74:48 فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلتَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِينَ ٩٤

Why then do they turn away from the admonition

What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition

تو انہیں کیا ہوا نصیحت سے منہ پھیرتے ہیں (ف۳۴)
74:49 كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ ٠٥

As though they were frightened asses

As if they were asses taking fright

گویا وہ بھڑکے ہوئے گدھے ہوں،
74:50 فَرَّتْ مِن قَسْوَرَةٍۭ ١٥

Fleeing from a lion?
Shakir
That had fled from a lion?

کہ شیر سے بھاگے ہوں (ف۳۵)
74:51 بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًا مُّنَشَّرَةً ٢٥
74:52
Ahmed Ali
In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets).
Shakir
Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out;

بلکہ ان میں کا ہر شخص چاہتا ہے کہ کھلے صحیفے اس کے ہاتھ میں دے دیے جائیں (ف۳۶)
74:52 كَلَّا بَل لَّا يَخَافُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ ٣٥
74:53
Ahmed Ali
By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter.
Shakir
Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter.

ہرگز نہیں بلکہ ان کو آخرت کا ڈر نہیں (ف۳۷)
74:53 كَلَّآ إِنَّهُۥ تَذْكِرَةٌ ٤٥

Ahmed Ali
Never so, as this is a reminder.
Shakir
Nay! it is surely an admonition.

ہاں ہاں بیشک وہ (ف۳۸) نصیحت ہے،
74:54 فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ ٥٥
74:55
Ahmed Ali
Let him then who heeds remember it.
Shakir
So whoever pleases may mind it.

تو جو چاہے اس سے نصیحت لے،
74:55 وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ هُوَ أَهْلُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ ٦٥
74:56
Ahmed Ali
But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving
Shakir
And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive.

اور وہ کیا نصیحت مانیں مگر جب اللہ چاہے، وہی ہے ڈرنے کے لائق اور اسی کی شان ہے مغفرت فرمانا،
74:56 سورة القيامة
75:1
Ahmed Ali
I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection,
Shakir
Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection.
Ahmed Raza Khan
روزِ قیامت کی قسم! یاد فرماتا ہوں،
75:1 وَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلنَّفْسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ ٢
75:2
Ahmed Ali
And I call the reprehensive soul to witness:
Shakir
Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس جان کی قسم! جو اپنے اوپر ملامت کرے (ف۲)
75:2 أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ ٣
75:3
Ahmed Ali
Does man think We shall not put his bones together?
Shakir
Does man think that We shall not gather his bones?
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا آدمی (ف۳) یہ سمجھتا ہے کہ ہم ہرگز اس کی ہڈیاں جمع نہ فرمائیں گے،
75:3 بَلَىٰ قَٰدِرِينَ عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُۥ ٤
75:4
Ahmed Ali
Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips.
Shakir
Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips

کیوں نہیں ہم قادر ہیں کہ اس کے پور ٹھیک بنادیں (ف۴)
75:4 بَلْ يُرِيدُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ ٥
75:5
Ahmed Ali
Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him.
Shakir
Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him.

بلکہ آدمی چاہتا ہے کہ اس کی نگاہ کے سامنے بدی کرے (ف۵)
75:5 يَسْـَٔلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ ٦
75:6
Ahmed Ali
He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?"
Shakir
He asks: When is the day of resurrection?
Ahmed Raza Khan
پوچھتا ہے قیامت کا دن کب ہوگا،
75:6 فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلْبَصَرُ ٧
75:7
Ahmed Ali
Yet when the eyes are dazzled,
Shakir
So when the sight becomes dazed,

پھر جس دن آنکھ چوندھیائے گی (ف۶)
75:7 وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ ٨
75:8
Ahmed Ali
The moon eclipsed,
Shakir
And the moon becomes dark,

