تَجِدُ
قَوْمًا
يُؤْمِنُونَ
بِٱللَّهِ
وَٱلْيَوْمِ
ٱلْءَاخِرِ
يُوَآدُّونَ
مَنْ
حَآدَّ
ٱللَّهَ
وَرَسُولَهُۥ
وَلَوْ
كَانُوٓا۟
ءَابَآءَهُمْ
أَوْ
أَبْنَآءَهُمْ
أَوْ
إِخْوَٰنَهُمْ
أَوْ
عَشِيرَتَهُمْ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
كَتَبَ
فِى
قُلُوبِهِمُ
ٱلْإِيمَٰنَ
وَأَيَّدَهُم
بِرُوحٍ
مِّنْهُ
وَيُدْخِلُهُمْ
جَنَّٰتٍ
تَجْرِى
مِن
تَحْتِهَا
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
خَٰلِدِينَ
فِيهَا
رَضِىَ
ٱللَّهُ
عَنْهُمْ
وَرَضُوا۟
عَنْهُ
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
حِزْبُ
ٱللَّهِ
أَلَآ
إِنَّ
حِزْبَ
ٱللَّهِ
هُمُ
ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ

لِلَّهِ
مَا
فِى
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
وَمَا
فِى
ٱلْأَرْضِ
وَهُوَ
ٱلْعَزِيزُ
ٱلْحَكِيمُ

Ahmed Ali
You will not find those who believe in God and the Day of Resurrection, loving those who oppose God and His Prophet, even though they be their fathers, sons, or brothers or their kin. God has inscribed on their hearts belief, and has succoured them with His own grace, and will admit them to gardens with rivers flowing by, where they will abide for ever, God accepting them, and they, happy in the pleasure of God. They are verily the army of God. Will not the army of God be victorious?

You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the latter day befriending those who act in opposition to Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has impressed faith, and whom He has strengthened with an inspiration from Him: and He will cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him these are Allah´s party: now surely the party of Allah are the successful ones.

تم نہ پاؤ گے ان لوگوں کو جو یقین رکھتے ہیں اللہ اور پچھلے دن پر کہ دوستی کریں ان سے جنہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے مخالفت کی (ف۵۹) اگرچہ وہ ان کے باپ یا بیٹے یا بھائی یا کنبے والے ہوں (ف۶۰) یہ ہیں جن کے دلوں میں اللہ نے ایمان نقش فرمادیا اور اپنی طرف کی روح سے ان کی مدد کی (ف۶۱) اور انہیں باغوں میں لے جائے گا جن کے نیچے نہریں بہیں ان میں ہمیشہ رہیں، اللہ ان سے راضی (ف۶۲) اور وہ اللہ سے راضی (ف۶۳) یہ اللہ کی جماعت ہے، سنتا ہے اللہ ہی کی جماعت کامیاب ہے،

WHATEVER IS IN the heavens and the earth sings the praises of God. He is all-mighty and all-wise.
Shakir
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth declares the glory of Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

اللہ کی پاکی بولتا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں، اور وہ وہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے (ف۲)
59:1 هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمْ لِأَوَّلِ ٱلْحَشْرِ مَا ظَنَنتُمْ أَن يَخْرُجُوا۟ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُم مَّانِعَتُهُمْ حُصُونُهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ فَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَمْ يَحْتَسِبُوا۟ وَقَذَفَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلرُّعْبَ يُخْرِبُونَ بُيُوتَهُم بِأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَيْدِى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَٱعْتَبِرُوا۟ يَٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ ٢
59:2
Ahmed Ali
It is He who drove those among the people of the Book who refused to believe, from their homes for the first confrontation. You did not think that they would go away, and they imagined that their forts would protect them against God. But God came upon them from where they did not suspect, and filled their hearts with terror, so that they destroyed their homes with their own hands (or were destroyed) by the hands of believers. So take heed, O men of sight!

