سورة الحجر
15:1
Ahmed Ali
ALIF LAM RA. These are the verses of the Book and the perspicuous oration.
Shakir
Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the Book and (of) a Quran that makes (things) clear.
Ahmed Raza Khan
یہ آیتیں ہیں کتاب اور روشن قرآن کی-
15:1 رُّبَمَا يَوَدُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ ٢
15:2
Ahmed Ali
The unbelievers would haply like to wish that they had submitted (and become Muslim).
Shakir
Often will those who disbelieve wish that they had been Muslims.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بہت آرزوئیں کریں گے کافر (ف۲) کاش مسلمان ہوتے،
15:2 ذَرْهُمْ يَأْكُلُوا۟ وَيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ وَيُلْهِهِمُ ٱلْأَمَلُ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ٣
15:3
Ahmed Ali
Leave them to feast and revel, beguiled by hope; they will come to know soon.
Shakir
Leave them that they may eat and enjoy themselves and (that) hope may beguile them, for they will soon know.
Ahmed Raza Khan
انہیں چھوڑو (ف۳) کہ کھائیں اور برتیں (ف۴) اور امید (ف۵) انہیں کھیل میں ڈالے تو اب جانا چاہتے ہیں (ف۶)
15:3 وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا وَلَهَا كِتَابٌ مَّعْلُومٌ ٤
15:4
Ahmed Ali
Not one habitation have We destroyed but at the time determined for it.
Shakir
And never did We destroy a town but it had a term made known.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جو بستی ہم نے ہلاک کی اس کا ایک جانا ہوا نوشتہ تھا (ف۷)
15:4 مَّا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ ٥
15:5
Ahmed Ali
No people can hasten or delay the term already fixed for them.
Shakir
No people can hasten on their doom nor can they postpone (it).
Ahmed Raza Khan
کو ئی گروہ اپنے وعدہ سے آگے نہ بڑھے نہ پیچھے ہٹے،
15:5 وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِى نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلذِّكْرُ إِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونٌ ٦
15:6
Ahmed Ali
And yet they say: "You, to whom this Exposition has been sent are surely possessed of the Devil.
Shakir
And they say: O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed! you are most surely insane:
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بولے (ف۸) کہ اے وہ جن پر قرآن اترا بیشک مجنون ہو (ف۹)
15:6 لَّوْ مَا تَأْتِينَا بِٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ٧
15:7
Ahmed Ali
If you are a man of truth, why can´t you bring the angels to us?"
Shakir
Why do you not bring to us the angels if you are of the truthful ones?
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہمارے پاس فرشتے کیوں نہیں لاتے (ف۱۰) اگر تم سچے ہو (ف۱۱)
15:7 مَا نُنَزِّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَمَا كَانُوٓا۟ إِذًا مُّنظَرِينَ ٨
15:8
Ahmed Ali
But then We never send the angels down save with the purpose (of enforcing their doom), after which they will not be given more respite.
Shakir
We do not send the angels but with truth, and then they would not be respited.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہم فرشتے بیکار نہیں اتارتے اور وہ اتریں تو انہیں مہلت نہ ملے (ف۱۲)
15:8 إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا ٱلذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ لَحَٰفِظُونَ ٩
15:9
Ahmed Ali
We have sent down this Exposition, and We will guard it.
Shakir
Surely We have revealed the Reminder and We will most surely be its guardian.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک ہم نے اتارا ہے یہ قرآن اور بیشک ہم خود اس کے نگہبان ہیں (ف۱۳)
15:9 وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ فِى شِيَعِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٠١
15:10
Ahmed Ali
We had also sent apostles to people of earlier persuasions.
Shakir
And certainly We sent (messengers) before you among the nations of yore.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے تم سے پہلے اگلی امتوں میں رسول بھیجے،
15:10 وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ١١
15:11
Ahmed Ali
But never once an apostle came to them at whom they did not scoff.