اور چاند کہے گا (ف۷)
75:8 وَجُمِعَ ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ ٩
75:9
Ahmed Ali
And the sun and moon are conjoined,
Shakir
And the sun and the moon are brought together,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور سورج اور چاند ملادیے جائیں گے (ف۸)
75:9 يَقُولُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ ٱلْمَفَرُّ ٠١
75:10
Ahmed Ali
That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?"
Shakir
Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس دن آدمی کہے گا کدھر بھاگ کر جاؤں (ف۹)
75:10 كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ ١١
75:11
Ahmed Ali
Never so, for there will be no escape.
Shakir
By no means! there shall be no place of refuge!
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہرگز نہیں کوئی پناہ نہیں،
75:11 إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ ٢١
75:12
Ahmed Ali
With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day.
Shakir
With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس دن تیرے رب ہی کی طرف جاکر ٹھہرنا ہے (ف۱۰)
75:12 يُنَبَّؤُا۟ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ ٣١
75:13
Ahmed Ali
Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind.
Shakir
Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس دن آدمی کو اس کا سب اگلا پچھلا جتادیا جائے گا (ف۱۱)
75:13 بَلِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِۦ بَصِيرَةٌ ٤١
75:14
Ahmed Ali
In fact man is a witness against himself,
Shakir
Nay! man is evidence against himself,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بلکہ آدمی خود ہی اپنے حال پر پوری نگاہ رکھتا ہے،
75:14 وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ ٥١
75:15
Ahmed Ali
Whatever the excuses he may offer.
Shakir
Though he puts forth his excuses.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اگر اس کے پاس جتنے بہانے ہوں سب لا ڈالے،
75:15 لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ ٦١
75:16
Ahmed Ali
Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste.
Shakir
Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب بھی نہ سنا جائے گا تم یاد کرنے کی جلدی میں قرآن کے ساتھ اپنی زبان کو حرکت نہ دو (ف۱۲)
75:16 إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُۥ وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ ٧١
75:17
Ahmed Ali
Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility.
Shakir
Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it.

بیشک اس کا محفوظ کرنا (ف۱۳) اور پڑھنا (ف۱۴) ہمارے ذمہ ہے،
75:17 فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَٰهُ فَٱتَّبِعْ قُرْءَانَهُۥ ٨١
75:18
Ahmed Ali
So, as We recite it, follow its reading.
Shakir
Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation.

تو جب ہم اسے پڑھ چکیں (ف۱۵) اس وقت اس پڑھے ہوئے کی اتباع کرو (ف۱۶)
75:18 ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُۥ ٩١

The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us.
Shakir
Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it.

پھر بیشک اس کی باریکیوں کا تم پر ظاہر فرمانا ہمارے ذمہ ہے،

But no. You love this transient life,
Shakir
Nay! But you love the present life,

کوئی نہیں بلکہ اے کافرو! تم پاؤں تلے کی (دنیاوی فائدے کو) عزیز دوست رکھتے ہو (ف۱۷)
75:20 وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ ١٢
75:21
Ahmed Ali
And neglect the Hereafter.
Shakir
And neglect the hereafter.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور آخرت کو چھوڑ بیٹھے ہو،
75:21 وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ ٢٢
75:22
Ahmed Ali
How many faces will be refulgent on that Day,
Shakir
(Some) faces on that day shall be bright,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کچھ منہ اس دن (ف۱۸) تر و تازہ ہوں گے (ف۱۹)
75:22 إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ ٣٢
75:23
Ahmed Ali
Waiting for their Lord.
Shakir
Looking to their Lord.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اپنے رب کا دیکھتے (ف۲۰)
75:23 وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌ ٤٢
75:24
Ahmed Ali
And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone
Shakir
And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy,

اور کچھ منہ اس دن بگڑے ہوئے ہوں گے (ف۲۱)
75:24 تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ ٥٢
75:25
Ahmed Ali
Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them.
Shakir
Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity.
Ahmed Raza Khan
سمجھتے ہوں گے کہ ان کے ساتھ وہ کی جائے گی جو کمر کو توڑ دے (ف۲۲)
75:25 كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ ٦٢
75:26
Ahmed Ali
Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula,
Shakir
Nay! When it comes up to the throat,
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہاں ہاں جب جان گلے کو پہنچ جائے گی (ف۲۳)
75:26 وَقِيلَ مَنْ رَاقٍ ٧٢
75:27
Ahmed Ali
And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?"
Shakir
And it is said: Who will be a magician?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کہیں گے (ف۲۴) کہ ہے کوئی جھاڑ پھونک کرے (ف۲۵)
75:27 وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُ ٨٢
75:28
Ahmed Ali
He will then realise it is the parting,
Shakir
And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting
Ahmed Raza Khan
سمجھ لے گا کہ یہ جدائی کی گھڑی ہے (ف۲۷)
75:28 وَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِ ٩٢
75:29
Ahmed Ali
And anguish will be heaped upon anguish:
Shakir
And affliction is combined with affliction;

اور پنڈلی سے پنڈلی لپٹ جائے گی (ف۲۸)
75:29 إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُ ٠٣
75:30
Ahmed Ali
To your Lord then will be the driving.
Shakir
To your Lord on that day shall be the driving.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس دن تیرے رب ہی کی طرف ہانکنا ہے (ف۱۹)
75:30 فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ ١٣
75:31
Ahmed Ali
For he neither believed nor prayed,
Shakir
So he did not accept the truth, nor did he pray,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس نے (ف۳۰) نہ تو سچ مانا (ف۳۱) اور نہ نماز پڑھی،
75:31 وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ٢٣
75:32
Ahmed Ali
But only disavowed and turned away;
Shakir
But called the truth a lie and turned back,
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہاں جھٹلایا اور منہ پھیرا (ف۳۲)
75:32 ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓ ٣٣
75:33
Ahmed Ali
Then he strutted back to his people.
Shakir
Then he went to his followers, walking away in haughtiness.