He it is Who caused those who disbelieved of the followers of the Book to go forth from their homes at the first banishment you did not think that they would go forth, while they were certain that their fortresses would defend them against Allah; but Allah came to them whence they did not expect, and cast terror into their hearts; they demolished their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers; therefore take a lesson, O you who have eyes!

وہی ہے جس نے ان کافر کتابیوں کو (ف۳) ان کے گھروں سے نکالا (ف۴) ان کے پہلے حشر کے لیے (ف۵) تمہیں گمان نہ تھا کہ وہ نکلیں گے (ف۶) اور وہ سمجھتے تھے کہ ان کے قلعے انہیں اللہ سے بچالیں گے تو اللہ کا حکم ان کے پاس آیا جہاں سے ان کا گمان بھی نہ تھا (ف۷) اور اس نے ان کے دلوں میں رُعب ڈالا (ف۸) کہ اپنے گھر ویران کرتے ہیں اپنے ہاتھوں (ف۹) اور مسلمانوں کے ہاتھوں (ف۱۰) تو عبرت لو اے نگاہ والو،
59:2 وَلَوْلَآ أَن كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْجَلَآءَ لَعَذَّبَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابُ ٱلنَّارِ ٣
59:3
Ahmed Ali
Had God not decreed the expulsion for them He would have punished them in this world, and in the next the punishment of Hell would have been theirs.
Shakir
And had it not been that Allah had decreed for them the exile, He would certainly have punished them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have chastisement of the fire.

اور اگر نہ ہوتا کہ اللہ نے ان پر گھر سے اجڑنا لکھ دیا تھا تو دنیا ہی میں ان پر عذاب فرماتا (ف۱۱) اور ان کے لیے (ف۱۲) آخرت میں آگ کا عذاب ہے،

فَإِنَّ
ٱللَّهَ

Ahmed Ali
For they had opposed God and His Apostle; and whosoever opposes God, then God is severe in retribution.
Shakir
That is because they acted in opposition to Allah and His Messenger, and whoever acts in opposition to Allah, then surely Allah is severe in retributing (evil).

یہ اس لیے کہ وہ اللہ سے اور اس کے رسول سے پھٹے (جدا) رہے (ف۱۳) اور جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے پھٹا رہے تو بیشک اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے،
59:4 مَا قَطَعْتُم مِّن لِّينَةٍ أَوْ تَرَكْتُمُوهَا قَآئِمَةً عَلَىٰٓ أُصُولِهَا فَبِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيُخْزِىَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ ٥
59:5
Ahmed Ali
The palm trees that you cut down or left standing intact was by God´s dispensation, so that He might disgrace the transgressors.
Shakir
Whatever palm-tree you cut down or leave standing upon its roots, It is by Allah´s command, and that He may abase the transgressors.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو درخت تم نے کاٹے یا ان کی جڑوں پر قائم چھوڑ دیے یہ سب اللہ کی اجازت سے تھا (ف۱۴) اور اس لیے کہ فاسقوں کو رسوا کرے (ف۱۵)
59:5 وَمَآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَوْجَفْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ خَيْلٍ وَلَا رِكَابٍ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُسَلِّطُ رُسُلَهُۥ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ٦
59:6
Ahmed Ali
You did not charge with horse or camel for whatever (spoils) God gave His Apostle from them. In any case, God gives authority to His Apostle over whomsoever He please. God has power over everything.
Shakir
And whatever Allah restored to His Messenger from them you did not press forward against it any horse or a riding camel but Allah gives authority to His messengers against whom He pleases, and Allah has power over all things.

