27:1

یہ آیتیں ہیں قرآن اور روشن کتاب کی (ف۲)
27:1 هُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٢
27:2
Ahmed Ali
A guidance and good tidings for the believers,
Shakir
A guidance and good news for the believers,
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہدایت اور خوشخبری ایمان والوں کو،
27:2 ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ ٣
27:3
Ahmed Ali
Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come.
Shakir
Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ جو نماز برپا رکھتے ہیں (ف۳) اور زکوٰة دیتے ہیں (ف۴) اور وہ آخرت پر یقین رکھتے ہیں،
27:3 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ٤
27:4
Ahmed Ali
We make their deeds attractive to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, so that they may wander in perplexity.
Shakir
As to those who do not believe in the hereafter, We have surely made their deeds fair-seeming to them, but they blindly wander on.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ جو آخرت پر ایمان نہیں لاتے ہم نے ان کے کوتک (برے اعمال) ان کی نگاہ میں بھلے کر دکھائے ہیں (ف۵)
27:4 أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ ٥
27:5
Ahmed Ali
They are those who will suffer the worst chastisement in this life, and will be the greatest losers in the life to come.
Shakir
These are they who shall have an evil punishment, and in the hereafter they shall be the greatest losers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو وہ بھٹک رہے ہیں یہ وہ ہیں جن کے لیے برا عذاب ہے (ف۶) اور یہی آخرت میں سب سے بڑھ کر نقصان میں (ف۷)
27:5 وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ ٦
27:6
Ahmed Ali
You have been conveyed the Qur´an from One all-wise and all-knowing.
Shakir
And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah.

اور بیشک تم قرآن سکھائے جاتے اور حکمت والے علم والے کی طرف سے (ف۸)
27:6 إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهْلِهِۦٓ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا سَـَٔاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ ءَاتِيكُم بِشِهَابٍ قَبَسٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ ٧
27:7
Ahmed Ali
(Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves."
Shakir
When Musa said to his family: Surely I see fire; I will bring to you from it some news, or I will bring to you therefrom a burning firebrand so that you may warm yourselves.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب کہ موسیٰ نے اپنی گھر والی سے کہا (ف۹) مجھے ایک آگ نظر پڑی ہے عنقریب میں تمہارے پاس اس کی کوئی خبر لاتا ہوں یا اس میں سے کوئی چمکتی چنگاری لاؤں گا کہ تم تاپو (ف۱۰)
27:7 فَلَمَّا جَآءَهَا نُودِىَ أَنۢ بُورِكَ مَن فِى ٱلنَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٨
27:8
Ahmed Ali
But when he reached it, a voice called out: "Blessed is He who is in the fire and all around it. Praised be God, the Lord of all the worlds.
Shakir
So when he came to it a voice was uttered saying: Blessed is Whoever is in the fire and whatever is about it; and glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds;
