سورة الرعد
13:1
Ahmed Ali
ALIF LAM MIM RA. These are the verses of the Scripture. Whatsoever is sent down to you from your Lord is the truth; but most men do not believe.
Shakir
Alif Lam Mim Ra. These are the verses of the Book; and that which is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, but most people do not believe.
Ahmed Raza Khan
یہ کتاب کی آیتیں ہیں (ف۲) اور وہ جو تمہاری طرف تمہارے رب کے پاس سے اترا (ف۳) حق ہے (ف۴) مگر اکثر آدمی ایمان نہیں لاتے (ف۵)
13:1 ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى رَفَعَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِى لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُم بِلِقَآءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ ٢
13:2
Ahmed Ali
It is God who raised the skies without support, as you can see, then assumed His throne, and enthralled the sun and the moon (so that) each runs to a predetermined course. He disposes all affairs, distinctly explaining every sign that you may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.
Shakir
Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you see, and He is firm in power and He made the sun and the moon subservient (to you); each one pursues its course to an appointed time; He regulates the affair, making clear the signs that you may be certain of meeting your Lord.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اللہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں کو بلند کیا بے ستونوں کے کہ تم دیکھو (ف۶) پھر عرش پر استوا فرمایا جیسا اس کی شان کے لائق ہے اور سورج اور چاند کو مسخر کیا (ف۷) ہر ایک، ایک ٹھہرائے ہوئے وعدہ تک چلتا ہے (ف۸) اللہ کام کی تدبیر فرماتا اور مفصل نشانیاں بتاتا ہے (ف۹) کہیں تم اپنے رب رب کا ملنا یقین کرو (ف۱۰)
13:2 وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَدَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنْهَٰرًا وَمِن كُلِّ ٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ جَعَلَ فِيهَا زَوْجَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ يُغْشِى ٱلَّيْلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ٣
13:3
Ahmed Ali
It is He who stretched the earth and placed upon it stabilisers and rivers; and made two of a pair of every fruit; (and) He covers up the day with the night. In these are signs for those who reflect.
Shakir
And He it is Who spread the earth and made in it firm mountains and rivers, and of all fruits He has made in it two kinds; He makes the night cover the day; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہی ہے جس نے زمین کو پھیلا اور اس میں لنگر (ف۱۱) اور نہریں بنائیں، اور زمین ہر قسم کے پھل دو دو طرح کے بنائے (ف۱۲) رات سے دن کو چھپا لیتا ہے، بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں دھیان کرنے والوں کو (ف۱۳)
13:3 وَفِى ٱلْأَرْضِ قِطَعٌ مُّتَجَٰوِرَٰتٌ وَجَنَّٰتٌ مِّنْ أَعْنَٰبٍ وَزَرْعٌ وَنَخِيلٌ صِنْوَانٌ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍ يُسْقَىٰ بِمَآءٍ وَٰحِدٍ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فِى ٱلْأُكُلِ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ ٤
13:4
Ahmed Ali
On the earth are tracts adjoining one another, and vineyards, fields of corn and date-palm trees, some forked, some with single trunks, yet all irrigated by the self-same water, though We make some more excellent than the others in fruit. There are surely signs in them for those who understand.
Shakir
And in the earth there are tracts side by side and gardens of grapes and corn and palm trees having one root and (others) having distinct roots-- they are watered with one water, and We make some of them excel others in fruit; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور زمین کے مختلف قطعے ہیں اور ہیں پاس پاس (ف۱۴) اور باغ ہیں انگوروں کے اور کھیتی اور کھجور کے پیڑ ایک تھالے (تھال) سے اُگے اور الگ الگ سب کو ایک ہی پانی دیا جا تا ہے اور پھلوں میں ہم ایک کو دوسرے سے بہتر کرتے ہیں، بیشک اس میں نشانیاں ہیں عقل مندوں کے لیے (ف۱۵)
13:4 ۞ وَإِن تَعْجَبْ فَعَجَبٌ قَوْلُهُمْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبًا أَءِنَّا لَفِى خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ فِىٓ أَعْنَاقِهِمْ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ ٥
13:5
Ahmed Ali
If you are surprised, then astonishing is the speech (of those who say:) "Having turned to dust shall we be raised as a new creation?" They are the ones who deny their Lord, and they will have collars around their necks. They are the inmates of Hell, where they will abide for ever.
Shakir
And if you would wonder, then wondrous is their saying: What! when we are dust, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? These are they who disbelieve in their Lord, and these have chains on their necks, and they are the inmates of the fire; in it they shall abide.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اگر تم تعجب کرو (ف۱۶) تو اچنبھا تو ان کے اس کہنے کا ہے کہ کیا ہم مٹی ہو کر پھر نئے بنیں گے (ف۱۷) وہ ہیں جو اپنے رب سے منکر ہوئے اور وہ ہیں جن کی گردنوں میں طوق ہوں گے (ف۱۸) اور وہ دوزخ والے ہیں انھیں اسی میں رہنا،

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ
بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ
قَبْلَ
ٱلْحَسَنَةِ
وَقَدْ
خَلَتْ
مِن
قَبْلِهِمُ
ٱلْمَثُلَٰتُ
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَذُو
مَغْفِرَةٍ
لِّلنَّاسِ
عَلَىٰ
ظُلْمِهِمْ
وَإِنَّ
رَبَّكَ
لَشَدِيدُ
ٱلْعِقَابِ

Ahmed Ali
They want you to hasten the evil before the good, even when there have been examples of retribution before them. Though certainly your Lord forgives human beings for their iniquities, your Lord is severe of retribution.
Shakir
And they ask you to hasten on the evil before the good, and indeed there have been exemplary punishments before them; and most surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness to people, notwithstanding their injustice; and most surely your Lord is severe in requiting (evil).

