مُّحَمَّدٌ
رَّسُولُ
ٱللَّهِ
وَٱلَّذِينَ
مَعَهُۥٓ
أَشِدَّآءُ
عَلَى
ٱلْكُفَّارِ
رُحَمَآءُ
بَيْنَهُمْ
تَرَىٰهُمْ
رُكَّعًا
سُجَّدًا
يَبْتَغُونَ
فَضْلًا
مِّنَ
ٱللَّهِ
وَرِضْوَٰنًا
سِيمَاهُمْ
فِى
وُجُوهِهِم
مِّنْ
أَثَرِ
ٱلسُّجُودِ
ذَٰلِكَ
مَثَلُهُمْ
فِى
ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ
وَمَثَلُهُمْ
فِى
ٱلْإِنجِيلِ
كَزَرْعٍ
أَخْرَجَ
شَطْـَٔهُۥ
فَـَٔازَرَهُۥ
فَٱسْتَغْلَظَ
فَٱسْتَوَىٰ
عَلَىٰ
سُوقِهِۦ
يُعْجِبُ
ٱلزُّرَّاعَ
لِيَغِيظَ
بِهِمُ
ٱلْكُفَّارَ
وَعَدَ
ٱللَّهُ
ٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُوا۟
وَعَمِلُوا۟
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
مِنْهُم
مَّغْفِرَةً
وَأَجْرًا
عَظِيمًۢا
٩٢
48:29
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
ٱلَّذِينَ
ءَامَنُوا۟
لَا
تُقَدِّمُوا۟
بَيْنَ
يَدَىِ
ٱللَّهِ
وَرَسُولِهِۦ
وَٱتَّقُوا۟
ٱللَّهَ
إِنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
سَمِيعٌ
عَلِيمٌ

Ahmed Ali
Muhammad is the Prophet of God; and those who are with him are severe with infidels but compassionate among themselves. You may see them kneeling and bowing in reverence, seeking His favour and acceptance. Their mark is on their foreheads from the effect of prostrations. Their likeness in the Torah, and their likeness in the Gospel, is like a seed that sends out a stalk, then makes it firm, and it becomes strong and rises straight upon its stem, gladdening the cultivator´s heart, in order to fill the unbelievers with dismay. God has promised those who believe and do the right forgiveness and a great reward.

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those with him are firm of heart against the unbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down, prostrating themselves, seeking grace from Allah and pleasure; their marks are in their faces because of the effect of prostration; that is their description in the Taurat and their description in the Injeel; like as seed-produce that puts forth its sprout, then strengthens it, so it becomes stout and stands firmly on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the unbelievers on account of them; Allah has promised those among them who believe and do good, forgiveness and a great reward.

محمد اللہ کے رسول ہیں، اور ان کے ساتھ والے (ف۸۰) کافروں پر سخت ہیں (ف۸۱) اور آپس میں نرم دل (ف۸۲) تو انہیں دیکھے گا رکوع کرتے سجدے میں گرتے (ف۸۳) اللہ کا فضل و رضا چاہتے، ان کی علامت ان کے چہروں میں ہے سجدوں کے نشان سے (ف۸۴) یہ ان کی صفت توریت میں ہے، اور ان کی صفت انجیل میں (ف۸۵) جیسے ایک کھیتی اس نے اپنا پٹھا نکالا پھر اسے طاقت دی پھر دبیز ہوئی پھر اپنی ساق پر سیدھی کھڑی ہوئی کسانوں کو بھلی لگتی ہے (ف۸۶) تاکہ ان سے کافروں کے دل جلیں، اللہ نے وعدہ کیا ان سے جو ان میں ایمان اور اچھے کاموں والے ہیں (ف۸۷) بخشش اور بڑے ثواب کا،
48:29 سورة الحجرات

