Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the wise Book.

یہ حکمت والی کتاب کی آیتیں ہیں،
10:1 أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا أَنْ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَنْ أَنذِرِ ٱلنَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ قَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ مُّبِينٌ ٢
10:2
Ahmed Ali
Are the people astonished that a man who is one of them was commanded by Us to warn them and to bring glad tidings to those who believe that they have a true precedence with their Lord? (Yet) the unbelievers say: "He is a clear sorcerer."
Shakir
What! is it a wonder to the people that We revealed to a man from among themselves, saying: Warn the people and give good news to those who believe that theirs is a footing of firmness with their Lord. The unbelievers say: This is most surely a manifest enchanter.

کیا لوگوں کو اس کا اچنبا ہوا کہ ہم نے ان میں سے ایک مرد کو وحی بھیجی کہ لوگوں کو ڈر سناؤ (ف۲) اور ایمان والوں کو خوشخبری دو کہ ان کے لیے ان کے رب کے پاس سچ کا مقام ہے، کافر بولے بیشک یہ تو کھلا جادوگر ہے (ف۳)
10:2 إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ يُدَبِّرُ ٱلْأَمْرَ مَا مِن شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِۦ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٣
10:3
Ahmed Ali
Your Lord is God who created the heavens and the earth in six spans, then assumed His power, dispensing all affairs. None can intercede with Him except by His leave. He is God, your Lord, so worship Him. Will you not be warned?
Shakir
Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and He is firm in power, regulating the affair, there is no intercessor except aher His permission; this is Allah, your Lord, therefore serve Him; will you not then mind?

بیشک تمہارا رب اللہ ہے جس نے آسمان اور زمین چھ دن میں بنائے پھر عرش پر استوا فرمایا جیسا اس کی شان کے لائق ہے کام کی تدبیر فرما تا ہے (ف۴) کوئی سفارشی نہیں مگر اس کی اجازت کے بعد (ف۵) یہ ہے اللہ تمہارا رب (ف۶) تو اس کی بندگی کرو تو کیا تم دھیان نہیں کرتے،
10:3 إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقًّا إِنَّهُۥ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْفُرُونَ ٤
10:4
Ahmed Ali
To Him will you all return: God´s promise is true. It is He who originates creation, then will revert it, so that He may reward those who believe and do good things in all justice. But those who deny the truth will receive boiling water to drink and grievous punishment, for they disbelieved.
Shakir
To Him is your return, of all (of you); the promise of Allah (made) in truth; surely He begins the creation in the first instance, then He reproduces it, that He may with justice recompense those who believe and do good; and (as for) those who disbelieve, they shall have a drink of hot water and painful punishment because they disbelieved.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اسی کی طرف تم سب کو پھرنا ہے (ف۷) اللہ کا سچا وعدہ بیشک وہ پہلی بار بناتا ہے پھر فنا کے بعد دوبارہ بنائے گا کہ ان کو جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے انصاف کا صلہ دے (ف۸) اور کافروں کے لیے پینے کو کھولتا پانی اور دردناک عذاب بدلہ ان کے کفر کا،
10:4 هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلشَّمْسَ ضِيَآءً وَٱلْقَمَرَ نُورًا وَقَدَّرَهُۥ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا۟ عَدَدَ ٱلسِّنِينَ وَٱلْحِسَابَ مَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ يُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ ٥
10:5
Ahmed Ali
It is He who gave the sun its radiance, the moon its lustre, and appointed its stations so that you may compute years and numbers. God did not create them but with deliberation. He distinctly explains His signs for those who can understand.
Shakir
He it is Who made the sun a shining brightness and the moon a light, and ordained for it mansions that you might know the computation of years and the reckoning. Allah did not create it but with truth; He makes the signs manifest for a people who know.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہی ہے جس نے سورج کو جگمگاتا بنا یا اور چاند چمکتا اور اس کے لیے منزلیں ٹھہرائیں (ف۹) کہ تم برسوں کی گنتی اور (ف۱۰) حساب جانو، اللہ نے اسے نہ بنایا مگر حق (ف۱۱) نشانیاں مفصل بیان فرماتا ہے علم والوں کے لیے (ف۱۲)
10:5 إِنَّ فِى ٱخْتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَءَايَٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَّقُونَ ٦
10:6
Ahmed Ali
In the alternation of night and day, and all that He has created in the heavens and the earth, are certainly signs for people who fear God.
Shakir
Most surely in the variation of the night and the day, and what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth, there are signs for a people who guard (against evil).
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک رات اور دن کا بدلتا آنا اور جو کچھ اللہ نے آسمانوں اور زمین میں پیدا کیا ان میں نشانیاں ہیں ڈر والوں کے لیے،