Shakir
And there never came a messenger to them but they mocked him.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ان کے پاس کوئی رسول نہیں آتا مگر اس سے ہنسی کرتے ہیں (ف۱۴)
15:11 كَذَٰلِكَ نَسْلُكُهُۥ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ٢١
15:12
Ahmed Ali
We place in the hearts of sinners (disbelief).
Shakir
Thus do We make it to enter into the hearts of the guilty;
Ahmed Raza Khan
ایسے ہی ہم اس ہنسی کو ان مجرموں (ف۱۵) کے دلوں میں راہ دیتے ہیں،
15:12 لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ سُنَّةُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٣١
15:13
Ahmed Ali
So, they will not believe in it: The example of former people is there.
Shakir
They do not believe in it, and indeed the example of the former people has already passed.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ اس پر (ف۱۶) ایمان نہیں لاتے اور اگلوں کی راہ پڑچکی ہے (ف۱۷)
15:13 وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ ٤١
15:14
Ahmed Ali
Even if We open a door in the heavens and they ascend through it in broad daylight,
Shakir
And even if We open to them a gateway of heaven, so that they ascend into it all the while,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اگر ہم ان کے لیے آسمان میں کوئی دروازہ کھول دیں کہ دن کو اس میں چڑھتے،
15:14 لَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَٰرُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُورُونَ ٥١
15:15
Ahmed Ali
They will say all the same: "Our eyes were dazed (and clouded over). We were a people ensorcelled."
Shakir
They would certainly say: Only our eyes have been covered over, rather we are an enchanted people.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب بھی یہی کہتے کہ ہماری نگاہ باندھ دی گئی ہے بلکہ ہم پر جادو ہوا ہے (ف۱۸)

Ahmed Ali
We have placed the signs of the Zodiac in the sky, and decked it out for those who can see;
Shakir
And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے آسمان میں برج بنائے (ف۱۹) اور اسے دیکھنے والو ں کے لیے آراستہ کیا (ف۲۰)
15:16 وَحَفِظْنَٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَيْطَٰنٍ رَّجِيمٍ ٧١
15:17
Ahmed Ali
And We have preserved it from every accursed devil,
Shakir
And We guard it against every accursed Shaitan,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اسے ہم نے ہر شیطان مردود سے محفوظ رکھا (ف۲۱)
15:17 إِلَّا مَنِ ٱسْتَرَقَ ٱلسَّمْعَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ مُّبِينٌ ٨١
15:18
Ahmed Ali
Except the ones who listen on the sly, yet they are chased away by a shooting flame.
Shakir
But he who steals a hearing, so there follows him a visible flame.
Ahmed Raza Khan
مگر جو چوری چھپے سننے جائے تو اس کے پیچھے پڑتا ہے روشن شعلہ (ف۲۲)
15:18 وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ مَّوْزُونٍ ٩١
15:19
Ahmed Ali
We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers, and made all things grow upon it balanced evenly.
Shakir
And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم نے زمین پھیلائی اور اس میں لنگر ڈالے (ف۲۳) اور اس میں ہر چیز اندازے سے اگائی،
15:19 وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ وَمَن لَّسْتُمْ لَهُۥ بِرَٰزِقِينَ ٠٢
15:20
Ahmed Ali
We have provided on it sustenance for you, and for those you cannot provide.
Shakir
And We have made in it means of subsistence for you and for him for whom you are not the suppliers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور تمہارے لیے اس میں روزیاں کردیں (ف۲۴) اور وہ کردیے جنہیں تم رزق نہیں دیتے (ف۲۵)
15:20 وَإِن مِّن شَىْءٍ إِلَّا عِندَنَا خَزَآئِنُهُۥ وَمَا نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِقَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ ١٢
15:21
Ahmed Ali
Of all things there are We have the stores, and send them down in determined measure.
