سورة الطلاق
65:1
Ahmed Ali
O PROPHET WHEN you divorce women, divorce them at their appointed period, and calculate that period, and fear God, your Lord. Do not expel them from their houses, nor should they go away themselves, unless they are openly guilty of adultery. These are the limits set by God. Any one who exceeds the limits set by God sins against his own self. You never know that God may perchance lead to a new situation after this.
Shakir
O Prophet! when you divorce women, divorce them for~ their prescribed time, and calculate the number of the days prescribed, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, your Lord. Do not drive them out of their houses, nor should they themselves go forth, unless they commit an open indecency; and these are the limits of Allah, and whoever goes beyond the limits of Allah, he indeed does injustice to his own soul. You do not know that Allah may after that bring about reunion.

اے نبی (ف۲) جب تم لوگ عورتوں کو طلاق دو تو ان کی عدت کے وقت پر انہیں طلاق دو اور عدت کا شمار رکھو (ف۳) اور اپنے رب اللہ سے ڈرو، عدت میں انہیں ان کے گھروں سے نہ نکالو اور نہ وہ آپ نکلیں (ف۴) مگر یہ کہ کوئی صریح بے حیائی کی بات لائیں (ف۵) اور یہ اللہ کی حدیں ہیں، اور جو اللہ کی حدوں سے آگے بڑھا بیشک اس نے اپنی جان پر ظلم کیا، تمہیں نہیں معلوم شاید اللہ اس کے بعد کوئی نیا حکم بھیجے (ف۶)
65:1 فَإِذَا بَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ فَارِقُوهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوفٍ وَأَشْهِدُوا۟ ذَوَىْ عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَ لِلَّهِ ذَٰلِكُمْ يُوعَظُ بِهِۦ مَن كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًا ٢
65:2

When they have reached their appointed time, then either keep them lawfully or let them go honourably; but have two witnesses from among you, and give truthful evidence for (being acceptable to) God. This is to warn him who believes in God and the Last Day. God will furnish a way out for him who fears Him,
Shakir
So when they have reached their prescribed time, then retain them with kindness or separate them with kindness, and call to witness two men of justice from among you, and give upright testimony for Allah. With that is admonished he who believes in Allah and the latter day; and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah, He will make for him an outlet,
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو جب وہ اپنی میعاد تک پہنچنے کو ہوں (ف۷) تو انہیں بھلائی کے ساتھ روک لو یا بھلائی کے ساتھ جدا کرو (ف۸) اور اپنے میں دو ثقہ کو گواہ کرلو اور اللہ کے لیے گواہی قائم کرو (ف۹) اس سے نصیحت فرمائی جاتی ہے اسے جو اللہ اور پچھلے دن پر ایمان رکھتا ہو (ف۱۰) اور جو اللہ سے ڈرے (ف۱۱) اللہ اس کے لیے نجات کی راہ نکال دے گا (ف۱۲)
65:2 وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بَٰلِغُ أَمْرِهِۦ قَدْ جَعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدْرًا ٣
65:3
Ahmed Ali
And provide for him from where he does not reckon. God is sufficient for him who places his trust in Him. Certainly God fulfills His purpose. God has indeed fixed a measure of everything.
Shakir
And give him sustenance from whence he thinks not; and whoever trusts in Allah, He is sufficient for him; surely Allah attains His purpose; Allah indeed has appointed a measure for everything.

اور اسے وہاں سے روزی دے گا جہاں اس کا گمان نہ ہو، اور جو اللہ پر بھروسہ کرے تو وہ اسے کافی ہے (ف۱۳) بیشک اللہ اپنا کام پورا کرنے والا ہے، بیشک اللہ نے ہر چیز کا ایک اندازہ رکھا ہے،
65:3 وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى يَئِسْنَ مِنَ ٱلْمَحِيضِ مِن نِّسَآئِكُمْ إِنِ ٱرْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَٰثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى لَمْ يَحِضْنَ وَأُو۟لَٰتُ ٱلْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَن يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ يُسْرًا ٤
65:4
Ahmed Ali
As for your women who have lost hope of menstruation, and in case you have a doubt, the prescribed period (of waiting) for them is three months, as also for those who have not menstruated yet. As for those who are pregnant, their prescribed period is until the delivery of the child. God will make things easy for him who is mindful of God.
Shakir
And (as for) those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, if you have a doubt, their prescribed time shall be three months, and of those too who have not had their courses; and (as for) the pregnant women, their prescribed time is that they lay down their burden; and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah He will make easy for him his affair.