اور تم سے عذاب کی جلدی کرتے ہیں رحمت سے پہلے (ف۱۹) اور ان اگلوں کی سزائیں ہوچکیں (ف۲۰) اور بیشک تمہارا رب تو لوگوں کے ظلم پر بھی انہیں ایک طرح کی معافی دیتا ہے (ف۲۱) اور بیشک تمہارے رب کا عذاب سخت ہے (ف۲۲)
13:6 وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٌ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ ٧
13:7
Ahmed Ali
The unbelievers say: "Why no miracle was sent down to him by his Lord?" But you are only a bearer of warnings, and a guide for every nation.
Shakir
And those who disbelieve say: Why has not a sign been sent down upon him from his Lord? You are only a warner and (there is) a guide for every people.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کا فر کہتے ہیں ان پر ان کی طرف سے کوئی نشانی کیو ں نہیں اتری (ف۲۳) تم تو ڈر سنانے والے ہو اور ہر قوم کے ہادی (ف۲۴)
13:7 ٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنثَىٰ وَمَا تَغِيضُ ٱلْأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍ عِندَهُۥ بِمِقْدَارٍ ٨
13:8
Ahmed Ali
God is cognisant of what every female carries in her womb, or what the wombs want or exceed (of their disburdening time). With Him all things are in determined measure.
Shakir
Allah knows what every female bears, and that of which the wombs fall short of completion and that in which they increase; and there is a measure with Him of everything.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اللہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ کسی مادہ کے پیٹ میں ہے (ف۲۵) اور پیٹ جو کچھ گھٹتے بڑھتے ہیں (ف۲۶) اور ہر چیز اس کے پاس ایک اندازے سے ہے (ف۲۵)
13:8 عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ ٱلْكَبِيرُ ٱلْمُتَعَالِ ٩
13:9
Ahmed Ali
He is the knower of the known and the unknown, the mighty and most high.
Shakir
The knower of the unseen and the seen, the Great, the Most High.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہر چھپے اور کھلے کا جاننے والا سب سے بڑا بلندی والا (ف۲۸)
13:9 سَوَآءٌ مِّنكُم مَّنْ أَسَرَّ ٱلْقَوْلَ وَمَن جَهَرَ بِهِۦ وَمَنْ هُوَ مُسْتَخْفٍۭ بِٱلَّيْلِ وَسَارِبٌۢ بِٱلنَّهَارِ ٠١
13:10
Ahmed Ali
He who keeps his secret among you is the same to Him as he who speaks out publicly, and he who hides himself in the night and walks freely in the day.
Shakir
Alike (to Him) among you is he who conceals (his) words and he who speaks them openly, and he who hides himself by night and (who) goes forth by day.
Ahmed Raza Khan
برابر ہیں جو تم میں بات آہستہ کہے اور جو آواز سے اور جو رات میں چھپا ہے اور جو دن میں راہ چلتا ہے (ف۲۹)
13:10 لَهُۥ مُعَقِّبَٰتٌ مِّنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ يَحْفَظُونَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا۟ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوٓءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَالٍ ١١
13:11
Ahmed Ali
His angels keep watch over him in succession (night and day), in front and behind, by God´s command. Verily God does not change the state of a people till they change themselves. When God intends misfortune for a people no one can avert it, and no saviour will they have apart from Him.
Shakir
For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah´s commandment; surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition; and when Allah intends evil to a people, there is no averting it, and besides Him they have no protector.
Ahmed Raza Khan
آدمی کے لیے بدلی والے فرشتے ہیں اس کے آگے پیچھے (ف۳۰) کہ بحکم خدا اس کی حفاظت کرتے ہیں (ف۳۱) بیشک اللہ کسی قوم سے اپنی نعمت نہیں بدلتا جب تک وہ خود (ف۳۲) اپنی حالت نہ بدلیں، اور جب کسی قوم سے برائی چاہے (ف۳۳) تو وہ پھر نہیں سکتی، اور اس کے سوا ان کا کوئی حمایتی نہیں (ف۳۴)
13:11 هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُرِيكُمُ ٱلْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنشِئُ ٱلسَّحَابَ ٱلثِّقَالَ ٢١
13:12
Ahmed Ali
It is He who makes the lightning flash for fear and hope, and raises massive clouds.
Shakir
He it is Who shows you the lightning causing fear and hope and (Who) brings up the heavy cloud.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہی ہے تمہیں بجلی دکھاتا ہے ڈر کو اور امید کو (ف۳۵) اور بھاری بدلیاں اٹھاتا ہے،
13:12 وَيُسَبِّحُ ٱلرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِۦ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِۦ وَيُرْسِلُ ٱلصَّوَٰعِقَ فَيُصِيبُ بِهَا مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُمْ يُجَٰدِلُونَ فِى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْمِحَالِ ٣١
13:13
Ahmed Ali
The thunder sings His praises, and the angels too, for awe of Him. He sends thunder-bolts and strikes whosoever He will with them: Even then it is God they contend about! But mighty is He in (His) power.
Shakir
And the thunder declares His glory with His praise, and the angels too for awe of Him; and He sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He pleases, yet they dispute concerning Allah, and He is mighty in prowess.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور گر ج اسے سراہتی ہوئی اس کی پاکی بولتی ہے (ف۳۶) اور فرشتے اس کے ڈر سے (ف۳۷) اور کڑک بھیجتا ہے (ف۳۸) تو اسے ڈالتا ہے جس پر چاہے اور وہ اللہ میں جھگڑتے ہوتے ہیں (ف۳۹) اور اس کی پکڑ سخت ہے،
