وَيَقُولُ
ٱلَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا۟
لَسْتَ
مُرْسَلًا
قُلْ
كَفَىٰ
بِٱللَّهِ
شَهِيدًۢا
بَيْنِى
وَبَيْنَكُمْ
وَمَنْ
عِندَهُۥ
عِلْمُ
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ

الٓر
كِتَٰبٌ
أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
إِلَيْكَ
لِتُخْرِجَ
ٱلنَّاسَ
مِنَ
ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ
إِلَى
ٱلنُّورِ
بِإِذْنِ
رَبِّهِمْ
إِلَىٰ
صِرَٰطِ
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
ٱلْحَمِيدِ

Ahmed Ali
Yet those who are disbelievers say: "You are not the apostle sent (by God)." Tell them: "God is sufficient as witness between me and you, and he who has knowledge of the Book."
Shakir
And those who disbelieve say: You are not a messenger. Say: Allah is sufficient as a witness between me and you and whoever has knowledge of the Book.

اور کافر کہتے ہی تم رسول نہیں، تم فرماؤ اللہ گواہ کافی ہے مجھ میں اور تم میں (ف۱۱۹) اور وہ جسے کتاب کا علم ہے (ف۱۲۰)

ALIF LAM RA. A Book We have sent down to you that you may lead men out of darkness into light, by their Lord´s command, to the path of the mighty, the worthy of praise.
Shakir
Alif Lam Ra. (This is) a Book which We have revealed to you that you may bring forth men, by their Lord´s permission from utter darkness into light-- to the way of the Mighty, the Praised One,

ایک کتاب ہے (ف۲) کہ ہم نے تمہاری طرف اتاری کہ تم لوگوں کو (ف۳) اندھیریوں سے (ف۴) اجالے میں لا ؤ (ف۵) ان کے رب کے حکم سے اس کی راہ (ف۶) کی طرف جو عزت والا سب خوبیوں والا ہے
14:1 ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ ٢
14:2
Ahmed Ali
God, to whom belongs all there is in the heavens and the earth. Woe to the unbelievers for the terrible punishment (that awaits).
Shakir
(Of) Allah, Whose is whatever is in the heavens and whatever Is in the earth; and woe to the unbelievers on account of the severe chastisement,

اللہ کہ اسی کا ہے جو کچھ آسمانوں میں ہے اور جو کچھ زمین میں (ف۷) اور کافروں کی خرابی ہے ایک سخت عذاب سے
14:2 ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا عَلَى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجًا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ ٣
14:3

Those who hold the life of this world dearer than that of the next, who obstruct the path of God and seek obliquity in it, have wandered far into error.
Shakir
(To) those who love this world´s life more than the hereafter, and turn away from Allah´s path and desire to make it crooked; these are in a great error.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جنہیں آخرت سے دنیا کی زندگی پیاری ہے اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے (ف۸) اور اس میں کجی چاہتے ہیں، وہ دور کی گمراہی میں ہیں (ف۹)
14:3 وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِۦ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ فَيُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَيَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٤
14:4
Ahmed Ali
We never sent a messenger who did not speak the tongue of his people, that he may explain to them distinctly. God leads whosoever He wills astray, and shows whoever He wills the way: He is all-mighty and all-wise.
Shakir
And We did not send any messenger but with the language of his people, so that he might explain to them clearly; then Allah makes whom He pleases err and He guides whom He pleases and He is the Mighty, the Wise.

اور ہم نے ہر رسول اس کی قوم ہی کی زبان میں بھیجا (ف۱۰) کہ وہ انہیں صاف بتائے (ف۱۱) پھراللہ گمراہ کرتا ہے جسے چاہے اور وہ راہ دکھاتا ہے جسے چاہے، اور وہی عزت و حکمت والا ہے،
14:4 وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أَنْ أَخْرِجْ قَوْمَكَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ وَذَكِّرْهُم بِأَيَّىٰمِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ ٥
14:5
Ahmed Ali
Remember when We sent Moses with Our signs (We said): "Bring your people out of darkness into light, and remind them of the visitations of God. Indeed there are signs in this for every steadfast, thankful soul"
Shakir
And certainly We sent Musa with Our communications, saying: Bring forth your people from utter darkness into light and remind them of the days of Allah; most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one.

اور بیشک ہم نے موسیٰ کو اپنی نشانیاں (ف۱۲) دے کر بھیجا کہ اپنی قوم کو اندھیریوں سے (ف۱۳) اجالے میں لا، اور انہیں اللہ کے دن یا د دِلا (ف۱۴) بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں ہر بڑے صبرے والے شکر گزار کرو،

نِعْمَةَ
ٱللَّهِ

فِرْعَوْنَ
يَسُومُونَكُمْ
سُوٓءَ
ٱلْعَذَابِ
وَيُذَبِّحُونَ
أَبْنَآءَكُمْ
وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ
نِسَآءَكُمْ
وَفِى
ذَٰلِكُم
بَلَآءٌ
مِّن
رَّبِّكُمْ
عَظِيمٌ

Ahmed Ali
So Moses said to his people: "Remember the favours of God when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh who afflicted you with oppression, slaying your sons but keeping alive your women, which was a great trial from your Lord."
Shakir
And when Musa said to his people: Call to mind Allah´s favor to you when He delivered you from Firon´s people, who subjected you to severe torment, and slew your sons and spared your women; and in this there was a great trial from your Lord.

