يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ
قُلِ
ٱللَّهُ
يُفْتِيكُمْ
فِى
ٱلْكَلَٰلَةِ
إِنِ
ٱمْرُؤٌا۟
هَلَكَ
لَيْسَ
لَهُۥ
وَلَدٌ
وَلَهُۥٓ
أُخْتٌ
فَلَهَا
نِصْفُ
مَا
تَرَكَ
وَهُوَ
يَرِثُهَآ
إِن
لَّمْ
يَكُن
لَّهَا
وَلَدٌ
فَإِن
كَانَتَا
ٱثْنَتَيْنِ
فَلَهُمَا
ٱلثُّلُثَانِ
مِمَّا
تَرَكَ
وَإِن
كَانُوٓا۟
إِخْوَةً
رِّجَالًا
وَنِسَآءً
فَلِلذَّكَرِ
مِثْلُ
حَظِّ
ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ
يُبَيِّنُ
ٱللَّهُ
لَكُمْ
أَن
تَضِلُّوا۟
وَٱللَّهُ
بِكُلِّ
شَىْءٍ
عَلِيمٌۢ

بِٱلْعُقُودِ
أُحِلَّتْ
لَكُم
بَهِيمَةُ
ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
إِلَّا
مَا
يُتْلَىٰ
عَلَيْكُمْ
غَيْرَ
مُحِلِّى
ٱلصَّيْدِ
وَأَنتُمْ
حُرُمٌ
إِنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
يَحْكُمُ
مَا
يُرِيدُ

Ahmed Ali
They ask you for judgement about ´Kalalah´ (a man who dies childless). Say: "God has given a decision in the matter of inheritance." If a man dies and leaves no child behind but have a sister, she will get a half of what he owned, as he would have done the whole of what she possessed if she had died a childless person. In ease he has two sisters then they will get two-thirds of the heritage. But if he has both brothers and sisters, the male will inherit a share equal to that of two females. God makes this manifest to you lest you wander astray, for God has knowledge of everything.

They ask you for a decision of the law. Say: Allah gives you a decision concerning the person who has neither parents nor offspring; if a man dies (and) he has no son and he has a sister, she shall have half of what he leaves, and he shall be her heir she has no son; but if there be two (sisters), they shall have two-thirds of what he leaves; and if there are brethren, men and women, then the male shall have the like of the portion of two females; Allah makes clear to you, lest you err; and Allah knows all things.

اے محبوب! تم سے فتویٰ پوچھتے ہیں تم فرمادو کہ اللہ تمہیں کلالہ (ف۴۳۷) میں فتویٰ دیتا ہے، اگر کسی مرد کا انتقال ہو جو بے اولاد ہے (ف۴۳۸) اور اس کی ایک بہن ہو تو ترکہ میں اس کی بہن کا آدھا ہے (ف۴۳۹) اور مرد اپنی بہن کا وارث ہوگا اگر بہن کی اولاد نہ ہو (ف۴۴۰) پھر اگر دو بہنیں ہوں ترکہ میں ان کا دو تہائی اور اگر بھائی بہن ہوں مرد بھی اور عورتیں بھی تو مرد کا حصہ دو عورتوں کے برابر، ا لله تمہارے لئے صاف بیان فرماتا ہے کہ کہیں بہک نہ جاؤ، اور اللہ ہرچیز جانتا ہے،

O YOU WHO believe, fulfil your obligations. Made lawful (as food) for you are animals except those mentioned (here); but unlawful during Pilgrimage is game. God ordains whatsoever He wills.
Shakir
O you who believe! fulfill the obligations. The cattle quadrupeds are allowed to you except that which is recited to you, not violating the prohibition against game when you are entering upon the performance of the pilgrimage; surely Allah orders what He desires.

