81:1

WHEN THE SUN is folded up,
Shakir
When the sun is covered,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب دھوپ لپیٹی جائے (ف۲)
81:1 وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ ٢
81:2
Ahmed Ali
The stars turn dim and scatter,
Shakir
And when the stars darken,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب تارے جھڑ پڑیں (ف۳)
81:2 وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ ٣
81:3
Ahmed Ali
The mountains made to move,
Shakir
And when the mountains are made to pass away,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب پہاڑ چلائے جائیں (ف۴)
81:3 وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ ٤
81:4
Ahmed Ali
The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned,
Shakir
And when the camels are left untended,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب تھلکی (گابھن) اونٹنیاں (ف۵) چھوٹی پھریں (ف۶)
81:4 وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ ٥
81:5
Ahmed Ali
The wild beasts stampede on the run,
Shakir
And when the wild animals are made to go forth,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب وحشی جانور جمع کیے جائیں (ف۷)
81:5 وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ ٦
81:6
Ahmed Ali
When the oceans surge and swell,
Shakir
And when the seas are set on fire,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب سمندر سلگائے جائیں (ف۸)
81:6 وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ ٧
81:7
Ahmed Ali
When souls are reunited (with the bodies)
Shakir
And when souls are united,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب جانوں کے جوڑ بنیں (ف۹)
81:7 وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ ٨
81:8
Ahmed Ali
And the little girl buried alive is asked
Shakir
And when the female infant buried alive is asked

اور جب زندہ دبائی ہوئی سے پوچھا جائے (ف۱۰)
81:8 بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ ٩
81:9
Ahmed Ali
For what crime she was put to death;
Shakir
For what sin she was killed,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کس خطا پر ماری گئی (ف۱۱)
81:9 وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ ٠١
81:10
Ahmed Ali
When the ledgers are laid open,
Shakir
And when the books are spread,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب نامہٴ اعمال کھولے جائیں،
81:10 وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ ١١
81:11
Ahmed Ali
The curtain drawn back from the skies,
Shakir
And when the heaven has its covering removed,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب آسمان جگہ سے کھینچ لیا جائے (ف۱۲)
81:11 وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ ٢١
81:12
Ahmed Ali
When Hell is set ablaze,
Shakir
And when the hell is kindled up,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب جہنم بھڑکایا جائے (ف۱۳)
81:12 وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ ٣١
81:13
Ahmed Ali
And Paradise brought near,
Shakir
And when the garden is brought nigh,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب جنت پاس لائی جائے (ف۱۴)
81:13 عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ ٤١
81:14
Ahmed Ali
(Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself).
Shakir
Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہر جان کو معلوم ہوجائے گا جو حاضر لائی (ف۱۵)
81:14 فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ ٥١
81:15
Ahmed Ali
So, I call the receding stars to witness,
Shakir
But nay! I swear by the stars,
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو قسم ہے ان (ف۱۶) کی جو الٹے پھریں،
81:15 ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ ٦١
81:16
Ahmed Ali
The planets withdrawing into themselves,
Shakir
That run their course (and) hide themselves,
Ahmed Raza Khan
سیدھے چلیں تھم رہیں (ف۱۷)
81:16 وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ ٧١
81:17
Ahmed Ali
The closing night,
Shakir
And the night when it departs,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور رات کی جب پیٹھ دے (ف۱۸)
81:17 وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ ٨١
81:18
Ahmed Ali
The rising dawn,
Shakir
And the morning when it brightens,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور صبح کی جب دم لے (ف۱۹)
81:18 إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ ٩١
81:19
Ahmed Ali
That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger,
Shakir
Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک یہ (ف۲۰) عزت والے رسول (ف۲۱) کا پڑھنا ہے،
81:19 ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ ٠٢
81:20
Ahmed Ali
Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne,
Shakir
The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو قوت والا ہے مالک عرش کے حضور عزت والا وہاں اس کا حکم مانا جاتا ہے (ف۲۲)
81:20 مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ ١٢
81:21
Ahmed Ali
Obeyed and worthy there of trust.
Shakir
One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust.
Ahmed Raza Khan
امانت دار ہے (ف۲۳)
81:21 وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍ ٢٢
81:22
Ahmed Ali
Your companion is not mad.
Shakir
And your companion is not gone mad.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور تمہارے صاحب (ف۲۴) مجنون نہیں (ف۲۵)
81:22 وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ٣٢
81:23
Ahmed Ali
He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon.
Shakir
And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک انہوں نے اسے (ف۲۶) روشن کنارہ پر دیکھا (ف۲۷)
81:23 وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ ٤٢
81:24
Ahmed Ali
He is not chary of making public what is unknown.
Shakir
Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور یہ نبی غیب بتانے میں بخیل نہیں،
81:24 وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍ رَّجِيمٍ ٥٢
81:25
Ahmed Ali
This is not the utterance of an accursed devil.
Shakir
Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور قرآن، مردود شیطان کا پڑھا ہوا نہیں،
81:25 فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ ٦٢
81:26
Ahmed Ali
So whither do you stray?
Shakir
Whither then will you go?
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر کدھر جاتے ہو (ف۲۸)
81:26 إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٧٢
81:27
Ahmed Ali
This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world,
Shakir
It is naught but a reminder for the nations,
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ تو نصیحت ہی ہے سارے جہان کے لیے،
81:27 لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ ٨٢
81:28
Ahmed Ali
For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight,
Shakir
For him among you who pleases to go straight.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس کے لیے جو تم میں سیدھا ہونا چاہے (ف۲۹)
81:28 وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٩٢
81:29
Ahmed Ali
Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds.
Shakir
And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds.