اور جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا (ف۱۵) یاد کرو اپنے اوپر اللہ کا احسان جب اس نے تمہیں فرعون والوں سے نجات دی جو تم کو بری مار دیتے تھے اور تمہارے بیٹوں کو ذبح کرتے اور تمہاری بیٹیاں زندہ رکھتے، اور اس میں (ف۱۶) تمہارے رب کا بڑا فضل ہوا،
14:6 وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌ ٧
14:7
Ahmed Ali
Remember, your Lord proclaimed: "I shall give you more if you are grateful; but if you are thankless then surely My punishment is very great."
Shakir
And when your Lord made it known: If you are grateful, I would certainly give to you more, and if you are ungrateful, My chastisement is truly severe.

اور یاد کرو جب تمہارے رب نے سنادیا کہ اگر احسان مانو گے تو میں تمہیں اور دونگا (ف۱۷) اور اگر ناشکری کرو تو میرا عذاب سخت ہے،
14:7 وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰٓ إِن تَكْفُرُوٓا۟ أَنتُمْ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌ ٨
14:8
Ahmed Ali
And Moses said: "What if you and all the people of the world deny, God is unconcerned and worthy of praise."
Shakir
And Musa said: If you are ungrateful, you and those on earth all together, most surely Allah is Self-sufficient, Praised;

اور موسیٰ نے کہا اگر تم اور زمین میں جتنے ہیں سب کا فر ہوجاؤ (ف۱۸) تو بیشک اللہ بے پروہ سب خوبیوں والا ہے،
14:8 أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَبَؤُا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ قَوْمِ نُوحٍ وَعَادٍ وَثَمُودَ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَرَدُّوٓا۟ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِىٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كَفَرْنَا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَفِى شَكٍّ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَنَآ إِلَيْهِ مُرِيبٍ ٩
14:9
Ahmed Ali
Has not the news of those before you, the people of Noah and ´Ad and Thamud, and those who came after them, come to you? None knows (about) them except God. Their apostles came to them with clear proofs, but they tried to silence them and said: "We do not believe in what you have been sent with, and we are in doubt of what you call us to, about which we are in disquiet.´
Shakir
Has not the account reached you of those before you, of the people of Nuh and Ad and Samood, and those after them? None knows them but Allah. Their messengers come to them with clear arguments, but they thrust their hands into their mouths and said: Surely we deny that with which you are sent, and most surely we are in serious doubt as to that to which you invite us.

کیا تمہیں ان کی خبریں نہ آئیں جو تم سے پہلے تھی نوح کی قوم اور عاد اور ثمود اور جو ان کے بعد ہوئے، انہیں اللہ ہی جانے (ف۱۹) ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن دلیلیں لے کر آئے (ف۲۰) تو وہ اپنے ہاتھ (ف۲۱) اپنے منہ کی طرف لے گئے (ف۲۲) اور بولے ہم منکر ہیں اس کے جو تمہارے ہاتھ بھیجا گیا اور جس راہ (ف۲۳) کی طرف ہمیں بلاتے ہو اس میں ہمیں وہ شک ہے کہ بات کھلنے نہیں دیتا،
14:9 ۞ قَالَتْ رُسُلُهُمْ أَفِى ٱللَّهِ شَكٌّ فَاطِرِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِيَغْفِرَ لَكُم مِّن ذُنُوبِكُمْ وَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى قَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا تُرِيدُونَ أَن تَصُدُّونَا عَمَّا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأْتُونَا بِسُلْطَٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ ٠١
14:10
Ahmed Ali
Said their apostles: "Can there be doubt about God, the originator of the heavens and the earth? He calls you to forgive some of your sins, and give you respite for a time ordained." They said: "You are only men like us, and yet you wish to turn us away from what our fathers worshipped. Bring to us then a clear proof."
Shakir
Their messengers said: Is there doubt about Allah, the Maker of the heavens and the earth? He invites you to forgive you your faults and to respite you till an appointed term. They said: You are nothing but mortals like us; you wish to turn us away from what our fathers used to worship; bring us therefore some clear authority.

ان کے رسولوں نے کہا کیا اللہ میں شک ہے (ف۲۴) آسمان اور زمین کا بنانے والا، تمہیں بلاتا ہے (ف۲۵) کہ تمہارے کچھ گناہ بخشے (ف۲۶) اور موت کے مقرر وقت تک تمہاری زندگی بے عذاب کاٹ دے، بولے تم تو ہمیں جیسے آدمی ہو (ف۲۷) تم چاہتے ہو کہ ہمیں اس سے باز رکھو جو ہمارے باپ دادا پوجتے تھے (ف۲۸) اب کوئی روشن سند ہمارے پاس لے آؤ (ف۲۹)