O YOU WHO believe, do not forestall the judgements of God and His Apostle, and have fear of God. Verily God hears all and knows everything.
Shakir
O you who believe! be not forward in the presence of Allah and His Messenger, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے ایمان والو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے آگے نہ بڑھو (ف۲) اور اللہ سے ڈرو بیشک اللہ سنتا جانتا ہے،
49:1 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَرْفَعُوٓا۟ أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَلَا تَجْهَرُوا۟ لَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَن تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ ٢
49:2
Ahmed Ali
O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not speak loudly to him as you do with one another lest your deeds are nullified unconsciously.
Shakir
O you who believe! do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and do not speak loud to him as you speak loud to one another, lest your deeds became null while you do not perceive.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے ایمان والو اپنی آوازیں اونچی نہ کرو اس غیب بتانے والے (نبی) کی آواز سے (ف۳) اور ان کے حضور بات چلا کر نہ کہو جیسے آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے سامنے چلاتے ہو کہ کہیں تمہارے عمل اَکارت نہ ہوجائیں اور تمہیں خبر نہ ہو (ف۴)
49:2 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَغُضُّونَ أَصْوَٰتَهُمْ عِندَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱمْتَحَنَ ٱللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ ٣
49:3
Ahmed Ali
They who speak in a low voice in the presence of God´s Apostle, have had their hearts tried by God for reverence. There is forgiveness for them and a great reward.
Shakir
Surely those who lower their voices before Allah´s Messenger are they whose hearts Allah has proved for guarding (against evil); they shall have forgiveness and a great reward.

بیشک وہ جو اپنی آوازیں پست کرتے ہیں رسول اللہ کے پاس (ف۵) وہ ہیں جن کا دل اللہ نے پرہیزگاری کے لیے پرکھ لیا ہے، ان کے لیے بخشش اور بڑا ثواب ہے،
49:3 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنَادُونَكَ مِن وَرَآءِ ٱلْحُجُرَٰتِ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ ٤
49:4
Ahmed Ali
Many of those who call you from outside the apartments are not considerate.
Shakir
(As for) those who call out to you from behind the private chambers, surely most of them do not understand.

بیشک وہ جو تمہیں حجروں کے باہر سے پکارتے ہیں ان میں اکثر بے عقل ہیں (ف۶)

If they had waited for you to come out it would have been better for them. But God is forgiving and kind.
Shakir
And if they wait patiently until you come out to them, it would certainly be better for them, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اگر وہ صبر کرتے یہاں تک کہ تم آپ ان کے پاس تشریف لاتے(ف۷) تو یہ ان کے لیے بہتر تھا، اور اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے (ف۸)
49:5 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِن جَآءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌۢ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟ أَن تُصِيبُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بِجَهَٰلَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَٰدِمِينَ ٦
49:6
Ahmed Ali
O you who believe, if a dissolute person brings some news, verify it first lest you attack a people ignorantly and later regret what you had done.
Shakir
O you who believe! if an evil-doer comes to you with a report, look carefully into it, lest you harm a people in ignorance, then be sorry for what you have done.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے ایمان والو اگر کوئی فاسق تمہارے پاس کوئی خبر لائے تو تحقیق کرلو (ف۹) کہ کہیں کسی قوم کو بے جانے ایذا نہ دے بیٹھو پھر اپنے کیے پر پچھتاتے رہ جاؤ،
49:6 وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِى كَثِيرٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلْإِيمَٰنَ وَزَيَّنَهُۥ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيْكُمُ ٱلْكُفْرَ وَٱلْفُسُوقَ وَٱلْعِصْيَانَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَ ٧
49:7
Ahmed Ali
Know that the Apostle of God is among you: If he agreed with you in most matters you would surely come to grief. But God has made faith more desirable to you, and attractive to your hearts, and rendered disbelief and sin and disobedience repugnant. They are those who are well directed
Shakir
And know that among you is Allah´s Messenger; should he obey you in many a matter, you would surely fall into distress, but Allah has endeared the faith to you and has made it seemly in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you unbelief and transgression and disobedience; these it is that are the followers of a right way.

