سورة الطارق
86:1
Ahmed Ali
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star --
Shakir
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night;
Ahmed Raza Khan
آسمان کی قسم اور رات کے آنے والے کی، ف۲)
86:1 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ ٢
86:2
Ahmed Ali
How will you comprehend what the night star is?
Shakir
And what will make you know what the comer by night is?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کچھ تم نے جا نا وه رات کو آنے والا کیا ہے،
86:2 ٱلنَّجْمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ ٣
86:3
Ahmed Ali
It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness --
Shakir
The star of piercing brightness;
Ahmed Raza Khan
خوب چمکتا تارا،
86:3 إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ ٤
86:4
Ahmed Ali
That over each soul there is a guardian.
Shakir
There is not a soul but over it is a keeper.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کوئی جان نہیں جس پر نگہبان نہ ہو (ف۳)
86:4 فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ ٥
86:5
Ahmed Ali
Let man consider what he was made of:
Shakir
So let man consider of what he is created:

تو چاہئے کہ آدمی غور کرے کہ کس چیز سے بنا یا گیا (ف۴)
86:5 خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٍ دَافِقٍ ٦
86:6
Ahmed Ali
He was created of spurting water
Shakir
He is created of water pouring forth,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جَست کرتے (اوچھلتے ہوئے) پانی سے، ف۵)
86:6 يَخْرُجُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ ٱلصُّلْبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ ٧
86:7
Ahmed Ali
Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs.
Shakir
Coming from between the back and the ribs.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو نکلتا ہے پیٹھ اور سینوں کے بیچ سے (ف۶)
86:7 إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٌ ٨
86:8
Ahmed Ali
God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead).
Shakir
Most surely He is able to return him (to life).
Ahmed Raza Khan
بے شک اللہ اس کے واپس کرینے پر(ف۷) قادر ہے
86:8 يَوْمَ تُبْلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ ٩
86:9
Ahmed Ali
The day all secrets are examined
Shakir
On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جس دن چھپی باتوں کی جانچ ہوگی (ف۸)
86:9 فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ ٠١
86:10
Ahmed Ali
He will have no strength or helper.
Shakir
He shall have neither strength nor helper.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو آدمی کے پاس نہ کچھ زور ہوگا نہ کوئی مددگار (ف۹)
86:10 وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجْعِ ١١
86:11
Ahmed Ali
So I call to witness the rain-producing sky,
Shakir
I swear by the raingiving heavens,
Ahmed Raza Khan
آسمان کی قسم! جس سے مینھ اترتا ہے (ف۱۰)
86:11 وَٱلْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدْعِ ٢١
86:12
Ahmed Ali
And the earth which opens up (with verdure),
Shakir
And the earth splitting (with plants);
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور زمین کی جو اس سے کھلتی ہے (ف۱۱)
86:12 إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ ٣١
86:13
Ahmed Ali
That this (Qur´an) is a decisive word
Shakir
Most surely it is a decisive word,

بیشک قرآن ضرور فیصلہ کی بات ہے (ف۱۲)
86:13 وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلْهَزْلِ ٤١
86:14
Ahmed Ali
And no trifle.
Shakir
And it is no joke.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کوئی ہنسی کی بات نہیں (ف۱۳)
86:14 إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ٥١
86:15
Ahmed Ali
They are hatching up a plot,
Shakir
Surely they will make a scheme,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک کافر اپنا سا داؤ چلتے ہیں (ف۱۴)
86:15 وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا ٦١
86:16
Ahmed Ali
But I too am devising a plan.
Shakir
And I (too) will make a scheme.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور میں اپنی خفیہ تدبیر فرماتا ہوں (ف۱۵)
86:16 فَمَهِّلِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًۢا ٧١
86:17
Ahmed Ali
So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while.
Shakir
So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a

