Ahmed Ali
As for those who preserve themselves from evil and follow the straight path, there is attainment for them:

Surely for those who guard (against evil) is achievement,

بیشک ڈر والوں کو کامیابی کی جگہ ہے (ف۲۵)
78:31 حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعْنَٰبًا ٢٣

Ahmed Ali
Orchards and vineyards,
Shakir
Gardens and vineyards,
Ahmed Raza Khan
باغ ہیں (ف۲۶) اور انگور،
78:32 وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا ٣٣
78:33
Ahmed Ali
And graceful maidens of the same age,
Shakir
And voluptuous women of equal age;
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اٹھتے جوبن والیاں ایک عمر کی،
78:33 وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا ٤٣
78:34
Ahmed Ali
And flasks full and flowing.
Shakir
And a pure cup.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور چھلکتا جام (ف۲۷)
78:34 لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّٰبًا ٥٣
78:35
Ahmed Ali
They will hear no blasphemies there or disavowals:
Shakir
They shall not hear therein any vain words nor lying.

جس میں نہ کوئی بیہودہ بات سنیں نہ جھٹلانا (ف۲۸)
78:35 جَزَآءً مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًا ٦٣
78:36
Ahmed Ali
A recompense from your Lord, a sufficient gift,
Shakir
A reward from your Lord, a gift according to a reckoning:
Ahmed Raza Khan
صلہ تمہارے رب کی طرف سے (ف۲۹) نہایت کافی عطا،
78:36 رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا ٧٣
78:37
Ahmed Ali
The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, most benevolent, to whom none may dare address a word.
Shakir
The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Beneficent Allah, they shall not be able to address Him.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ جو رب ہے آسمانوں کا اور زمین کا اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے رحمن کہ اس سے بات کرنے کا اختیار نہ رکھیں گے (ف۳۰)
78:37 يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّا لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا ٨٣
78:38
Ahmed Ali
The day the Spirit takes its stand, with the angels ranged in rows. None will speak except who is permitted by Ar-Rahman and says what is right.
Shakir
The day on which the spirit and the angels shall stand in ranks; they shall not speak except he whom the Beneficent Allah permits and who speaks the right thing.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جس دن جبریل کھڑا ہوگا اور سب فرشتے پرا باندھے (صفیں بنائے) کوئی نہ بول سکے گا (ف۳۱) مگر جسے رحمن نے اذن دیا (ف۳۲) اور اس نے ٹھیک بات کہی (ف۳۳)
78:38 ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا ٩٣
78:39
Ahmed Ali
That day is certain. So whosoever likes may prepare a way to his Lord.
Shakir
That is the sure day, so whoever desires may take refuge with his Lord.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ سچا دن ہے اب جو چاہے اپنے رب کی طرف راہ بنالے (ف۳۴)
78:39 إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٰبًۢا ٠٤
78:40
Ahmed Ali
We have indeed warned you of a calamity near at hand, a day when man will see what he had sent (of his deeds) ahead, and the unbeliever will say: "Woe alas. Ah would that I were dust!"
Shakir
Surely We have warned you of a chastisement near at hand: the day when man shall see what his two hands have sent before, and the unbeliever shall say: O! would that I were dust!

