And severed their Scripture into fragments.

Those who made the Quran into shreds.

جنہوں نے کلامِ الٰہی کو تکے بوٹی کرلیا، ف۹۹)
15:91 فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَسْـَٔلَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٢٩
15:92
Ahmed Ali
By your Lord We shall question them one and all
Shakir
So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all,

تو تمہارے رب کی قسم ہم ضرور ان سب سے پوچھیں گے، (ف۱۰۰)
15:92 عَمَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٣٩

جو کچھ وہ کرتے تھے، (ف۱۰۱)
15:93 فَٱصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ٤٩
15:94
Ahmed Ali
So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters.
Shakir
Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists.

تو اعلانیہ کہہ دو جس بات کا تمہیں حکم ہے (ف۱۰۲) اور مشرکوں سے منہ پھیر لو، ف۱۰۳)
15:94 إِنَّا كَفَيْنَٰكَ ٱلْمُسْتَهْزِءِينَ ٥٩
15:95
Ahmed Ali
We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you,
Shakir
Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک ان ہنسنے والوں پر ہم تمہیں کفا یت کرتے ہیں (ف۱۰۴)
15:95 ٱلَّذِينَ يَجْعَلُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ٦٩
15:96
Ahmed Ali
Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon.
Shakir
Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو ا لله کے ساتھ دوسرا معبود ٹھہراتے ہیں تو اب جان جائیں گے، (ف۱۰۵)
15:96 وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ يَضِيقُ صَدْرُكَ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ ٧٩
15:97
Ahmed Ali
We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say.
Shakir
And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say;
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہمیں معلوم ہے کہ ان کی باتوں سے تم دل تنگ ہوتے ہو، (ف۱۰۶)
15:97 فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ ٨٩
15:98
Ahmed Ali
But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission;
Shakir
Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance.

تو اپنے رب کو سراہتے ہوئے اس کی پاکی بولو اور سجدہ والوں میں ہو، (ف۱۰۷)
15:98 وَٱعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَكَ ٱلْيَقِينُ ٩٩
15:99
Ahmed Ali
And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you.
Shakir
And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain.

اور مرتے دم تک اپنے رب کی عبادت میں رہو،
15:99 سورة النحل
16:1
Ahmed Ali
THE DECREE of GOD will surely come; so do not try to hasten it: Too glorious and high is He for what they associate with Him.
Shakir
Allah´s commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him).
Ahmed Raza Khan
اب آتا ہے اللہ کا حکم تو اس کی جلدی نہ کرو (ف۲) پاکی اور برتری ہے اسے ان شریکوں سے، (ف۳)
16:1 يُنَزِّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ بِٱلرُّوحِ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦٓ أَنْ أَنذِرُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱتَّقُونِ ٢
16:2
Ahmed Ali
He sends the angels with revelation by His command, to any of His creatures as He please, (saying): "Warn that there is no god but I, so fear Me."
Shakir
He sends down the angels with the inspiration by His commandment on whom He pleases of His servants, saying: Give the warning that there is no god but Me, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ملائکہ کو ایمان کی جان یعنی وحی لے کر اپنے جن بندوں پر چاہے اتارتا ہے (ف ۴) کہ ڈر سناؤ کہ میرے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہیں تو مجھ سے ڈرو (ف۵)
16:2 خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِٱلْحَقِّ تَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ٣
16:3
Ahmed Ali
He created the heavens and the earth with reason. Too glorious and high is He for what they associate with Him.
Shakir
He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him).
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس نے آسمان اور زمین بجا بنائے (ف۶) وہ ان کے شرک سے برتر ہے،
16:3 خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ ٤
16:4
Ahmed Ali
Man He created from a drop of semen; and still he becomes an open contender.
Shakir
He created man from a small seed and lo! he is an open contender.
Ahmed Raza Khan
(اس نے) آدمی کو ایک نِتھری بوند سے بنایا (ف۷) تو جبھی کھلا جھگڑالو ہے،
16:4 وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمَ خَلَقَهَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا دِفْءٌ وَمَنَٰفِعُ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ٥
16:5
Ahmed Ali
He created the cattle from whom you get warm clothing and (other) advantages, and some you eat.
Shakir
And He created the cattle for you; you have in them warm clothing and (many) advantages, and of them do you eat.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور چوپائے پیدا کیے ان میں تمہارے لیے گرم لباس اور منفعتیں ہیں (ف۸) اور ان میں سے کھاتے ہو،
16:5 وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ حِينَ تُرِيحُونَ وَحِينَ تَسْرَحُونَ ٦
16:6
Ahmed Ali
There is life and cheer for you as you drive them home in the evening, and lead them out in the morning to graze.
Shakir
And there is beauty in them for you when you drive them back (to home), and when you send them forth (to pasture).

