Ahmed Ali
Whoever comes with good (deeds) will receive better than (what he had done), and be safe that day from terror.
Shakir
Whoever brings good, he shall have better than it; and they shall be secure from terror on the day.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو نیکی لائے (ف۱۵۳) اس کے لیے اس سے بہتر صلہ ہے (ف۱۵۴) اور ان کو اس دن کی گھبراہٹ سے امان ہے (ف۱۵۵)
27:89 وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِى ٱلنَّارِ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٠٩
27:90
Ahmed Ali
But whosoever comes with evil will be flung face forward into the Fire. Can you expect reward for any thing but what you do?
Shakir
And whoever brings evil, these shall be thrown down on their faces into the fire; shall you be rewarded (for) aught except what you did?

اور جو بدی لائے (ف۱۵۶) تو ان کے منہ اوندھائے گئے آ گ میں (ف۱۵۷) تمہیں کیا بدلہ ملے گا مگر اسی کا جو کرتے تھے (ف۱۵۸)
27:90 إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ رَبَّ هَٰذِهِ ٱلْبَلْدَةِ ٱلَّذِى حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ ١٩
27:91
Ahmed Ali
(Say): "I am commanded to worship the Lord of this land He has blessed, to whom all things belong; and I am commanded to be one of those who submit,
Shakir
I am commanded only that I should serve the Lord of this city, Who has made it sacred, and His are all things; and I am commanded that I should be of these who submit;
Ahmed Raza Khan
مجھے تو یہی حکم ہوا ہے کہ پوجوں اس شہر کے رب کو (ف۱۵۹) جس نے اسے حرمت والا کیا ہے (ف۱۶۰) اور سب کچھ اسی کا ہے، اور مجھے حکم ہوا ہے کہ فرمانبرداروں میں ہوں،
27:91 وَأَنْ أَتْلُوَا۟ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِى لِنَفْسِهِۦ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ ٢٩
27:92
Ahmed Ali
And to recite the Qur´an." Whoever comes to guidance does so for himself; as for him who stays astray, tell him: "I am only a warner."
Shakir
And that I should recite the Quran. Therefore whoever goes aright, he goes aright for his own soul, and whoever goes ´ astray, then say: I am only one of the warners.

اور یہ کہ قرآن کی تلاوت کروں (ف۱۶۱) تو جس نے راہ پائی اس نے اپنے بھلے کو راہ پائی (ف۱۶۲) اور جو بہکے (ف۱۶۳) تو فرمادو کہ میں تو یہی ڈر سنانے والا ہوں (ف۱۶۴)
27:92 وَقُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ ٣٩
27:93
Ahmed Ali
Say: "All praise be to God. He will show you His signs, and you will recognise them. Your Lord is not heedless of what you do."
Shakir
And say: Praise be to Allah, He will show you His signs so that you shall recognize them; nor is your Lord heedless of what you do.

اور فرماؤ کہ سب خوبیاں اللہ کے لیے عنقریب وہ تمہیں اپنی نشانیاں دکھائے گا تو انہیں پہچان لو گے (ف۱۶۵) اور اے محبوب! تمہارا رب غافل نہیں، اے لوگو! تمہارے اعمال سے،

28:1 تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ٢

These are the verses of the illuminating Book.
Shakir
These are the verses of the Book that makes (things) clear.

یہ آیتیں ہیں روشن کتاب (ف۲)
28:2 نَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكَ مِن نَّبَإِ مُوسَىٰ وَفِرْعَوْنَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ ٣
28:3
Ahmed Ali
We narrate to you from the history of Moses and Pharaoh in all verity, for those who believe.
Shakir
We recite to you from the account of Musa and Firon with truth for people who believe.

ہم تم پر پڑھیں موسیٰ اور فرعون کی سچی خبر ان لوگوں کے لیے جو ایمان رکھتے ہیں،
28:3 إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعًا يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَآئِفَةً مِّنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْىِۦ نِسَآءَهُمْ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ ٤
28:4
Ahmed Ali
The Pharaoh had become high and mighty in the land, and divided the people into different classes, and impoverished one class, slaying its males and sparing its women, for he was indeed a tyrant.
Shakir
Surely Firon exalted himself in the land and made its people into parties, weakening one party from among them; he slaughtered their sons and let their women live; surely he was one of the mischiefmakers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک فرعون نے زمین میں غلبہ پایا تھا (ف۳) اور اس کے لوگوں کو اپنا تابع بنایا ان میں ایک گروہ کو (ف۴) کمزور دیکھتا ان کے بیٹوں کو ذبح کرتا اور ان کی عورتوں کو زندہ رکھتا (ف۵) بیشک وہ فسادی تھا،
28:4 وَنُرِيدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ ٥
28:5
Ahmed Ali
We wished to favour those who were weak in the land and make them leaders and heirs,
Shakir
And We desired to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed weak in the land, and to make them the Imams, and to make them the heirs,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم چاہتے تھے کہ ان کمزوریوں پر احسان فرمائیں اور ان کو پیشوا بنائیں (ف۶) اور ان کے ملک و مال کا انہیں کو وارث بنائیں (ف۷)

Ahmed Ali
And establish them in the country; and to make the Pharaoh, Haman and their hordes beware of what they feared from them.
Shakir
And to grant them power in the land, and to make Firon and Haman and their hosts see from them what they feared.