Ahmed Ali
As for those who do not hope to meet Us (after death), and are content with the life of this world, who are oblivious of Our signs,
Shakir
Surely those who do not hope in Our meeting and are pleased with this world´s life and are content with it, and those who are heedless of Our communications:
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک وہ جو ہمارے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے (ف۱۳) اور دنیا کی زندگی پسند کر بیٹھے اور اس پر مطمئن ہوگئے (ف۱۴) اور وہ جو ہماری آیتوں سے غفلت کرتے ہیں (ف۱۵)
10:7 أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ٨
10:8
Ahmed Ali
Will have Hell as their abode for what they have earned.
Shakir
(As for) those, their abode is the fire because of what they earned.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ان لوگوں کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے بدلہ ان کی کمائی کا،
10:8 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ يَهْدِيهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِإِيمَٰنِهِمْ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهِمُ ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٩
10:9
Ahmed Ali
But those who believe and act for a beneficial end will be guided by their Lord for their good faith. At their feet shall flow streams of running water in gardens of delight.
Shakir
Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, their Lord will guide them by their faith; there shall flOw from beneath them rivers in gardens of bliss.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ان کا رب ان کے ایمان کے سبب انھیں راہ دے گا (ف۱۶) ان کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی نعمت کے باغوں میں،
10:9 دَعْوَىٰهُمْ فِيهَا سُبْحَٰنَكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ وَتَحِيَّتُهُمْ فِيهَا سَلَٰمٌ وَءَاخِرُ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ أَنِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٠١
10:10
Ahmed Ali
Their invocation will be: "All glory to you, O God," and "Peace" will be their salutation, and the end of their prayer (will be): "All praise be to God, the Lord of all the worlds."
Shakir
Their cry in it shall be: Glory to Thee, O Allah! and their greeting in it shall be: Peace; and the last of their cry shall be: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ان کی دعا اس میں یہ ہوگی کہ اللہ تجھے پاکی ہے (ف۱۷) اور ان کے ملتے وقت خوشی کا پہلا بول سلام ہے (ف۱۸) اور ان کی دعا کا خاتمہ یہ ہے کہ سب خوبیوں کو سراہا اللہ جو رب ہے سارے جہان کا (ف۱۹)
10:10 ۞ وَلَوْ يُعَجِّلُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ ٱلشَّرَّ ٱسْتِعْجَالَهُم بِٱلْخَيْرِ لَقُضِىَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَجَلُهُمْ فَنَذَرُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا فِى طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ١١
10:11
Ahmed Ali
If God were to hasten the evil, as men try to hasten the good, their term would come to end. So We leave those who do not expect to meet Us to wander perplexed in transgression.
Shakir
And if Allah should hasten the evil to men as they desire the hastening on of good, their doom should certainly have been decreed for them; but We leave those alone who hope not for Our meeting in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اگر اللہ لوگوں پر برائی ایسی جلدبھیجتا جیسی وہ بھلائی کی جلدی کرتے ہیں تو ان کا وعدہ پورا ہوچکا ہوتا (ف۲۰) تو ہم چھوڑتے انہیں جو ہم سے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے کہ اپنی سرکشی میں بھٹکا کریں (ف۲۱)
10:11 وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ٱلضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ أَوْ قَاعِدًا أَوْ قَآئِمًا فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّهُۥ مَرَّ كَأَن لَّمْ يَدْعُنَآ إِلَىٰ ضُرٍّ مَّسَّهُۥ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٢١
10:12
Ahmed Ali
When man is afflicted with adversity he calls to Us, whether lying on his side, or sitting or standing. But when We take away his troubles, he moves away, as though he had never called to Us in affliction. In the same way, attractive have been made their deeds to the prodigals.
Shakir
And when affliction touches a man, he calls on Us, whether lying on his side or sitting or standing; but when We remove his affliction from him, he passes on as though he had never called on Us on account of an affliction that touched him; thus that which they do is made fair-seeming to the extravagant.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب آدمی کو (ف۲۲) تکلیف پہنچتی ہے ہمیں پکارتا ہے لیٹے اور بیٹھے اور کھڑے (ف۲۳) پھر جب ہم اس کی تکلیف دور کردیتے ہیں چل دیتا ہے (ف۲۴) گویا کبھی کسی تکلیف کے پہنچنے پر ہمیں پکارا ہی نہ تھا یونہی بھلے کر دکھائے ہیں حد سے بڑھنے والے کو (ف۲۵) ان کے کام (ف۲۶)
10:12 وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْقُرُونَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا۟ وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ لِيُؤْمِنُوا۟ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ٣١
10:13
Ahmed Ali
How many generations did We lay low before you when they became wilfully unjust. Their apostles had brought clear proofs to them, yet they never believed. So We punished the sinful people.
Shakir
And certainly We did destroy generations before you when they were unjust, and their messengers had come to them with clear arguments, and they would not believe; thus do We recompense the guilty people.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے تم سے پہلی سنگتیں (قومیں) (ف۲۷) ہلاک فرمادیں جب وہ حد سے بڑھے (ف۲۸) اور ان کے رسول ان کے پاس روشن دلیلیں لے کر آئے (ف۲۹) اور وہ ایسے تھے ہی نہیں کہ ایمان لاتے، ہم یونہی بدلہ دیتے ہیں مجرموں کو،
10:13 ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَٰكُمْ خَلَٰٓئِفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ لِنَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ ٤١
10:14
Ahmed Ali
Then We appointed you leaders in the land after them to see how you behaved.
Shakir
Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may see how you act.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر ہم نے ان کے بعد تمہیں زمین میں جانشین کیا کہ دیکھیں تم کیسے کام کرتے ہو (ف۳۰)