تو تم کافروں کو ڈھیل دو (ف۱۶) انہیں کچھ تھوڑی مہلت دو (ف۱۷)
86:17 سورة الأعلى
87:1
Ahmed Ali
GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high,
Shakir
Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اپنے رب کے نام کی پاکی بولو جب سے بلند ہے (ف۲)
87:1 ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ٢
87:2
Ahmed Ali
Who creates and proportions,
Shakir
Who creates, then makes complete,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جس نے بناکر ٹھیک کیا (ف۳)
87:2 وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ٣
87:3
Ahmed Ali
Who determines and directs,
Shakir
And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal),
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جس نے اندازہ پر رکھ کر راہ دی (ف۴)
87:3 وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ ٤
87:4
Ahmed Ali
Who brings out the pastures
Shakir
And Who brings forth herbage,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جس نے چارہ نکالا،
87:4 فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ ٥
87:5
Ahmed Ali
Then reduces them to rusty rubbish.
Shakir
Then makes it dried up, dust-colored.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر اسے خشک سیاہ کردیا،
87:5 سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ ٦
87:6
Ahmed Ali
We shall make you recite (the Qur´an) so that you will not forget it,
Shakir
We will make you recite so you shall not forget,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اب ہم تمہیں پڑھائیں گے کہ تم نہ بھولو گے
87:6 إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ ٧
87:7
Ahmed Ali
Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden.
Shakir
Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden.
Ahmed Raza Khan
مگر جو اللہ چاہے (ف۶) بیشک وہ جانتا ہے ہر کھلے اور چھپے کو،
87:7 وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٨
87:8
Ahmed Ali
We shall take you slowly towards ease.
Shakir
And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم تمہارے لیے آسانی کا سامان کردیں گے (ف۷)
87:8 فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ ٩
87:9
Ahmed Ali
So remind them if reminder is profitable:
Shakir
Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو تم نصیحت فرماؤ (ف۸) اگر نصیحت کام دے (ف۹)
87:9 سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ ٠١
87:10
Ahmed Ali
Those who fear will understand.
Shakir
He who fears will mind,
Ahmed Raza Khan
عنقریب نصیحت مانے گا جو ڈرتا ہے (ف۱۰)
87:10 وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى ١١
87:11
Ahmed Ali
Only the wretch will turn aside,
Shakir
And the most unfortunate one will avoid it,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس (ف۱۱) سے وہ بڑا بدبخت دور رہے گا،
87:11 ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ٢١
87:12
Ahmed Ali
Who will burn in the terrible Fire,
Shakir
Who shall enter the great fire;
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو سب سے بڑی آگ میں جائے گا (ف۱۲)
87:12 ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ ٣١
87:13
Ahmed Ali
In which he will neither die nor live.
Shakir
Then therein he shall neither live nor die.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر نہ اس میں مرے (ف۱۳) اور نہ جیے (ف۱۴)
87:13 قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ٤١
87:14
Ahmed Ali
Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness,
Shakir
He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک مراد کو پہنچا جو ستھرا ہوا (ف۱۵)
87:14 وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ٥١
87:15
Ahmed Ali
And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion.
Shakir
And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays.

اور اپنے رب کا نام لے کر (ف۱۶) نماز پڑھی (ف۱۷)
87:15

But no, you prefer the life of the world,

Nay! you prefer the life of this world,

بلکہ تم جیتی دنیا کو ترجیح دیتے ہو (ف۱۸)
87:16 وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ ٧١
87:17
Ahmed Ali
Though the life to come is better and abiding.
Shakir
While the hereafter is better and more lasting.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور آخرت بہتر اور باقی رہنے والی،
87:17 إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ٨١
87:18
Ahmed Ali
This is surely in the earlier Books,
Shakir
Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures,

بیشک یہ (ف۱۹) اگلے صحیفوں میں ہے (ف۲۰)
87:18 صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ٩١

Ahmed Ali
The Books of Abraham and Moses.
Shakir
The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa.