اور انہیں (ف۸) زمین میں قبضہ دیں اور فرعون اور ہامان اور ان کے لشکروں کو وہی دکھادیں جس کا انہیں ان کی طرف سے خطرہ ہے (ف۹)
28:6 وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَرْضِعِيهِ فَإِذَا خِفْتِ عَلَيْهِ فَأَلْقِيهِ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَلَا تَخَافِى وَلَا تَحْزَنِىٓ إِنَّا رَآدُّوهُ إِلَيْكِ وَجَاعِلُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ٧
28:7
Ahmed Ali
So We conveyed to the mother of Moses: "Suckle him. If you are afraid for him, cast him in the river without any fear or regret, for We shall restore him to you, and make him an apostle."
Shakir
And We revealed to Musa´s mothers, saying: Give him suck, then when you fear for him, cast him into the river and do not fear nor grieve; surely We wi!l bring him back to you and make him one of the messengers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم نے موسیٰ کی ماں کو الہام فرمایا (ف۱۰) کہ اسے دودھ پلا (ف۱۱) پھر جب تجھے اس سے اندیشہ ہو (ف۱۲) تو اسے دریا میں ڈال دے اور نہ ڈر (ف۱۳) اور نہ غم کر (ف۱۴) بیشک ہم اسے تیری طرف پھیر لائیں اور اسے رسول بنائیں گے (ف۱۵)
28:7 فَٱلْتَقَطَهُۥٓ ءَالُ فِرْعَوْنَ لِيَكُونَ لَهُمْ عَدُوًّا وَحَزَنًا إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَ وَجُنُودَهُمَا كَانُوا۟ خَٰطِـِٔينَ ٨
28:8
Ahmed Ali
Then he was picked up by the family of Pharaoh (unaware) that he would become their enemy and a cause for regret. Surely the Pharaoh, Haman and their hordes were habitual sinners.
Shakir
And Firon´s family took him up that he might be an enemy and a grief for them; surely Firon and Haman and their hosts were wrongdoers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اسے اٹھالیا فرعون کے گھر والوں نے (ف۱۶) کہ وہ ان کا دشمن اور ان پر غم ہو (ف۱۷) بیشک فرعون اور ہامان (ف۱۸) اور ان کے لشکر خطا کار تھے (ف۱۹)
28:8 وَقَالَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُ فِرْعَوْنَ قُرَّتُ عَيْنٍ لِّى وَلَكَ لَا تَقْتُلُوهُ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَنفَعَنَآ أَوْ نَتَّخِذَهُۥ وَلَدًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ٩
28:9
Ahmed Ali
The Pharaoh´s wife said: "He will be a comfort to me and to you. Do not kill him. He may well be of some advantage to us, or we may adopt him as a son." They were not aware (of what the future held in store).
Shakir
And Firon´s wife said: A refreshment of the eye to me and to you; do not slay him; maybe he will be useful to us, or we may take him for a son; and they did not perceive.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور فرعون کی بی بی نے کہا (ف۲۰) یہ بچہ میری اور تیری آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک ہے، اسے قتل نہ کرو، شاید یہ ہمیں نفع دے یا ہم اسے بیٹا بنالیں (ف۲۱) اور وہ بے خبر تھے (ف۲۲)
28:9 وَأَصْبَحَ فُؤَادُ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰ فَٰرِغًا إِن كَادَتْ لَتُبْدِى بِهِۦ لَوْلَآ أَن رَّبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قَلْبِهَا لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٠١
28:10
Ahmed Ali
The mother of Moses was perturbed in the morning. Had We not strengthened her heart to remain a believer she had almost given him away.
Shakir
And the heart of Musa´s mother was free (from anxiety) she would have almost disclosed it had We not strengthened her heart so that she might be of the believers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور صبح کو موسیٰ کی ماں کا دل بے صبر ہوگیا (ف۲۳) ضرو ر قریب تھا کہ وہ اس کا حال کھول دیتی (ف۲۴) اگر ہم نہ ڈھارس بندھاتے اس کے دل پر کہ اسے ہمارے وعدہ پر یقین رہے (ف۲۵)
28:10 وَقَالَتْ لِأُخْتِهِۦ قُصِّيهِ فَبَصُرَتْ بِهِۦ عَن جُنُبٍ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ١١
28:11
Ahmed Ali
She told his sister: "Follow him." So she kept an eye on him from a distance, unbeknown to them.
Shakir
And she said to his sister: Follow him up. So she watched him from a distance while they did not perceive,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس کی ماں نے اس کی بہن سے کہا (ف۲۶) اس کے پیچھے چلی جا تو وہ اسے دور سے دیکھتی رہی اور ان کو خبر نہ تھی (ف۲۷)
28:11 ۞ وَحَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ ٱلْمَرَاضِعَ مِن قَبْلُ فَقَالَتْ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰٓ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ يَكْفُلُونَهُۥ لَكُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُۥ نَٰصِحُونَ ٢١
28:12
Ahmed Ali
We made (Moses) refuse a wet nurse. So his sister said: "Should I tell you of a household that could bring him up for you and take care of him?"
Shakir
And We ordained that he refused to suck any foster mother before, so she said: Shall I point out to you the people of a house who will take care of him for you, and they will be benevolent to him?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم نے پہلے ہی سب دائیاں اس پر حرام کردی تھیں (ف۲۸) تو بولی کیا میں تمہیں بتادوں ایسے گھر والے کہ تمہارے اس بچہ کو پال دیں اور وہ اس کے خیر خواہ ہیں (ف۲۹)
28:12 فَرَدَدْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّهِۦ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَلِتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٣١
28:13
Ahmed Ali
Thus We restored him to his mother that she may be tranquil and not grieve, and know that the promise of God is true, though most men do not know.
Shakir
So We gave him back to his mother that her eye might be refreshed, and that she might no grieve, and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true, but most of them do not know.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو ہم نے اسے اس کی ماں کی طرف پھیرا کہ ماں کی آنکھ ٹھنڈی ہو اور غم نہ کھائے اور جان لے کہ اللہ کا وعدہ سچا ہے، لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے (ف۳۰)