Shakir
And there is not a thing but with Us are the treasures of it, and We do not send it down but in a known measure.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کوئی چیز نہیں جس کے ہمارے پاس خزانے نہ ہوں (ف۲۶) اور ہم اسے نہیں اتارتے مگر ایک معلوم انداز سے،
15:21 وَأَرْسَلْنَا ٱلرِّيَٰحَ لَوَٰقِحَ فَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُمُوهُ وَمَآ أَنتُمْ لَهُۥ بِخَٰزِنِينَ ٢٢
15:22
Ahmed Ali
We send rain-impregnated winds, and water from the sky which you drink, but you are not the keepers of its store.
Shakir
And We send the winds fertilizing, then send down water from the cloud so We give it to you to drink of, nor is it you who store it up.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم نے ہوائیں بھیجیں بادلوں کو با رور کرنے والیاں (ف۲۷) تو ہم نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا پھر وہ تمہیں پینے کو دیا اور تم کچھ اس کے خزانچی نہیں (ف۲۸)
15:22 وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ نُحْىِۦ وَنُمِيتُ وَنَحْنُ ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ ٣٢
15:23
Ahmed Ali
It is We who give life and We who give death, and We are the One who will abide.
Shakir
And most surely We bring to life and cause to die and We are the heirs.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم ہی جِلائیں اور ہم ہی ماریں اور ہم ہی وارث ہیں (ف۲۹)
15:23 وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا ٱلْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ مِنكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْنَا ٱلْمُسْتَـْٔخِرِينَ ٤٢
15:24
Ahmed Ali
We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind.
Shakir
And certainly We know those of you who have gone before and We certainly know those who shall come later.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہمیں معلوم ہیں جو تم میں آگے بڑھے اور بیشک ہمیں معلوم ہیں جو تم میں پیچھے رہے، (ف۳۰)
15:24 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ إِنَّهُۥ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ ٥٢
15:25
Ahmed Ali
Your Lord will surely gather them together: Certainly He is all-wise and all-knowing.
Shakir
And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک تمہارا رب ہی تمہیں قیامت میں اٹھائے گا (ف۳۱) بیشک وہی علم و حکمت والا ہے،
15:25 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ ٦٢
15:26
Ahmed Ali
Man We fashioned from fermented clay dried tingling hard,
Shakir
And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے آدمی کو (ف۳۲) بجتی ہوئی مٹی سے بنایا جو اصل میں ایک سیاہ بودار گارا تھی، ف۳۳)
15:26 وَٱلْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ ٧٢
15:27
Ahmed Ali
As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat.
Shakir
And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جِن کو اس سے پہلے بنایا بے دھوئیں کی آگ سے، (ف۳۴)
15:27 وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ إِنِّى خَٰلِقٌۢ بَشَرًا مِّن صَلْصَٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ ٨٢
15:28
Ahmed Ali
But when your Lord said to the angels: "I am verily going to create a human being from fermented clay dried tingling hard;
Shakir
And when your Lord said to the angels: Surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور یاد کرو جب تمہارے رب نے فرشتوں سے فرمایا کہ میں آدمی کو بنانے والا ہوں بجتی مٹی سے جو بدبودار سیاہ گارے سے ہے،
15:28 فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَٰجِدِينَ ٩٢
15:29
Ahmed Ali
And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage;"
Shakir
So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو جب میں اسے ٹھیک کرلوں اور اور میں اپنی طرف کی خاص معز ز ر وح پھونک دوں (ف۳۵) تو اس (ف۳۶) کے لیے سجدے میں گر پڑنا،
15:29 فَسَجَدَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ ٠٣
15:30
Ahmed Ali
The angels bowed in homage in a body
Shakir
So the angels made obeisance, all of them together,
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو جتنے فرشتے تھے سب کے سب سجدے میں گرے،
15:30 إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ ١٣
15:31
Ahmed Ali
Except Iblis. He refused to bow with the adorers.
Shakir
But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance.
Ahmed Raza Khan
سوا ابلیس کے، اس نے سجدہ والوں کا ساتھ نہ مانا (ف۳۷)