اے ایمان والو! اپنے قول پورے کرو (ف۲) تمہارے لئے حلال ہوئے بے زبان مویشی مگر وہ جو آگے سنایا جائے گا تم کو (ف۳) لیکن شکار حلال نہ سمجھو جب تم احرام میں ہو (ف۴) بیشک اللہ حکم فرماتا ہے جو چاہے،
5:1 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحِلُّوا۟ شَعَٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلْهَدْىَ وَلَا ٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَٰنًا وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَٱصْطَادُوا۟ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا۟ وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ ٢

O you who believe, do not violate the (sanctity of) offerings to God, nor the rites of the holy month, nor sacrificial cattle with garlands (that are brought to the Ka´bah), nor of the people who flock to the Holy House seeking the bounties of their Lord, and His pleasure. Hunt when you have laid aside the robe of the pilgrim. And do not let your hatred of a people who had barred you from the Holy Mosque lead you to aggression. But help one another in goodness and piety, and do not assist in crime and rebellion, and fear God. Surely God is severe in punishment.

O you who believe! do not violate the signs appointed by Allah nor the sacred month, nor (interfere with) the offerings, nor the sacrificial animals with garlands, nor those going to the sacred house seeking the grace and pleasure of their Lord; and when you are free from the obligations of the pilgrimage, then hunt, and let not hatred of a people-- because they hindered you from the Sacred Masjid-- incite you to exceed the limits, and help one another in goodness and piety, and do not help one another in sin and aggression; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is severe in requiting (evil).

اے ایمان والو! حلال نہ ٹھہرالو اللہ کے نشان (ف۵) اور نہ ادب والے مہینے (ف۶) اور نہ حرم کو بھیجی ہوئی قربانیاں اور نہ (ف۷) جن کے گلے میں علامتیں آویزاں (ف۸) اور نہ ان کا مال و آبرو جو عزت والے گھر کا قصد کرکے آئیں (ف۹) اپنے رب کا فضل اوراس کی خوشی چاہتے اور جب احرام سے نکلو تو شکار کرسکتے ہو (ف۱۰) اور تمہیں کسی قوم کی عداوت کہ انہوں نے تم کو مسجد حرام سے روکا تھا، زیادتی کرنے پر نہ ابھارے (ف۱۱) اور نیکی اور پرہیزگاری پر ایک دوسرے کی مدد کرو اور گناہ اور زیادتی پر باہم مدد نہ دو (ف۱۲) اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو بیشک اللہ کا عذاب سخت ہے،

ٱلْيَوْمَ

ٱلَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا۟
مِن
دِينِكُمْ
فَلَا
تَخْشَوْهُمْ
وَٱخْشَوْنِ
ٱلْيَوْمَ
أَكْمَلْتُ
لَكُمْ
دِينَكُمْ
وَأَتْمَمْتُ
عَلَيْكُمْ
نِعْمَتِى
وَرَضِيتُ
لَكُمُ
ٱلْإِسْلَٰمَ
دِينًا
فَمَنِ
ٱضْطُرَّ
فِى
مَخْمَصَةٍ
غَيْرَ
مُتَجَانِفٍ
لِّإِثْمٍ
فَإِنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
غَفُورٌ
رَّحِيمٌ

Forbidden you is carrion and blood, and the flesh of the swine, and whatsoever has been killed in the name of some other than God, and whatever has been strangled, or killed by a blow or a fall, or by goring, or that which has been mauled by wild beasts unless slaughtered while still alive; and that which has been slaughtered at altars is forbidden, and also dividing the meat by casting lots with arrows. All this is sinful. Today the unbelievers have lost every hope of (despoiling) your creed; so do not fear them, fear Me. Today I have perfected your system of belief and bestowed My favours upon you in full, and have chosen submission (al-Islam) as the creed for you. If one of you is driven by hunger (to eat the forbidden) without the evil intent of sinning, then God is forgiving and kind.

