سورة المؤمنون
23:1
Ahmed Ali
THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful,
Shakir
Successful indeed are the believers,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک مراد کو پہنچے ایمان والے
23:1 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى صَلَاتِهِمْ خَٰشِعُونَ ٢
23:2
Ahmed Ali
Who are humble in their service,
Shakir
Who are humble in their prayers,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو اپنی نماز میں گڑگڑاتے ہیں (ف۲)
23:2 وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ ٱللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ ٣
23:3
Ahmed Ali
Who shun all frivolities,
Shakir
And who keep aloof from what is vain,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہ جو کسی بیہودہ بات کی طرف التفات نہیں کرتے (ف۳)
23:3 وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَوٰةِ فَٰعِلُونَ ٤
23:4
Ahmed Ali
Who strive for betterment;
Shakir
And who are givers of poor-rate,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہ کہ زکوٰة دینے کا کام کرتے ہیں (ف۴)
23:4 وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَٰفِظُونَ ٥
23:5
Ahmed Ali
Who guard their sex
Shakir
And who guard their private parts,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہ جو اپنی شرمگاہوں کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں،
23:5 إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ ٦
23:6
Ahmed Ali
Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame,
Shakir
Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable,
Ahmed Raza Khan
مگر اپنی بیبیوں یا شرعی باندیوں پر جو ان کے ہاتھ کی مِلک ہیں کہ ان پر کوئی ملامت نہیں (ف۵)
23:6 فَمَنِ ٱبْتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْعَادُونَ ٧
23:7
Ahmed Ali
But those who covet more than this will be transgressors;
Shakir
But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits;
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو جو ان دو کے سوا کچھ اور چاہے وہی حد سے بڑھنے والے ہیں(ف۶)
23:7 وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَٰعُونَ ٨
23:8
Ahmed Ali
And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises;
Shakir
And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہ جو اپنی امانتوں اور اپنے عہد کی رعایت کرتے ہیں (ف۷)
23:8 وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَٰتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ ٩
23:9
Ahmed Ali
And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer.
Shakir
And those who keep a guard on their prayers;
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہ جو اپنی نمازوں کی نگہبانی کرتے ہیں (ف۸)
23:9 أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ ٠١
23:10
Ahmed Ali
These are the real gainers,
Shakir
These are they who are the heirs,
Ahmed Raza Khan
یہی لوگ وارث ہیں،
23:10 ٱلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ ١١
23:11
Ahmed Ali
Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever.
Shakir
Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کہ فردوس کی میراث پائیں گے، وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے،
23:11 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن سُلَٰلَةٍ مِّن طِينٍ ٢١
23:12
Ahmed Ali
We created man from the finest extract of clay,
Shakir
And certainly We created man of an extract of clay,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے آدمی کو چنی ہوئی (انتخاب کی) مٹی سے بنایا، (ف۹)
23:12 ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰهُ نُطْفَةً فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ ٣١
23:13
Ahmed Ali
Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging;
Shakir
Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place,
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر اسے (ف۱۰) پانی کی بوند کیا ایک مضبوط ٹھہراؤ میں (ف۱۱)
23:13 ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا ٱلنُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْمُضْغَةَ عِظَٰمًا فَكَسَوْنَا ٱلْعِظَٰمَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَٰهُ خَلْقًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ ٤١
23:14
Ahmed Ali
Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators.
Shakir
Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر ہم نے اس پانی کی بوند کو خون کی پھٹک کیا پھر خون کی پھٹک کو گوشت کی بوٹی پھر گوشت کی بوٹی کو ہڈیاں پھر ان ہڈیوں پر گوشت پہنایا، پھر اسے اور صورت میں اٹھان دی (ف۱۲) تو بڑی برکت والا ہے اللہ سب سے بہتر بتانے والا،
23:14 ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ ٥١
23:15
Ahmed Ali
And then you will certainly die,
Shakir
Then after that you will most surely die.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر اس کے بعد تم ضرور (ف۱۳) مرنے والے ہو،
23:15 ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ ٦١
23:16
Ahmed Ali
Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection.
Shakir
Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر تم سب قیامت کے دن (ف۱۴) اٹھائے جاؤ گے،
23:16 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَآئِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ ٱلْخَلْقِ غَٰفِلِينَ ٧١
23:17
Ahmed Ali
We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation.
Shakir
And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے تمہارے اوپر سات راہیں بنائیں (ف۱۵) اور ہم خلق سے بے خبر نہیں (ف۱۶)
23:17