اور تمہاری عورتوں میں جنہیں حیض کی امید نہ رہی (ف۱۴) اگر تمہیں کچھ شک ہو (ف۱۵) تو ان کی عدت تین مہینے ہے اور ان کی جنہیں ابھی حیض نہ آیا (ف۱۶) اور حمل والیوں کی میعاد یہ ہے کہ وہ اپنا حمل جَن لیں (ف۱۷) اور جو اللہ سے ڈرے اللہ اس کے کام میں آسانی فرمادے گا،
65:4 ذَٰلِكَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ أَنزَلَهُۥٓ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يُكَفِّرْ عَنْهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ وَيُعْظِمْ لَهُۥٓ أَجْرًا ٥
65:5
Ahmed Ali
This is the commandment of God that is sent down to you. God will forgive the ills of those who fear Him, and increase their reward.
Shakir
That is the command of Allah which He has revealed to you, and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah, He will remove from him his evil and give him a big reward.
Ahmed Raza Khan
یہ (ف۱۸) اللہ کا حکم ہے کہ اس نے تمہاری طرف اتارا، اور جو اللہ سے ڈرے (ف۱۹) اللہ اس کی برائیاں اتار دے گا اور اسے بڑا ثواب دے گا،
65:5

يَضَعْنَ
حَمْلَهُنَّ
فَإِنْ
أَرْضَعْنَ
لَكُمْ
فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ
أُجُورَهُنَّ
وَأْتَمِرُوا۟
بَيْنَكُم
بِمَعْرُوفٍ
وَإِن
تَعَاسَرْتُمْ
فَسَتُرْضِعُ
لَهُۥٓ
أُخْرَىٰ

House the (divorced) women where you live, according to your means; but do not harass them so as to reduce them to straitened circumstances. If they are pregnant, then spend on them until they give birth to the child. And if they suckle the child for you, then make the due payment to them, and consult each other appropriately. But if you find this difficult, let some other woman suckle (the child) for her.
Shakir
Lodge them where you lodge according to your means, and do not injure them in order that you may straiten them; and if they are pregnant, spend on them until they lay down their burden; then if they suckle for you, give them their recompense and enjoin one another among you to do good; and if you disagree, another (woman) shall suckle for him.