ہم تمہیں (ف۳۵) ایک عذاب سے ڈراتے ہیں کہ نزدیک آگیا (ف۳۶) جس دن آدمی دیکھے گا جو کچھ اس کے ہاتھوں نے آگے بھیجا (ف۳۷) اور کافر کہے گا ہائے میں کسی طرح خاک ہوجاتا (ف۳۸)
78:40 سورة النازعات
79:1
Ahmed Ali
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag,
Shakir
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked,
Ahmed Raza Khan
قسم ان کی (ف۲) کہ سختی سے جان کھینچیں (ف۳)
79:1 وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ نَشْطًا ٢
79:2
Ahmed Ali
And those who undo the bonds gently,
Shakir
And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور نرمی سے بند کھولیں) (ف۴)
79:2 وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ سَبْحًا ٣
79:3
Ahmed Ali
And those who glide swimmingly,
Shakir
And by those who float in space,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور آسانی سے پیریں (ف۵)
79:3 فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ سَبْقًا ٤
79:4
Ahmed Ali
Then outpace the others swiftly
Shakir
Then those who are foremost going ahead,
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر آگے بڑھ کر جلد پہنچیں (ف۶)
79:4 فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ أَمْرًا ٥
79:5
Ahmed Ali
And direct affairs by command,
Shakir
Then those who regulate the affair.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر کام کی تدبیر کریں (ف۷)
79:5 يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ ٦
79:6
Ahmed Ali
The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively
Shakir
The day on which the quaking one shall quake,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کہ کافروں پر ضرور عذاب ہوگا جس دن تھر تھرائے گی تھرتھرانے والی (ف۸)
79:6 تَتْبَعُهَا ٱلرَّادِفَةُ ٧
79:7
Ahmed Ali
Followed by the second blast,
Shakir
What must happen afterwards shall follow it.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس کے پیچھے آئے گی پیچھے آنے والی (ف۹)
79:7 قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ ٨
79:8
Ahmed Ali
Hearts will pound loudly on that day,
Shakir
Hearts on that day shall palpitate,
Ahmed Raza Khan
کتنے دل اس دن دھڑکتے ہوں گے،
79:8 أَبْصَٰرُهَا خَٰشِعَةٌ ٩
79:9
Ahmed Ali
Eyes be lowered in submission.
Shakir
Their eyes cast down.
Ahmed Raza Khan
آنکھ اوپر نہ اٹھا سکیں گے (ف۱۰)
79:9 يَقُولُونَ أَءِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِى ٱلْحَافِرَةِ ٠١
79:10
Ahmed Ali
They say: "Shall we go back to our original state
Shakir
They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state?
Ahmed Raza Khan
کافر (ف۱۱) کہتے ہیں کیا ہم پھر الٹے پاؤں پلٹیں گے (ف۱۲)
79:10 أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَٰمًا نَّخِرَةً ١١
79:11
Ahmed Ali
After having turned to carious bones?"
Shakir
What! when we are rotten bones?
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا ہم جب گلی ہڈیاں ہوجائیں گے (ف۱۳)
79:11 قَالُوا۟ تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ ٢١
79:12
Ahmed Ali
They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss."
Shakir
They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بولے یوں تو یہ پلٹنا تو نرا نقصان ہے (ف۱۴)
79:12 فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌ وَٰحِدَةٌ ٣١
79:13
Ahmed Ali
It will only be a single blast,
Shakir
But it shall be only a single cry,
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو وہ (ف۱۵) نہیں مگر ایک جھڑکی (ف۱۶)
79:13 فَإِذَا هُم بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ ٤١
79:14
Ahmed Ali
And they will wake up suddenly.
Shakir
When lo! they shall be wakeful.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جبھی وہ کھلے میدان میں آپڑے ہوں گے (ف۱۷)
79:14 هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰٓ ٥١
79:15
Ahmed Ali
Has the story of Moses come to you
Shakir
Has not there come to you the story of Musa?

کیا تمہیں موسیٰ کی خبر آئی (ف۱۸)

