There is no harm in your eating together or separately. But when you enter the houses, salute the inmates with a greeting in the name of God, invoking blessings and good health. That is how God explains things to you clearly so that you may understand. They alone are true believers who believe in God and His Apostle, and when they are with him on a matter of common concern, do not depart without obtaining his leave. Surely those who ask leave of you are the ones who believe in God and His Apostle. Therefore when they ask leave of you for personal business give leave to those you please, and seek God´s forgiveness for them. Surely God is forgiving and kind.

Only those are believers who believe in Allah and His Messenger, and when they are with him on a momentous affair they go not away until they have asked his permission; surely they who ask your permission are they who believe in Allah and His Messenger; so when they ask your permission for some affair of theirs, give permission to whom you please of them and ask forgiveness for them from Allah; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

ایمان والے تو وہی ہیں جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر یقین لائے اور جب رسول کے پاس کسی ایسے کام میں حاضر ہوئے ہوں جس کے لیے جمع کیے گئے ہوں (ف۱۵۱) تو نہ جائیں جب تک ان سے اجازت نہ لے لیں وہ جو تم سے اجازت مانگتے ہیں وہی ہیں جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لاتے ہیں (ف۱۵۲) پھر جب وہ تم سے اجازت مانگیں اپنے کسی کام کے لیے تو ان میں جسے تم چاہو اجازت دے دو اور ان کے لیے اللہ سے معافی مانگو (ف۱۵۳) بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
Do not consider your being summoned by the Apostle to be like your summoning one another. God knows those of you who go away surreptitiously. So let those who act in contravention of his command take heed lest a trial should befall them or a grievous punishment come upon them.

Do not hold the Messenger´s calling (you) among you to be like your calling one to the other; Allah indeed knows those who steal away from among you, concealing themselves; therefore let those beware who go against his order lest a trial afflict them or there befall them a painful chastisement.

رسول کے پکارنے کو آپس میں ایسا نہ ٹھہرالو جیسا تم میں ایک دوسرے کو پکارتا ہے (ف۱۵۴) بیشک اللہ جانتا ہے جو تم میں چپکے نکل جاتے ہیں کسی چیز کی آڑ لے کر (ف۱۵۵) تو ڈریں وہ جو رسول کے حکم کے خلاف کرتے ہیں کہ انہیں کوئی فتنہ پہنچے (ف۱۵۶) یا ان پر دردناک عذاب پڑے (ف۱۵۷)
Does not everything in the heavens and the earth belong to God? He surely knows what state you are in; and on the day they go back to Him. He will tell them what they used to do, for God has knowledge of everything.

Now surely Allah´s is whatever is in the heavens and the earth; He knows indeed that to which you are conforming yourselves; and on the day on which they are returned to Him He will inform them of what they did; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.

سن لو ! بیشک اللہ ہی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے، بیشک وہ جانتا ہے جس حال پر تم ہو (ف۱۵۸) اور اس دن کو جس میں اس کی طرف پھیرے جائیں گے (ف۱۵۹) تو وہ انہیں بتادے گا جو کچھ انہوں نے کیا، اور اللہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے، (ف۱۶۰)
He to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, who has neither begotten a son nor has He a partner in His kingdom, (who) created everything and determined its exact measure.

He, Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Who did not take to Himself a son, and Who has no associate in the kingdom, and Who created everything, then ordained for it a measure.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ جس کے لیے ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہت اور اس نے نہ اختیار فرمایا بچہ (ف۴) اور اس کی سلطنت میں کوئی ساجھی نہیں (ف۵) اس نے ہر چیز پیدا کرکے ٹھیک اندازہ پر رکھی،
Yet they choose apart from Him gods who have not created any thing and have themselves been created, who possess no power over their loss or gain, or their death or life or being raised to life again.

And they have taken besides Him gods, who do not create anything while they are themselves created, and they control not for themselves any harm or profit, and they control not death nor life, nor raising (the dead) to life.

اور لوگوں نے اس کے سوا اور خدا ٹھہرالیے (ف۶) کہ وہ کچھ نہیں بناتے اور خود پیدا کیے گئے ہیں اور خود اپنی جانوں کے برے بھلے کے مالک نہیں اور نہ مرنے کا اختیار نہ جینے کا نہ اٹھنے کا،
Yet the unbelievers say: "This is nothing but a lie he has concocted in which others have aided him." They have come down to mischief and lies.

And those who disbelieve say: This is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and other people have helped him at it; so indeed they have done injustice and (uttered) a falsehood.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کافر بولے (ف۷) یہ تو نہیں مگر ایک بہتان جو انہوں نے بنالیا ہے (ف۸) اور اس پر اور لوگوں نے (ف۹) انہیں مدد دی ہے بیشک وہ (ف۱۰) ظلم اور جھوٹ پر آئے،
But they say: "What sort of prophet is this who eats food and walks the market places? Why was no angel sent to him to act as admonisher with him?

And they say: What is the matter with this Messenger that he eats food and goes about in the markets; why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a warner with him?

اور بولے (ف۱۵) اور رسول کو کیا ہوا کھانا کھاتا ہے اور بازاروں میں چلتا ہے (ف۹۱۶ کیوں نہ اتارا گیا ان کے ساتھ کوئی فرشتہ کہ ان کے ساتھ ڈر سناتا (ف۱۷)
Or a treasure should have been given to him, or he should have had an orchard from which he could eat." And these wicked people say: "You only follow a man ensorcelled."
Shakir
Or (why is not) a treasure sent down to him, or he is made to have a garden from which he should eat? And the unjust say: You do not follow any but a man deprived of reason.

یا غیب سے انہیں کوئی خزانہ مل جاتا یا ان کا کوئی باغ ہوتا جس میں سے کھاتے (ف۱۸) اور ظالم بولے (ف۱۹) تم تو پیروی نہیں کرتے مگر ایک ایسے مرد کی جس پر جادو ہوا (ف۲۰)