Forbidden to you is that which dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that on which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, and the strangled (animal) and that beaten to death, and that killed by a fall and that killed by being smitten with the horn, and that which wild beasts have eaten, except what you slaughter, and what is sacrificed on stones set up (for idols) and that you divide by the arrows; that is a transgression. This day have those who disbelieve despaired of your religion, so fear them not, and fear Me. This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion; but whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining willfully to sin, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

تم پر حرام ہے (ف۱۳) مُردار اور خون اور سور کا گوشت اور وہ جس کے ذبح میں غیر خدا کا نام پکارا گیا اور جو گلا گھونٹنے سے مرے اور بے دھار کی چیز سے مارا ہوا اور جو گر کر مرا اور جسے کسی جانور نے سینگ مارا اور جسے کوئی درندہ کھا گیا مگر جنہیں تم ذبح کرلو، اور جو کسی تھان پر ذبح کیا گیا اور پانسے ڈال کر بانٹا کرنا یہ گناہ کا کا م ہے، آج تمہارے دین کی طرف سے کافروں کی آس نوٹ گئی (ف۱۴) تو اُن سے نہ ڈرو اور مجھ سے ڈرو آج میں نے تمہارے لئے دین کامل کردیا (ف۱۵) اور تم پر اپنی نعمت پوری کردی (ف۱۶) اور تمہارے لئے اسلام کو دین پسند کیا (ف۱۷) تو جو بھوک پیاس کی شدت میں ناچار ہو یوں کہ گناہ کی طرف نہ جھکے (ف۱۸) تو بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
5:3 يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَآ أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَكُلُوا۟ مِمَّآ أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱسْمَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ ٤

They ask you what is lawful for them. Say: "All things are lawful for you that are clean, and what the trained hunting animals take for you as you have trained then, in the light of God´s teachings, but read over them the name of God, and fear (straying from the path of) God, for God is swift in the reckoning."

They ask you as to what is allowed to them. Say: The good things are allowed to you, and what you have taught the beasts and birds of prey, training them to hunt-- you teach them of what Allah has taught you-- so eat of that which they catch for you and mention the name of Allah over it; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is swift in reckoning.

اے محبوب! تم سے پوچھتے ہیں کہ اُن کے لئے کیا حلال ہوا تم فرمادو کہ حلال کی گئیں تمہارے لئے پاک چیزیں (ف۱۹) اور جو شکاری جانور تم نے سدھالیے (ف۲۰) انہیں شکار پر دوڑاتے جو علم تمہیں خدا نے دیا اس سے انہیں سکھاتے تو کھاؤ اس میں سے جو وہ مار کر تمہارے لیے رہنے دیں (ف۲۱) اور اس پر اللہ کا نام لو (ف۲۲) اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو بیشک اللہ کو حساب کرتے دیر نہیں لگتی،
5:4 ٱلْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ وَطَعَامُ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَٰفِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىٓ أَخْدَانٍ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۥ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ ٥

Ahmed Ali
On this day all things that are clean have been made lawful for you; and made lawful for you is the food of the people of the Book, as your food is made lawful for them. And lawful are the chaste Muslim women, and the women of the people of the Book who are chaste, (for marriage) and not fornication or liaison, if you give them their dowries. Useless shall be rendered the acts of those who turn back on their faith, and they will be among the losers in the life to come.

This day (all) the good things are allowed to you; and the food of those who have been given the Book is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them; and the chaste from among the believing women and the chaste from among those who have been given the Book before you (are lawful for you); when you have given them their dowries, taking (them) in marriage, not fornicating nor taking them for paramours in secret; and whoever denies faith, his work indeed is of no account, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers.

آج تمہارے لئے پاک چیزیں حلال ہوئیں، اور کتابیوں کا کھانا (ف۲۳) تمہارے لیے حلال ہوا، اور تمہارا کھانا ان کے لئے حلال ہے، اور پارسا عورتیں مسلمان (ف۲۴) اور پارسا عورتیں ان میں سے جن کو تم سے پہلے کتاب ملی جب تم انہیں ان کے مہر دو قید میں لاتے ہوئے (ف۲۵) نہ مستی نکالتے اور نہ ناآشنا بناتے (ف۲۶) اور جو مسلمان سے کافر ہو اس کا کیا دھرا سب اکارت گیا اور وہ آخرت میں زیاں کار ہے(ف۲۷)