وَأَنزَلْنَا

مَآءًۢ
بِقَدَرٍ
فَأَسْكَنَّٰهُ
فِى
ٱلْأَرْضِ
وَإِنَّا

ذَهَابٍۭ
بِهِۦ
لَقَٰدِرُونَ

Ahmed Ali
We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away.
Shakir
And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا (ف۱۷) ایک اندازہ پر (ف۱۸) پھر اسے زمین میں ٹھہرایا اور بیشک ہم اس کے لے جانے پر قادر ہیں (ف۱۹)
23:18 فَأَنشَأْنَا لَكُم بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَٰبٍ لَّكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَٰكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ٩١
23:19
Ahmed Ali
We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat.
Shakir
Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat;
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اس سے ہم نے تمہارے باغ پیدا کیے کھجوروں اور انگوروں کے تمہارے لیے ان میں بہت سے میوے ہیں (ف۲۰) اور ان میں سے کھاتے ہو (ف۲۱)
23:19 وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَآءَ تَنۢبُتُ بِٱلدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِّلْءَاكِلِينَ ٠٢
23:20
Ahmed Ali
The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat.
Shakir
And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہ پیڑ پیدا کیا کہ طور سینا سے نکلتا ہے (ف۲۲) لے کر اگتا ہے تیل اور کھانے والوں کے لیے سالن (ف۲۳)
23:20 وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ لَعِبْرَةً نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِى بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ١٢
23:21
Ahmed Ali
There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat;
Shakir
And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک تمہارے لیے چوپایوں میں سمجھنے کا مقام ہے، ہم تمہیں پلاتے ہیں اس میں سے جو ان کے پیٹ میں ہے (ف۲۴) اور تمہارے لیے ان میں بہت فائدے ہیں (ف۲۵) اور ان سے تمہاری خوراک ہے (ف۲۶)
23:21 وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ ٢٢
23:22
Ahmed Ali
And you are carried on them and on boats.
Shakir
And on them and on the ships you are borne.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ان پر (ف۲۷) اور کشتی پر (ف۲۸) سوار کیے جاتے ہو،
23:22 وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ فَقَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ٣٢
23:23
Ahmed Ali
We sent Noah to his people. He said: "O my people, worship God, for you have no other god but He. Will you not take heed for yourselves?"
Shakir
And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, and he said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; will you not then guard (against evil)?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے نوح کو اس کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا تو اس نے کہا اے میری قوم اللہ کو پوجو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی خدا نہیں، تو کیا تمہیں ڈر نہیں (ف۲۹)
23:23 فَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ مَا هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلَٰٓئِكَةً مَّا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِىٓ ءَابَآئِنَا ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٤٢
23:24
Ahmed Ali
The chiefs of his people, who did not believe, said: "He is only a man like you. He wishes to acquire ascendancy over you. If God had willed He would have sent down angels. We never heard this from our elders.
Shakir
And the chiefs of those who disbelieved from among his people said: He is nothing but a mortal like yourselves who desires that he may have superiority over you, and if Allah had pleased, He could certainly have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our fathers of yore:
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اس کی قوم کے جن سرداروں نے کفر کیا بولے (ف۳۰) یہ تو نہیں مگر تم جیسا آدمی چاہتا ہے کہ تمہارا بڑا بنے (ف۳۱) اور اللہ چاہتا (ف۳۲) تو فرشتے اتارتا ہم نے تو یہ اگلے باپ داداؤں میں نہ سنا (ف۳۳)
23:24 إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌۢ بِهِۦ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ٥٢
23:25
Ahmed Ali
He is only a man possessed; so wait and watch him for a time."
Shakir
He is only a madman, so bear with him for a time.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ تو نہیں مگر ایک دیوانہ مرد تو کچھ زمانہ تک اس کا انتظار کیے رہو (ف۳۴)
23:25 قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرْنِى بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ ٦٢
23:26
Ahmed Ali
"O my Lord," prayed (Noah), "help me against them, for they accuse me of lies."
Shakir
He said: O my Lord! help me against their calling me a liar.
Ahmed Raza Khan
نوح نے عرض کی اے میرے رب! میری مدد فرما (ف۳۵) اس پر کہ انہوں نے مجھے جھٹلایا،
23:26 فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِ أَنِ ٱصْنَعِ ٱلْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ ٱلتَّنُّورُ فَٱسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَا تُخَٰطِبْنِى فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ ٧٢
23:27
Ahmed Ali
So We asked him to build the ark under Our eyes and guidance, (and said): "When Our command is issued and the source of water boils over, put a pair of every species in it, and your family except those for whom Our sentence has been passed already; and do not speak to Me for those who are wicked: They will be drowned.
Shakir
So We revealed to him, saying: Make the ark before Our eyes and (according to) Our revelation; and when Our command is given and the valley overflows, take into it of every kind a pair, two, and your followers, except those among them against whom the word has gone forth, and do not speak to Me in respect of those who are unjust; surely they shall be drowned.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو ہم نے اسے وحی بھیجی کہ ہماری نگاہ کے سامنے (ف۳۶) اور ہمارے حکم سے کشتی بنا پھر جب ہمارا حکم آئے (ف۳۷) اور تنور ابلے (ف۳۸) تو اس میں بٹھالے (ف۳۹) ہر جوڑے میں سے دو (ف۴۰) اور اپنے گھر والے (ف۴۱) مگر ان میں سے وہ جن پر بات پہلے پڑچکی (ف۴۲) اور ان ظالموں کے معاملہ میں مجھ سے بات نہ کرنا (ف۴۳) یہ ضرور ڈبوئے جائیں گے،