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر جب آگ کے پاس آیا ندا کی گئی کہ برکت دیا گیا وہ جو اس آگ کی جلوہ گاہ میں ہے یعنی موسیٰ اور جو اس کے آس پاس میں یعنی فرشتے (ف۱۱) اور پاکی ہے اللہ کو جو رب ہے سارے جہان کا،
27:8 يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٩
27:9
Ahmed Ali
O Moses, I am that God, the mighty and all-wise.
Shakir
O Musa! surely I am Allah, the Mighty, the Wise;
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے موسیٰ بات یہ ہے کہ میں ہی ہوں اللہ عزت والا حکمت والا،
27:9 وَأَلْقِ عَصَاكَ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَآنٌّ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفْ إِنِّى لَا يَخَافُ لَدَىَّ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ٠١
27:10
Ahmed Ali
Throw down your staff." When he saw it wriggling like a serpent he turned his back and fled without turning (to look). "O Moses," (said the voice), "be not fearful. Surely those sent as messengers do not fear in My presence,
Shakir
And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the messengers shall not fear in My presence;
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اپنا عصا ڈال دے (ف۱۲) پھر موسیٰ نے اسے دیکھا لہراتا ہوا گویا سانپ ہے پیٹھ پھیر کر چلا اور مڑ کر نہ دیکھا، ہم نے فرمایا اے موسیٰ ڈر نہیں، بیشک میرے حضور رسولوں کو خوف نہیں ہوتا (ف۱۳)
27:10 إِلَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًۢا بَعْدَ سُوٓءٍ فَإِنِّى غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ١١
27:11
Ahmed Ali
Except those who do some wrong but afterwards do good to make up for the wrong. And I am forgiving and merciful.
Shakir
Neither he who has been unjust, then he does good instead after evil, for surely I am the Forgiving, the Merciful:
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہاں جو کوئی ز یادتی کرے (ف۱۴) پھر برائی کے بعد بھلائی سے بدلے تو بیشک میں بخشنے والا مہربان ہوں (ف۱۵)
27:11 وَأَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِى جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍ فِى تِسْعِ ءَايَٰتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ ٢١
27:12
Ahmed Ali
Put your hand in the bosom of your shirt; it will come out white without any blemish. This will be one of nine tokens for the Pharaoh and his people, who are a wicked lot indeed."
Shakir
And enter your hand into the opening of your bosom, it shall come forth white without evil; among nine signs to Firon and his people, surely they are a transgressing people.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اپنا ہاتھ اپنے گریبان میں ڈال نکلے گا سفید چمکتا بے عیب (ف۱۶) نو نشانیوں میں (ف۱۷) فرعون اور اس کی قوم کی طرف، بیشک وہ بے حکم لوگ ہیں،
27:12 فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا مُبْصِرَةً قَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ ٣١
27:13
Ahmed Ali
And when Our signs came as distinct proofs, they said: "This is only magic."
Shakir
So when Our clear signs came to them, they said: This is clear enchantment.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر جب ہماری نشانیاں آنکھیں کھولتی ان کے پاس آئیں (ف۱۸) بولے یہ تو صریح جادو ہے،
27:13

