذَٰلِكَ
لِمَنْ
خَشِىَ
رَبَّهُۥ

زُلْزِلَتِ
ٱلْأَرْضُ
زِلْزَالَهَا

وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِ
ضَبْحًا

Ahmed Ali
Whose reward is with their Lord -- gardens of Eden with rivers flowing by, where they will abide for ever, God pleased with their service, they with obedience to Him. This (awaits) him who stands in awe of his Lord.
Shakir
Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord.

ان کا صلہ ان کے رب کے پاس بسنے کے باغ ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں ان میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہیں، اللہ ان سے راضی (ف۱۳) اور وہ اس سے راضی (ف۱۴) یہ اس کے لیے ہے جو اپنے رب سے ڈرے (ف۱۵)
98:8 سورة الزلزلة
99:1

WHEN THE WORLD is shaken up by its cataclysm,
Shakir
When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب زمین تھرتھرا دی جائے (ف۲) جیسا اس کا تھرتھرانا ٹھہرا ہے (ف۳)
99:1 وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا ٢
99:2
Ahmed Ali
And the earth throws out its burdens,
Shakir
And the earth brings forth her burdens,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور زمین اپنے بوجھ باہر پھینک دے (ف۴)
99:2 وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا ٣
99:3
Ahmed Ali
And man enquires: "What has come over it?"
Shakir
And man says: What has befallen her?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور آدمی کہے اسے کیا ہوا (ف۵)
99:3 يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ٤
99:4
Ahmed Ali
That day it will narrate its annals,
Shakir
On that day she shall tell her news,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس دن وہ اپنی خبریں بتائے گی (ف۶)
99:4 بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا ٥
99:5
Ahmed Ali
For your Lord will have commanded it.
Shakir
Because your Lord had inspired her.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس لیے کہ تمہارے رب نے اسے حکم بھیجا (ف۷)
99:5 يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ ٦
99:6
Ahmed Ali
That day people will proceed separately to be shown their deeds.
Shakir
On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works.

اس دن لوگ اپنے رب کی طرف پھریں گے (ف۸) کئی راہ ہوکر (ف۹) تاکہ اپنا کیا (ف۱۰) دکھائیں جائیں تو،
99:6 فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُۥ ٧
99:7
Ahmed Ali
Whosoever has done even an atom´s weight of good will behold it;
Shakir
So. he who has done an atom´s weight of good shall see it
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو ایک ذرہ بھر بھلائی کرے اسے دیکھے گا،
99:7 وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُۥ ٨
99:8
Ahmed Ali
And whosoever has done even an atom´s weight of evil will behold that.
Shakir
And he who has done an atom´s weight of evil shall see it.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جو ایک ذرہ بھر برائی کرے اسے دیکھے گا (ف۱۱)
99:8 سورة العاديات
100:1
Ahmed Ali
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others,
Shakir
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly,
Ahmed Raza Khan
قسم ان کی جو دوڑتے ہیں سینے سے آواز نکلتی ہوئی (ف۲)
100:1 فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ قَدْحًا ٢
100:2
Ahmed Ali
Then those striking sparks of fire,
Shakir
Then those that produce fire striking,
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر پتھروں سے آگ نکالتے ہیں سم مارکر (ف۳)
100:2 فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًا ٣
100:3
Ahmed Ali
Then those charging in the morning
Shakir
Then those that make raids at morn,
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر صبح ہوتے تاراج کرتے ہیں (ف۴)
100:3 فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًا ٤
100:4
Ahmed Ali
Raising clouds of dust,
Shakir
Then thereby raise dust,
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر اس وقت غبار اڑاتے ہیں،
100:4 فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا ٥
100:5
Ahmed Ali
Penetrating deep into the armies,
Shakir
Then rush thereby upon an assembly:

پھر دشمن کے بیچ لشکر میں جاتے ہیں،
100:5 إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ ٦
100:6
Ahmed Ali
That man is ungrateful to his Lord
Shakir
Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک آدمی اپنے رب کا بڑا ناشکرا ہے (ف۵)
100:6 وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ ٧
100:7
Ahmed Ali
And is himself witness to it,
Shakir
And most surely he is a witness of that.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک وہ اس پر خود گواہ ہے،
100:7 وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ ٨
100:8
Ahmed Ali
And is intractable in his love of worldly goods.
Shakir
And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth.

اور بیشک وہ مال کی چاہت میں ضرور کرّا (تیز) ہے (ف۷)
100:8 ۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ ٩
100:9
Ahmed Ali
Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare
Shakir
Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised,
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو کیا نہیں جانتا جب اٹھائے جائیں گے (ف۸) جو قبروں میں ہیں،