اور جان لو کہ تم میں اللہ کے رسول ہیں (ف۱۰) بہت معاملوں میں اگر یہ تمہاری خوشی کریں (ف۱۱) تو تم ضرور مشقت میں پڑو لیکن اللہ نے تمہیں ایمان پیارا کردیا ہے اور اسے تمہارے دلوں میں آراستہ کردیا اور کفر اور حکم عدولی اور نافرمانی تمہیں ناگوار کر دی، ایسے ہی لوگ راہ پر ہیں (ف۱۲)
49:7 فَضْلًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَنِعْمَةً وَٱللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ ٨
49:8

By God´s benevolence and His grace. God is all-knowing and all-wise.
Shakir
By grace from Allah and as a favor; and Allah is Knowing, Wise.

اللہ کا فضل اور احسان، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،
49:8 وَإِن طَآئِفَتَانِ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا فَإِنۢ بَغَتْ إِحْدَىٰهُمَا عَلَى ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ فَقَٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلَّتِى تَبْغِى حَتَّىٰ تَفِىٓءَ إِلَىٰٓ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ فَإِن فَآءَتْ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَهُمَا بِٱلْعَدْلِ وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ ٩
49:9
Ahmed Ali
If two groups of believers come to fight one another, promote peace between them. Then if one of them turns aggressive against the other, fight against the aggressive party till it returns to God´s authority. If it does so, make peace among them equitably and be impartial. Verily God loves those who are just.
Shakir
And if two parties of the believers quarrel, make peace between them; but if one of them acts wrongfully towards the other, fight that which acts wrongfully until it returns to Allah´s command; then if it returns, make peace between them with justice and act equitably; surely Allah loves those who act equitably.

اور اگر مسلمانوں کے دو گروہ آپس میں لڑیں تو ان میں صلح کراؤ (ف۱۳) پھر اگر ایک دوسرے پر زیادتی کرے (ف۱۴) تو اس زیادتی والے سے لڑو یہاں تک کہ وہ اللہ کے حکم کی طرف پلٹ آئے، پھر اگر پلٹ آئے تو انصاف کے ساتھ ان میں اصلاح کردو اور عدل کرو، بیشک عدل والے اللہ کو پیارے ہیں،
49:9 إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ ٠١
49:10
Ahmed Ali
The faithful are surely brothers; so restore friendship among your brothers, and fear God that you may be favoured.
Shakir
The believers are but brethren, therefore make peace between your brethren and be careful of (your duty to) Allah that mercy may be had on you.

مسلمان مسلمان بھائی ہیں (ف۱۵) تو اپنے دو بھائیوں میں صلح کرو (ف۱۶) اور اللہ سے ڈرو کہ تم پر رحمت ہو (ف۱۷)
49:10 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا يَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِّن قَوْمٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونُوا۟ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا نِسَآءٌ مِّن نِّسَآءٍ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُنَّ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُنَّ وَلَا تَلْمِزُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَلَا تَنَابَزُوا۟ بِٱلْأَلْقَٰبِ بِئْسَ ٱلِٱسْمُ ٱلْفُسُوقُ بَعْدَ ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ وَمَن لَّمْ يَتُبْ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ١١
49:11
Ahmed Ali
O you who believe, men should not laugh at other men, for it may be they are better than them; and women should not laugh at other women, for they may perhaps be better than them. Do not slander one another, nor give one another nick-names. After believing, it is bad to give (another) a bad name. Those who do not repent behave wickedly.
Shakir
O you who believe! let not (one) people laugh at (another) people perchance they may be better than they, nor let women (laugh) at (other) women, perchance they may be better than they; and do not find fault with your own people nor call one another by nicknames; evil is a bad name after faith, and whoever does not turn, these it is that are the unjust.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے ایمان والو نہ مَرد مَردوں سے ہنسیں (ف۱۸) عجب نہیں کہ وہ ان ہنسنے والوں سے بہتر ہوں (ف۱۹) اور نہ عورتیں عورتوں سے، دور نہیں کہ وہ ان ہنسے والیوں سے بہتر ہوں(ف۲۰) اور آپس میں طعنہ نہ کرو (ف۲۱) اور ایک دوسرے کے برے نام نہ رکھو (ف۲۲) کیا ہی برا نام ہے مسلمان ہوکر فاسق کہلانا (ف۲۳) اور جو توبہ نہ کریں تو وہی ظالم ہیں،