ابراہیم اور موسیٰ کے صحیفوں میں،
87:19 سورة الغاشية
88:1
Ahmed Ali
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you?
Shakir
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity?
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک تمہارے پاس (ف۲) اس مصیبت کی خبر آئی جو چھا جائے گی (ف۳)
88:1 وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَٰشِعَةٌ ٢
88:2
Ahmed Ali
Many faces will be contrite on that day,
Shakir
(Some) faces on that day shall be downcast,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کتنے ہی منہ اس دن ذلیل ہوں گے،
88:2 عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ٣
88:3
Ahmed Ali
Labouring, wearied out,
Shakir
Laboring, toiling,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کام کریں مشقت جھیلیں،
88:3 تَصْلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً ٤
88:4
Ahmed Ali
Burning in the scorching fire,
Shakir
Entering into burning fire,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جائیں بھڑکتی آگ میں (ف۴)
88:4 تُسْقَىٰ مِنْ عَيْنٍ ءَانِيَةٍ ٥
88:5
Ahmed Ali
Given water from the boiling spring to drink.
Shakir
Made to drink from a boiling spring.
Ahmed Raza Khan
نہایت جلتے چشمہ کا پانی پلائے جائیں،
88:5 لَّيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ ٦
88:6
Ahmed Ali
They will have no food except bitter thorn,
Shakir
They shall have no food but of thorns,
Ahmed Raza Khan
ان کے لیے کچھ کھانا نہیں مگر آگ کے کانٹے (ف۵)
88:6 لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِن جُوعٍ ٧
88:7
Ahmed Ali
Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger.
Shakir
Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کہ نہ فربہی لائیں اور نہ بھوک میں کام دیں (ف۶)
88:7 وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ ٨
88:8
Ahmed Ali
Many faces will be joyous on that day,
Shakir
(Other) faces on that day shall be happy,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کتنے ہی منہ اس دن چین میں ہیں (ف۷)
88:8 لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ ٩
88:9
Ahmed Ali
Well-pleased with their endeavour,
Shakir
Well-pleased because of their striving,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اپنی کوشش پر راضی (ف۸)
88:9 فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ ٠١
88:10
Ahmed Ali
In the high empyrean,
Shakir
In a lofty garden,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بلند باغ میں،
88:10 لَّا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَٰغِيَةً ١١
88:11
Ahmed Ali
Never hearing idle talk.
Shakir
Wherein you shall not hear vain talk.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کہ اس میں کوئی بیہودہ بات نہ سنیں گے،
88:11 فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ ٢١
88:12
Ahmed Ali
There is a stream of running water in it;
Shakir
Therein is a fountain flowing,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس میں رواں چشمہ ہے،
88:12 فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَّرْفُوعَةٌ ٣١
88:13
Ahmed Ali
And within it are couches placed on high,
Shakir
Therein are thrones raised high,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس میں بلند تخت ہیں،
88:13 وَأَكْوَابٌ مَّوْضُوعَةٌ ٤١
88:14
Ahmed Ali
Goblets set,
Shakir
And drinking-cups ready placed,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور چنے ہوئے کوزے (ف۹)
88:14 وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ ٥١
88:15
Ahmed Ali
Cushions arranged,
Shakir
And cushions set in a row,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور برابر برابر بچھے ہوئے قالین
88:15 وَزَرَابِىُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ ٦١
88:16
Ahmed Ali
And rich carpets spread.
Shakir
And carpets spread out.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور پھیلی ہوئی چاندنیاں (ف۱۰)
88:16 أَفَلَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَى ٱلْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ ٧١
88:17
Ahmed Ali
Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed;
Shakir
Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created?
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو کیا اونٹ کو نہیں دیکھتے کیسا بنایا گیا،
88:17 وَإِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ ٨١
88:18
Ahmed Ali
And the heavens, how it was raised high;
Shakir
And the heaven, how it is reared aloft,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور آسمان کو کیسا اونچا کیا گیا (ف۱۱)
88:18 وَإِلَى ٱلْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ ٩١
88:19
Ahmed Ali
And the mountains, how they were fixed;
Shakir
And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور پہاڑوں کو، کیسے قائم کیے گئے،
88:19 وَإِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ ٠٢
88:20
Ahmed Ali
And the earth, how it was spread out?
Shakir
And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse?
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور زمین کو، کیسے بچھائی گئی،
88:20 فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ ١٢
88:21
Ahmed Ali
Remind them; you are surely a reminder.
Shakir
Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder.

تو تم نصیحت سناؤ (ف۱۲) تم تو یہی نصیحت سنانے والے ہو،
88:21 لَّسْتَ عَلَيْهِم بِمُصَيْطِرٍ ٢٢
88:22
Ahmed Ali
You are not a warden over them,
Shakir
You are not a watcher over them;
Ahmed Raza Khan
تم کچھ ان پر کڑ وڑا (ضامن) نہیں (ف۱۳)
88:22 إِلَّا مَن تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ ٣٢
88:23
Ahmed Ali
Other than him who turns his back and denies,
Shakir
But whoever turns back and disbelieves,
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہاں جو منہ پھیرے (ف۱۴) اور کفر کرے (ف۱۵)
88:23 فَيُعَذِّبُهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَكْبَرَ ٤٢
88:24
Ahmed Ali
In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment.
Shakir
Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اسے اللہ بڑا عذاب دے گا (ف۱۶)
88:24 إِنَّ إِلَيْنَآ إِيَابَهُمْ ٥٢
88:25
Ahmed Ali
To Us is surely their returning;
Shakir
Surely to Us is their turning back,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک ہماری ہی طرف ان کا پھرنا (ف۱۷)
88:25 ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُم ٦٢
88:26
Ahmed Ali
Ours is surely then to reckon with them.

Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account.

پھر بیشک ہماری ہی طرف ان کا حساب ہے،