When his Lord called to him in Tuwa´s holy vale?
Shakir
When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب اسے اس کے رب نے پاک جنگل طویٰ میں (ف۱۹) ندا فرمائی،
79:16 ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ ٧١
79:17
Ahmed Ali
"Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory,
Shakir
Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کہ فرعون کے پاس جا اس نے سر اٹھایا (ف۲۰)
79:17 فَقُلْ هَل لَّكَ إِلَىٰٓ أَن تَزَكَّىٰ ٨١
79:18
Ahmed Ali
And say: ´Would you like to grow (in virtue)?
Shakir
Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself:
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس سے کہہ کیا تجھے رغبت اس طرف ہے کہ ستھرا ہو (ف۲۱)
79:18 وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَىٰ ٩١
79:19
Ahmed Ali
Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.´"
Shakir
And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور تجھے تیرے رب کی طرف (ف۲۲) راہ بتاؤں کہ تو ڈرے (ف۲۳)
79:19 فَأَرَىٰهُ ٱلْءَايَةَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ٠٢
79:20
Ahmed Ali
So he showed him the greater sign;
Shakir
So he showed him the mighty sign.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر موسیٰ نے اسے بہت بڑی نشانی دکھائی (ف۲۴)
79:20 فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَىٰ ١٢
79:21
Ahmed Ali
But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed.
Shakir
But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس پر اس نے جھٹلایا (ف۲۵) اور نافرمانی کی،
79:21 ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَىٰ ٢٢
79:22
Ahmed Ali
Then he turned away, deliberating,
Shakir
Then he went back hastily.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر پیٹھ دی (ف۲۶) اپنی کوشش میں لگا (ف۲۷)
79:22 فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَىٰ ٣٢
79:23
Ahmed Ali
And assembled (his council) and proclaimed,
Shakir
Then he gathered (men) and called out.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو لوگوں کو جمع کیا (ف۲۸) پھر پکارا،
79:23 فَقَالَ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ ٤٢
79:24
Ahmed Ali
Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all."
Shakir
Then he said: I am your lord, the most high.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر بولا میں تمہارا سب سے اونچا رب ہوں (ف۲۹)
79:24 فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ ٥٢
79:25
Ahmed Ali
So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world.
Shakir
So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اللہ نے اسے دنیا و آخرت دونوں کے عذاب میں پکڑا (ف۳۰)
79:25 إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِّمَن يَخْشَىٰٓ ٦٢
79:26
Ahmed Ali
Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences).
Shakir
Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک اس میں سیکھ ملتا ہے اسے جو ڈرے (ف۳۱)
79:26 ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بَنَىٰهَا ٧٢
79:27
Ahmed Ali
Are you more difficult to create or the heavens? He built it,
Shakir
Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا تمہاری سمجھ کے مطابق تمہارا بنانا (ف۳۲) مشکل یا آسمان کا اللہ نے اسے بنایا،
79:27 رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّىٰهَا ٨٢
79:28
Ahmed Ali
Raised it high, proportioned it,
Shakir
He raised high its height, then put it into a right good state.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس کی چھت اونچی کی (ف۳۳) پھر اسے ٹھیک کیا (ف۳۴)
79:28 وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَىٰهَا ٩٢
79:29
Ahmed Ali
Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day;
Shakir
And He made dark its night and brought out its light.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس کی رات اندھیری کی اور اس کی روشنی چمکائی (ف۳۵)
79:29 وَٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَىٰهَآ ٠٣
79:30
Ahmed Ali
And afterwards spread out the earth.
Shakir
And the earth, He expanded it after that.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس کے بعد زمین پھیلائی (ف۳۶)
79:30 أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَآءَهَا وَمَرْعَىٰهَا ١٣
79:31
Ahmed Ali
He brought out its water and its pastures from it,
Shakir
He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس میں سے (ف۳۷) اس کا پانی اور چارہ نکا لا (ف۳۸)
79:31 وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَرْسَىٰهَا ٢٣
79:32
Ahmed Ali
And stabilized the mountains
Shakir
And the mountains, He made them firm,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور پہاڑوں کو جمایا (ف۳۹)
79:32 مَتَٰعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ ٣٣
79:33
Ahmed Ali
As convenience for you and your cattle.
Shakir
A provision for you and for your cattle.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تمہارے اور تمہارے چوپایوں کے فائدہ کو،
79:33 فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلطَّآمَّةُ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ ٤٣
79:34
Ahmed Ali
When the great calamity comes,
Shakir
But when the great predominating calamity comes;
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر جب آئے گی وہ عام مصیبت سب سے بڑی (ف۴۰)
79:34 يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا سَعَىٰ ٥٣
79:35
Ahmed Ali
The day when man remembers all that he had done,
Shakir
The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس دن آدمی یاد کرے گا جو کوشش کی تھی (ف۴۱)
79:35 وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِمَن يَرَىٰ ٦٣
79:36
Ahmed Ali
And Hell made visible to him who can see,
Shakir
And the hell shall be made manifest to him who sees
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جہنم ہر دیکھنے والے پر ظاہر کی جائے گی (ف۴۲)
79:36 فَأَمَّا مَن طَغَىٰ ٧٣
79:37
Ahmed Ali
Then he who had been rebellious
Shakir
Then as for him who is inordinate,
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو وہ جس نے سرکشی کی (ف۴۳)
79:37 وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ٨٣
79:38
Ahmed Ali
And who preferred the life of the world,
Shakir
And prefers the life of this world,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور دنیا کی زندگی کو ترجیح دی (ف۴۴)
79:38 فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ ٩٣
79:39
Ahmed Ali
Will surely have Hell for his abode.
Shakir
Then surely the hell, that is the abode.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو بیشک جہنم ہی اس کا ٹھکانا ہے،
79:39 وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ وَنَهَى ٱلنَّفْسَ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰ ٠٤
79:40
Ahmed Ali
But he who feared standing before his Lord, and restrained his self from vain desires,
Shakir
And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور وہ جو اپنے رب کے حضور کھڑے ہونے سے ڈرا (ف۴۵) اور نفس کو خواہش سے روکا (ف۴۶)
79:40 فَإِنَّ ٱلْجَنَّةَ هِىَ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ ١٤
79:41
Ahmed Ali
Will surely have Paradise for abode.
Shakir
Then surely the garden-- that is the abode.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو بیشک جنت ہی ٹھکانا ہے (ف۴۷)
79:41 يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا ٢٤
79:42
Ahmed Ali
They ask you: "When will the Hour be? When is its time fixed?"
Shakir
They ask you about the hour, when it will come.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تم سے قیامت کو پوچھتے ہیں کہ وہ کب کے لیے ٹھہری ہوئی ہے،
79:42 فِيمَ أَنتَ مِن ذِكْرَىٰهَآ ٣٤
79:43
Ahmed Ali
What do you have to do with explaining it?
Shakir
About what! You are one to remind of it.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تمہیں اس کے بیان سے کیا تعلق (ف۴۸)
79:43 إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ مُنتَهَىٰهَآ ٤٤
79:44
Ahmed Ali
The extent of its knowledge goes to your Lord.
Shakir
To your Lord is the goal of it.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تمہارے رب ہی تک اس کی انتہا ہے،
79:44 إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰهَا ٥٤
79:45
Ahmed Ali
Your duty is only to warn him who fears it.
Shakir
You are only a warner to him who would fear it.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تم تو فقط اسے ڈرا نے والے ہو جو اس سے ڈرے،
79:45 كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَىٰهَا ٦٤
79:46
Ahmed Ali
The day they see it, it will seem they had stayed in the world but only an evening or its turning into dawn.
Shakir
On the day that they see it, it will be as though they had not tarried but the latter part of a day or the early part of it.

گویا جس دن وہ اسے دیکھیں گے (ف۴۹) دنیا میں نہ رہے تھے مگر ایک شام یا اس کے دن چڑھے،