اور تم کیا چا ہو مگر یہ کہ چاہے اللہ سارے جہان کا رب،
81:29

سورة الإنفطار
82:1
Ahmed Ali
WHEN THE SKY is split asunder,
Shakir
When the heaven becomes cleft asunder,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب آسمان پھٹ پڑے،
82:1 وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ ٢
82:2
Ahmed Ali
And the stars dispersed,
Shakir
And when the stars become dispersed,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب تارے جھڑ پڑیں،
82:2 وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ ٣
82:3
Ahmed Ali
When the oceans begin to flow,
Shakir
And when the seas are made to flow forth,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب سمندر بہادیے جائیں (ف۲)
82:3 وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ ٤
82:4
Ahmed Ali
When the graves are overturned,
Shakir
And when the graves are laid open,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب قبریں کریدی جائیں (ف۳)
82:4 عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ ٥
82:5
Ahmed Ali
Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind.
Shakir
Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہر جان، جان لے گی جو اس نے آگے بھیجا (ف۴) اور جو پیچھے (ف۵)
82:5 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ ٦
82:6
Ahmed Ali
O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord
Shakir
O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے آدمی! تجھے کس چیز نے فریب دیا اپنے کرم والے رب سے (ف۶)
82:6 ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ ٧
82:7
Ahmed Ali
Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion,
Shakir
Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical?
Ahmed Raza Khan
جس نے تجھے پیدا کیا (ف۷) پھر ٹھیک بنایا (ف۸) پھر ہموار فرمایا (ف۹)
82:7 فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ ٨
82:8
Ahmed Ali
Shaping you into any form He pleased?
Shakir
Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جس صورت میں چاہا تجھے ترکیب دیا (ف۱۰)
82:8 كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ ٩
82:9
Ahmed Ali
Even then you deny the Judgement.
Shakir
Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کوئی نہیں (ف۱۱) بلکہ تم انصاف ہونے کو جھٹلانتے ہو (ف۱۲)
82:9 وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَٰفِظِينَ ٠١
82:10
Ahmed Ali
Surely there are guardians over you,
Shakir
And most surely there are keepers over you
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک تم پر کچھ نگہبان ہیں (ف۱۳)
82:10 كِرَامًا كَٰتِبِينَ ١١
82:11
Ahmed Ali
Illustrious scribes
Shakir
Honorable recorders,
Ahmed Raza Khan
معزز لکھنے والے (ف۱۴)
82:11 يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ ٢١
82:12
Ahmed Ali
Who know what you do.
Shakir
They know what you do.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جانتے ہیں جو کچھ تم کرو (ف۱۵)
82:12 إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ ٣١
82:13
Ahmed Ali
The pious will surely be in heaven,
Shakir
Most surely the righteous are in bliss,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک نِکو کار (ف۱۶) ضرور چین میں ہیں (ف۱۷)
82:13 وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ ٤١
82:14
Ahmed Ali
The wicked certainly in Hell:
Shakir
And most surely the wicked are in burning fire,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک بدکار (ف۱۸) ضرور دوزخ میں ہیں،
82:14 يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ٥١
82:15
Ahmed Ali
They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement,
Shakir
They shall enter it on the day of judgment.
Ahmed Raza Khan
انصاف کے دن اس میں جائیں گے،
82:15 وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ ٦١
82:16
Ahmed Ali
And will not be removed from it.
Shakir
And they shall by no means be absent from it.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس سے کہیں چھپ نہ سکیں گے،
82:16 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ٧١
82:17
Ahmed Ali
How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is?
Shakir
And what will make you realize what the day of judgement is?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور تو کیا جانیں کیسا انصاف کا دن،
82:17 ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ٨١
82:18
Ahmed Ali
How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is?
Shakir
Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment Is?
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر تو کیا جانے کیسا انصاف کا دن،
82:18 يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ ٩١
82:19
Ahmed Ali
It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God´s alone will be done.
Shakir
The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah´s.

جس دن کوئی جان کسی جان کا کچھ اختیار نہ رکھے گی (ف۱۹) اور سارا حکم اس دن اللہ کا ہے،
82:19 سورة المطففين
83:1
Ahmed Ali
WOE TO THOSE who give short measure,
Shakir
Woe to the defrauders,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کم تولنے والوں کی خرابی ہے،
83:1 ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ٢
83:2
Ahmed Ali
Who insist on being given full when they take from others,
Shakir
Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully,
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ کہ جب اوروں سے ناپ لیں پورا لیں،
83:2 وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ٣
83:3
Ahmed Ali
Whilst when they measure or weigh for them, give less.
Shakir
But when they measure out to others or weigh out for them, they are deficient.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب انہیں ناپ تول کردی کم کردیں،
83:3 أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ٤
83:4
Ahmed Ali
Do they not think they will be raised (to life) again
Shakir
Do not these think that they shall be raised again
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا ان لوگوں کو گمان نہیں کہ انہیں اٹھنا ہے،
83:4 لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ٥
83:5
Ahmed Ali
On a grievous day,
Shakir
For a mighty day,
Ahmed Raza Khan
ایک عظمت والے دن کے لیے (ف۲)
83:5 يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٦
83:6
Ahmed Ali
The day all mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds?
Shakir
The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds?

جس دن سب لوگ (ف۳) رب العالمین کے حضور کھڑے ہوں گے،