بِهَا
وَٱسْتَيْقَنَتْهَآ
أَنفُسُهُمْ
ظُلْمًا
وَعُلُوًّا
فَٱنظُرْ
كَيْفَ
كَانَ

ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

Ahmed Ali
And they denied them out of malice and pride, though in their hearts they believed that they were true. So see how was the end of evil-doers!
Shakir
And they denied them unjustly and proudly while their soul had been convinced of them; consider, then how was the end of the mischief-makers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ان کے منکر ہوئے اور ان کے دلوں میں ان کا یقین تھا (ف۱۹) ظلم اور تکبر سے تو دیکھو کیسا انجام ہوا فسادیوں کا (ف۲۰)
27:14 وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ عِلْمًا وَقَالَا ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٥١
27:15
Ahmed Ali
We gave David and Solomon knowledge; and they said: "All praise be to God who has favoured us over many of His creatures who believe."
Shakir
And certainly We gave knowledge to Dawood and Sulaiman, and they both said: Praise be to Allah, Who has made us to excel many of His believing servants.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے داؤد اور سلیمان کو بڑا علم عطا فرمایا (ف۲۱) اور دونوں نے کہا سب خوبیاں اللہ کو جس نے ہمیں اپنے بہت سے ایمان والے بندوں پر فضیلت بخشی (ف۲۲)
27:15 وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ٦١
27:16
Ahmed Ali
Solomon was heir to David, and he said: "O people, we have been taught the language of Tair, and have been given of everything. This is a clear favour indeed."
Shakir
And Sulaiman was Dawood´s heir, and he said: O men! we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given all things; most surely this is manifest grace.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور سلیمان داؤد کا جانشین ہوا (ف۲۳) اور کہا اے لوگو! ہمیں پرندوں کی بولی سکھائی گئی اور ہر چیز میں سے ہم کو عطا ہوا (ف۲۴) بیشک یہی ظاہر فضل ہے (ف۲۵)
27:16 وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمَٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ وَٱلطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ ٧١
27:17
Ahmed Ali
His armies of jinns and men and Tair assembled, formed into ranks, (and marched)
Shakir
And his hosts of the jinn and the men and the birds were gathered to him, and they were formed into groups.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جمع کیے گئے سلیمان کے لیے اس کے لشکر جنوں اور آدمیوں اور پرندوں سے تو وہ روکے جاتے تھے (ف۲۶)
27:17 حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّمْلُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ مَسَٰكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ٨١
27:18
Ahmed Ali
Till they reached the Valley of Naml. Said the lady of Naml: "O Naml, go into your dwellings lest Solomon and his hordes should crush you unawares."
Shakir
Until when they came to the valley of the Naml, a Namlite said: O Naml! enter your houses, (that) Sulaiman and his hosts may not crush you while they do not know.
Ahmed Raza Khan
یہاں تک کہ جب چیونٹیوں کے نالے پر آئے (ف۲۷) ایک چیونٹی بولی (ف۲۸) اے چیونٹیو! اپنے گھروں میں چلی جاؤ تمہیں کچل نہ ڈالیں سلیمان اور ان کے لشکر بے خبری میں (ف۲۹)
27:18 فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِّن قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِى عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ٩١
27:19
Ahmed Ali
(Solomon) smiled, amused at her speech, and said: "O Lord grant me that I should be grateful for the favours You have bestowed on me and my parents, and do good things of Your pleasing; and admit me among Your righteous devotees by Your grace."
Shakir
So he smiled, wondering at her word, and said: My Lord! grant me that I should be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I should do good such as Thou art pleased with, and make me enter, by Thy mercy, into Thy servants, the good ones.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اس کی بات مسکرا کر ہنسا (ف۳۰) اور عرض کی اے میرے رب! مجھے توفیق دے کہ میں شکر کروں تیرے احسان کا جو تو نے (ف۳۱) مجھ پر اور میرے ماں باپ پر کیے اور یہ کہ میں وہ بھلا کام کرو ں جو تجھے پسند آئے اور مجھے اپنی رحمت سے اپنے ان بندوں میں شامل کر جو تیرے قرب خاص کے سزاوار ہیں (ف۳۲)
27:19 وَتَفَقَّدَ ٱلطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِىَ لَآ أَرَى ٱلْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْغَآئِبِينَ ٠٢
27:20
Ahmed Ali
When he reviewed the Tair, he said: "How is it I do not see Hud-hud? Is he absent?
Shakir
And he reviewed the birds, then said: How is it I see not the hoopoe or is it that he is of the absentees?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور پرندوں کا جائزہ لیا تو بولا مجھے کیا ہوا کہ میں ہد ہد کو نہیں دیکھتا یا وہ واقعی حاضر نہیں،
27:20 لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا أَوْ لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ أَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّى بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ ١٢
27:21
Ahmed Ali
I will punish him severely, or cut his throat, unless he bring a valid excuse."
Shakir
I will most certainly punish him with a severe punishment, or kill him, or he shall bring to me a clear plea.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ضرور میں اسے سخت عذاب کرو ں گا (ف۳۳) یا ذبح کردوں گا یا کوئی روشن سند میرے پاس لائے (ف۳۴)
27:21 فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِۦ وَجِئْتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍۭ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ ٢٢
27:22
Ahmed Ali
But he was not long in coming, and reported: "I have been around where you have not been. I come from Saba with positive news.
Shakir
And he tarried not long, then said: I comprehend that which you do not comprehend and I have brought to you a sure information from Sheba.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو ہد ہد کچھ زیادہ دیر نہ ٹھہرا اور آکر (ف۳۵) عرض کی کہ میں وہ بات دیکھ کر آیا ہوں جو حضور نے نہ دیکھی اور میں شہر سبا سے حضور کے پاس ایک یقینی خبر لایا ہوں،