پھر اپنے گھر کو اکڑتا چلا (ف۳۳)
75:33 أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ ٤٣
75:34
Ahmed Ali
Alas the woe for you, alas!
Shakir
Nearer to you (is destruction) and nearer,
Ahmed Raza Khan
تیری خرابی ا ٓ لگی اب آ لگی،
75:34 ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓ ٥٣
75:35
Ahmed Ali
Alas, the woe for you!
Shakir
Again (consider how) nearer to you and nearer.

پھر تیری خرابی آ لگی اب آ لگی، (ف۳۴)
75:35 أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى ٦٣
75:36
Ahmed Ali
Does man think that he will be left alone to himself, free?
Shakir
Does man think that he is to be left to wander without an aim?
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا آدمی اس گھمنڈ میں ہے کہ آزاد چھوڑ دیا جائے گا (ف۳۵)
75:36 أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰ ٧٣
75:37
Ahmed Ali
Was he not an emitted drop of semen,
Shakir
Was he not a small seed in the seminal elements,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا وہ ایک بوند نہ تھا اس منی کا کہ گرائی جائے (ف۳۶)
75:37 ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ٨٣
75:38
Ahmed Ali
Then formed into an embryo? Then He fashioned, shaped and proportioned
Shakir
Then he was a clot of blood, so He created (him) then made (him) perfect.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر خون کی پھٹک ہوا تو اس نے پیدا فرمایا (ف۳۷) پھر ٹھیک بنایا (ف۳۸)
75:38 فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ ٩٣
75:39
Ahmed Ali
And assigned it sexes, male and female.
Shakir
Then He made of him two kinds, the male and the female.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اس سے (ف۳۹) دو جوڑ بنائے (ف۴۰) مرد اور عورت،
75:39 أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْۦِىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ٠٤
75:40
Ahmed Ali
Cannot such as He bring the dead to life?
Shakir
Is not He able to give life to the dead?
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا جس نے یہ کچھ کیا وہ مردے نہ جِلا سکے گا،
75:40 سورة الانسان
76:1
Ahmed Ali
WAS THERE NOT a time in the life of man when he was not even a mentionable thing?
Shakir
There surely came over man a period of time when he was a thing not worth mentioning.

بیشک آدمی پر (ف۲) ایک وقت وہ گزرا کہ کہیں اس کا نام بھی نہ تھا (ف۳)
76:1 إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا ٢
76:2
Ahmed Ali
Verily We created man from a sperm yoked (to the ovum) to bring out his real substance, then gave him hearing and sight.
Shakir
Surely We have created man from a small life-germ uniting (itself): We mean to try him, so We have made him hearing, seeing.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک ہم نے آدمی کو کیا ملی ہوئی منی سے (ف۴) کہ وہ اسے جانچیں (ف۵) تو اسے سنتا دیکھتا کردیا (ف۶)
76:2 إِنَّا هَدَيْنَٰهُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا ٣
76:3
Ahmed Ali
We surely showed him the way that he may either be grateful or deny.
Shakir
Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک ہم نے اسے راہ بتائی (ف۷) یا حق مانتا (ف۸) یا ناشکری کرتا (ف۹)
76:3 إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ سَلَٰسِلَا۟ وَأَغْلَٰلًا وَسَعِيرًا ٤
76:4
Ahmed Ali
We have prepared for unbelievers chains and collars and a blazing fire.
Shakir
Surely We have prepared for the unbelievers chains and shackles and a burning fire.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک ہم نے کافروں کے لیے تیار کر رکھی ہیں زنجیریں (ف۱۰) اور طوق (ف۱۱) اور بھڑکتی آگ (ف۱۲)
76:4 إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِن كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا ٥
76:5
Ahmed Ali
Surely the devotees will drink cups flavoured with palm blossoms
Shakir
Surely the righteous shall drink of a cup the admixture of which is camphor

بیشک نیک پئیں گے اس جام میں سے جس کی ملونی کافور ہے وہ کافور کیا ایک چشمہ ہے (ف۱۳)