اور تمہارا ان میں تجمل ہے جب انہیں شام کو واپس لاتے ہو اور جب چرنے کو چھوڑتے ہو،

Ahmed Ali
They carry your burdens to lands so distant you could not have reached without much hardship. Indeed your Lord is compassionate and kind.
Shakir
And they carry your heavy loads to regions which you could not reach but with distress of the souls; most surely your Lord is Compassionate, Merciful.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہ تمہارے بوجھ اٹھا کر لے جاتے ہیں ایسے شہر کی طرف کہ اس تک نہ پہنچتے مگر ادھ مرے ہوکر، بیشک تمہارا رب نہایت مہربان رحم والا ہے (ف۹)
16:7 وَٱلْخَيْلَ وَٱلْبِغَالَ وَٱلْحَمِيرَ لِتَرْكَبُوهَا وَزِينَةً وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ٨
16:8
Ahmed Ali
He created horses, mules and donkeys for riding and for splendour. He created other things too which you do not know.
Shakir
And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور گھوڑے اور خچر اور گدھے کہ ان پر سوار ہو اور زینت کے لیے، اور وہ پیدا کرے گا (ف۱۰) جس کی تمہیں خبر نہیں، (ف۱۱)
16:8 وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ قَصْدُ ٱلسَّبِيلِ وَمِنْهَا جَآئِرٌ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَهَدَىٰكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٩
16:9
Ahmed Ali
To God leads the right path, though some deviate. If He willed He could guide you all to the right way.
Shakir
And upon Allah it rests to show the right way, and there are some deviating (ways); and if He please He would certainly guide you all aright.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیچ کی راہ (ف۱۲) ٹھیک اللہ تک ہے اور کوئی راہ ٹیڑھی ہے (ف۱۳) اور چاہتا تو تم سب کو راہ پر لاتا، (ف۱۴)
16:9 هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً لَّكُم مِّنْهُ شَرَابٌ وَمِنْهُ شَجَرٌ فِيهِ تُسِيمُونَ ٠١
16:10
Ahmed Ali
It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle,
Shakir
He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہی ہے جس نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا اس سے تمہارا پینا ہے اور اس سے درخت ہیں جن سے چَراتے ہو (ف۱۵)
16:10 يُنۢبِتُ لَكُم بِهِ ٱلزَّرْعَ وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ وَٱلنَّخِيلَ وَٱلْأَعْنَٰبَ وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ١١
16:11
Ahmed Ali
With which He makes crops grow, and olives, dates and grapes and fruits of every kind for you. In this is a sign for those who think.
Shakir
He causes to grow for you thereby herbage, and the olives, and the palm trees, and the grapes, and of all the fruits; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس پانی سے تمہارے لیے کھیتی اگاتا ہے اور زیتون اور کھجور اور انگور اور ہر قسم کے پھل (ف۱۶) بیشک اس میں نشانی ہے (ف۱۷) دھیان کرنے والوں کو،
16:11 وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ وَٱلنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَٰتٌۢ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ ٢١
16:12
Ahmed Ali
He harnessed the day and night for you, as also the sun, the moon and the stars, by His command. In this are signs for men who understand.
Shakir
And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder;
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس نے تمہارے لیے مسخر کیے رات اور دن اور سورج اور چاند، اور ستارے اس کے حکم کے باندھے ہیں بیشک اس آیت میں نشانیاں ہیں عقل مندوں کو (ف۱۸)
16:12 وَمَا ذَرَأَ لَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَٰنُهُۥٓ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُونَ ٣١
16:13
Ahmed Ali
And other things of different shades has He produced on the earth for you. In this are signs for those who reflect.
Shakir
And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful.

اور وہ جو تمہارے لیے زمین میں پیدا کیا رنگ برنگ (ف۱۹) بیشک اس میں نشانی ہے یاد کرنے والوں کو
16:13 وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى سَخَّرَ ٱلْبَحْرَ لِتَأْكُلُوا۟ مِنْهُ لَحْمًا طَرِيًّا وَتَسْتَخْرِجُوا۟ مِنْهُ حِلْيَةً تَلْبَسُونَهَا وَتَرَى ٱلْفُلْكَ مَوَاخِرَ فِيهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ٤١
16:14
Ahmed Ali
It is He who has subdued the sea that you may eat fresh meat from it, and obtain ornaments to wear. You see the ships plough through it that you may seek of His bounties and, perhaps, be grateful.
Shakir
And He it is Who has made the sea subservient that you may eat fresh flesh from it and bring forth from it ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships cleaving through it, and that you might seek of His bounty and that you may give thanks.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہی ہے جس نے تمہارے لیے دریا مسخر کیا (ف۲۰) کہ اس میں سے تازہ گوشت کھاتے ہو (ف۲۱) اور اس میں سے گہنا (زیور) نکالتے ہو جسے پہنتے ہو (ف۲۲) اور تو اس میں کشتیاں دیکھے کہ پانی چیر کر چلتی ہیں اور اس لیے کہ تم اس کا فضل تلاش کرو اور کہیں احسان مانو،