اور جو غنیمت دلائی اللہ نے اپنے رسول کو ان سے (ف۱۶) تو تم نے ان پر نہ اپنے گھوڑے دوڑائے تھے اور نہ اونٹ (ف۱۷) ہاں اللہ اپنے رسولوں کے قابو میں دے دیتا ہے جسے چاہے (ف۱۸) اور اللہ سب کچھ کرسکتا ہے،
59:6 مَّآ أَفَآءَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْقُرَىٰ فَلِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ وَلِذِى ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينِ وَٱبْنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ كَىْ لَا يَكُونَ دُولَةًۢ بَيْنَ ٱلْأَغْنِيَآءِ مِنكُمْ وَمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَىٰكُمْ عَنْهُ فَٱنتَهُوا۟ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ ٧
59:7
Ahmed Ali
Whatever booty God gives to His Apostle from the people of the cities, is for God and His Apostle, the near relations, the orphans, the needy and wayfarers, so that it does not concentrate in the hands of those who are rich among you. Accept what the Apostle gives you, and refrain from what he forbids, and take heed for yourself and fear God. Surely God is severe of retribution.

Whatever Allah has restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns, it is for Allah and for the Messenger, and for the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer, so that it may not be a thing taken by turns among the rich of you, and whatever the Messenger gives you, accept it, and from whatever he forbids you, keep back, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is severe in retributing (evil):

جو غنیمت دلائی اللہ نے اپنے رسول کو شہر والوں سے (ف۱۹) وہ اللہ اور رسول کی ہے اور رشتہ داروں (ف۲۰) اور یتیموں اور مسکینوں اور مسافروں کے لیے کہ تمہارے اغنیا کا مال نہ جائے (ف۹۲۱ اور جو کچھ تمہیں رسول عطا فرمائیں وہ لو (ف۲۲) اور جس سے منع فرمائیں باز رہو، اور اللہ سے ڈرو (ف۲۳) بیشک اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے (ف۲۴)
59:7 لِلْفُقَرَآءِ ٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا۟ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمْ وَأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنًا وَيَنصُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ ٨
59:8
Ahmed Ali
The spoils are also for the poor emigrants who were deprived of their homes and possessions and are seeking the bounty and protection of God, and are helping God and His Apostle. They are the ones who are true of word and deed.
Shakir
(It is) for the poor who fled their homes and their possessions, seeking grace of Allah and (His) pleasure, and assisting Allah and His Messenger: these it is that are the truthful.

ان فقیر ہجرت کرنے والوں کے لیے جو اپنے گھروں اور مالوں سے نکالے گئے (ف۲۵) اللہ کا فضل (ف۲۶) اور اس کی رضا چاہتے اور اللہ و رسول کی مدد کرتے (ف۲۷) وہی سچے ہیں (ف۲۸)
59:8 وَٱلَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُو ٱلدَّارَ وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ يُحِبُّونَ مَنْ هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ فِى صُدُورِهِمْ حَاجَةً مِّمَّآ أُوتُوا۟ وَيُؤْثِرُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ وَمَن يُوقَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ ٩
59:9
Ahmed Ali
Those who came to the city and to faith before them, love those who take refuge with them, and do not feel for themselves any need for what is given them, and give them preference over themselves even if they are indigent. Whoever preserves himself from his own greed will be prosperous.
Shakir
And those who made their abode in the city and in the faith before them love those who have fled to them, and do not find in their hearts a need of what they are given, and prefer (them) before themselves though poverty may afflict them, and whoever is preserved from the niggardliness of his soul, these it is that are the successful ones.

اور جنہوں نے پہلے سے (ف۲۹) اس شہر (ف۳۰) اور ایمان میں گھر بنالیا (ف۳۱) دوست رکھتے ہیں انہیں جو ان کی طرف ہجرت کرکے گئے (ف۳۲) اور اپنے دلوں میں کوئی حاجت نہیں پاتے (ف۳۳) اس چیز کو جو دیے گئے (ف۳۴) اور اپنی جانوں پر ان کو ترجیح دیتے ہیں (ف۳۵) اگرچہ انہیں شدید محتاجی ہو (ف۳۶) اور جو اپنے نفس کے لالچ سے بچایا گیا (ف۳۷) تو وہی کامیاب ہیں،