عورتوں کو وہاں رکھو جہاں خود رہتے ہو اپنی طاقت بھر (ف۲۰) اور انہیں ضرر نہ دو کہ ان پر تنگی کرو (ف۲۱) اور اگر (ف۲۲) حمل والیاں ہوں تو انہیں نان و نفقہ دو یہاں تک کہ ان کے بچہ پیدا ہو (ف۲۳) پھر اگر وہ تمہارے لیے بچہ کو دودھ پلائیں تو انہیں اس کی اجرت دو (ف۲۴) اور آپس میں معقول طور پر مشورہ کرو (ف۲۵) پھر اگر باہم مضائقہ کرو (دشوار سمجھو) (ف۲۶) تو قریب ہے کہ اسے اور دودھ پلانے والی مل جائے گی،
65:6 لِيُنفِقْ ذُو سَعَةٍ مِّن سَعَتِهِۦ وَمَن قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُۥ فَلْيُنفِقْ مِمَّآ ءَاتَىٰهُ ٱللَّهُ لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا مَآ ءَاتَىٰهَا سَيَجْعَلُ ٱللَّهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٍ يُسْرًا ٧
65:7
Ahmed Ali
Let the man of means spend according to his means, and he whose means are limited, should spend of what God has given him. God does not burden a soul beyond what He has given him. God will bring ease after hardship.
Shakir
Let him who has abundance spend out of his abundance and whoever has his means of subsistence straitened to him, let him spend out of that which Allah has given him; Allah does not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent to which He has granted it; Allah brings about ease after difficulty.
Ahmed Raza Khan
مقدور والا (ف۲۷) اپنے مقدور کے قابل نفقہ دے، اور جس پر اس کا رزق تنگ کیا گیا وہ اس میں سے نفقہ دے جو اسے اللہ نے دیا، اللہ کسی جان پر بوجھ نہیں رکھتا مگر اسی قابل جتنا اسے دیا ہے، قریب ہے اللہ دشواری کے بعد آسانی فرمادے گا (ف۲۸)
65:7 وَكَأَيِّن مِّن قَرْيَةٍ عَتَتْ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهَا وَرُسُلِهِۦ فَحَاسَبْنَٰهَا حِسَابًا شَدِيدًا وَعَذَّبْنَٰهَا عَذَابًا نُّكْرًا ٨
65:8
Ahmed Ali
How many habitations rebelled against their Lord´s command and His apostles; but We took them to severe task, and punished them with the harshest punishment.
Shakir
And how many a town which rebelled against the commandment of its Lord and His messengers, so We called it to account severely and We chastised it (with) a stern chastisement.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کتنے ہی شہر تھے جنہوں نے اپنے رب کے حکم اور اس کے رسولوں سے سرکشی کی تو ہم نے ان سے سخت حسا ب لیا (ف۲۹) اور انہیں بری مار دی (ف۳۰)
65:8 فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا ٩
65:9
Ahmed Ali
So they tasted the pain of their actions; and the consequence of their deeds was ruin.
Shakir
So it tasted the evil result of its conduct, and the end of its affair was perdition.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو انہوں نے اپنے کیے کا وبال چکھا اور ان کے کام انجام گھاٹا ہوا،
65:9 أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ يَٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ قَدْ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَيْكُمْ ذِكْرًا ٠١
65:10
Ahmed Ali
God has prepared for them severe punishment. So, you men of wisdom, and those who believe, take heed for yourselves and fear God. God has indeed sent down a Reminder for you,
Shakir
Allah has prepared for them severe chastisement, therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah, O men of understanding who believe! Allah has indeed revealed to you a reminder,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اللہ نے ان کے لیے سخت عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے تو اللہ سے ڈرو اے عقل والو! وہ جو ایمان لائے ہو، بیشک اللہ نے تمہارے لیے عزت اتاری ہے،
65:10 رَّسُولًا يَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ مُبَيِّنَٰتٍ لِّيُخْرِجَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَيَعْمَلْ صَٰلِحًا يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا قَدْ أَحْسَنَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ رِزْقًا ١١
65:11
Ahmed Ali
An Apostle who recites before you the explicating revelations of God that He may bring those who believe and do the right out of darkness into light. Whosoever believes in God and does the right, He will admit into gardens with rivers flowing by, where they will abide for ever. How excellent a provision has God made for him
Shakir
An Messenger who recites to you the clear communications of Allah so that he may bring forth those who believe and do good deeds from darkness into light; and whoever believes in Allah and does good deeds, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers now, to abide therein forever, Allah has indeed given him a goodly sustenance.

وہ رسول (ف۳۱) کہ تم پر اللہ کی روشن آیتیں پڑھتا ہے تاکہ انہیں جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے (ف۳۲) اندھیریوں سے (ف۳۳) اجالے کی طرف لے جائے، اور جو اللہ پر ایمان لائے اور اچھا کام کرے وہ اسے باغوں میں لے جائے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں جن میں ہمیشہ ہمیشہ رہیں، بیشک اللہ نے اس کے لیے اچھی روزی رکھی (ف۳۴)
65:11 ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَٰوَٰتٍ وَمِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ ٱلْأَمْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًۢا ٢١
65:12
Ahmed Ali
It is God who created several skies, and as many earths. The commandment is sent down among them so that you may know that God has power over everything, and everything is held within the knowledge of God.
Shakir
Allah is He Who created seven heavens, and of the earth the like of them; the decree continues to descend among them, that you may know that Allah has power over all things and that Allah indeed encompasses all things in (His) knowledge.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اللہ ہے جس نے سات آسمان بنائے (ف۳۵) اور انہی کی برابر زمینیں (ف۳۶) حکم ان کے درمیان اترتا ہے (ف۳۷) تاکہ تم جان لو کہ اللہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے، اللہ کا علم ہر چیز کو محیط ہے،
