And bow in homage part of the night, and glorify Him far into the night.

And during part of the night adore Him, and give glory to Him (a) long (part of the) night.

اور کچھ میں اسے سجدہ کرو (ف۴۳) اور بڑی رات تک اس کی پاکی بولو (ف۴۴)
76:26 إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ يُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَآءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا ٧٢
76:27
Ahmed Ali
Surely men love what hastes away and forget the grievous day (ahead).
Shakir
Surely these love the transitory and neglect a grievous day before them.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک یہ لوگ (ف۴۵) پاؤں تلے کی (دنیاوی فائدے کو) عزیز رکھتے ہیں (ف۴۶) اور اپنے پیچھے ایک بھاری دن کو چھوڑ بیٹھے ہیں (ف۴۷)
76:27 نَّحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَآ أَسْرَهُمْ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَآ أَمْثَٰلَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا ٨٢
76:28
Ahmed Ali
We created them and fixed their bones and joints; and We could replace them when We like with others like them.
Shakir
We created them and made firm their make, and when We please We will bring in their place the likes of them by a change.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہم نے انہیں پیدا کیا اور ان کے جوڑ بند مضبوط کیے اور ہم جب چاہیں (ف۴۸) ان جیسے اور بدل دیں (ف۴۹)
76:28 إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦ تَذْكِرَةٌ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًا ٩٢
76:29
Ahmed Ali
This surely is a reminder: Therefore whosoever desires may take the way to his Lord.
Shakir
Surely this is a reminder, so whoever pleases takes to his Lord a way.

بیشک یہ نصیحت ہے (ف۵۰) تو جو چاہے اپنے رب کی طرف راہ لے (ف۵۱)
76:29 وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا ٠٣
76:30
Ahmed Ali
But you will not desire except as God wills. Verily He is all-knowing and all-wise.
Shakir
And you do not please except that Allah please, surely Allah is Knowing, Wise;

اور تم کیا چاہو مگر یہ کہ اللہ چاہے (ف۵۲) بیشک وہ علم و حکمت والا ہے،
76:30 يُدْخِلُ مَن يَشَآءُ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ وَٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۢا ١٣
76:31
Ahmed Ali
He admits whosoever He will to His benevolence. But for the evil-doers He has prepared a painful punishment.
Shakir
He makes whom He pleases to enter into His mercy; and (as for) the unjust, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement.

اپنی رحمت میں لیتا ہے (ف۵۳) جسے چاہے (ف۵۴) اور ظالموں کے لیے اس نے دردناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے (ف۵۵)

77:1
Ahmed Ali
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively,
Shakir
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men´s benefit),
Ahmed Raza Khan
قسم ان کی جو بھیجی جاتی ہیں لگاتار (ف۲)
77:1 فَٱلْعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصْفًا ٢
77:2
Ahmed Ali
And those that strike violently,
Shakir
By the raging hurricanes,
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر زور سے جھونکا دینے والیاں،
77:2 وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشْرًا ٣
77:3
Ahmed Ali
And those that revive by quickening,
Shakir
Which scatter clouds to their destined places,
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر ابھار کر اٹھانے والیاں (ف۳)
77:3 فَٱلْفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرْقًا ٤
77:4
Ahmed Ali
And those that distinguish distinctly,
Shakir
Then separate them one from another,
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر حق ناحق کو خوب جدا کرنے والیاں،
77:4 فَٱلْمُلْقِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا ٥
77:5
Ahmed Ali
And those that bring down the Reminder
Shakir
Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation,

پھر ان کی قسم جو ذکر کا لقا کرتی ہیں (ف۴)
77:5 عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا ٦

To end all argument or to warn.
Shakir
To clear or to warn.

حجت تمام کرنے یا ڈرانے کو،
77:6 إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٌ ٧
77:7
Ahmed Ali
What is promised will surely come to pass.
Shakir
Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass.

بیشک جس بات کا تم وعدہ دیے جاتے ہو (ف۵) ضرور ہونی ہے (ف۶)
77:7 فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ ٨

When the stars are obliterated,

So when the stars are made to lose their light,

پھر جب تارے محو کردیے جائیں،
77:8 وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتْ ٩

Ahmed Ali
The heavens split asunder,
Shakir
And when the heaven is rent asunder,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب آسمان میں رخنے پڑیں،
77:9 وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ ٠١

Ahmed Ali
The mountains reduced to dust and blown away,
Shakir
And when the mountains are carried away as dust,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب پہاڑ غبار کرکے اڑا دیے جا ئیں،
77:10 وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ ١١

Ahmed Ali
And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) --

And when the messengers are gathered at their appointed time

اور جب رسولوں کا وقت آئے (ف۷)
77:11 لِأَىِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ ٢١

For what day is that time fixed?
Shakir
To what day is the doom fixed?

کس دن کے لیے ٹھہرائے گئے تھے،
77:12 لِيَوْمِ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٣١

The Day of Judgement.
Shakir
To the day of decision.

روز فیصلہ کے لیے،
77:13 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٤١

How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is?

And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is?

اور تو کیا جانے وہ روز فیصلہ کیا ہے (ف۸)
77:14 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٥١
77:15
Ahmed Ali
Alas the woe that day for those who deny!
Shakir
Woe on that day to the rejecters.

جھٹلانے والوں کی اس دن خرابی (ف۹)
77:15 أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٦١
77:16
Ahmed Ali
Have We not destroyed the earlier generations?
Shakir
Did We not destroy the former generations?
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا ہم نے اگلوں کو ہلاک نہ فرمایا (ف۱۰)
77:16 ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ٧١
77:17
Ahmed Ali
So shall We make the later ones to follow them.
Shakir
Then did We follow them up with later ones.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر پچھلوں کو ان کے پیچھے پہنچائیں گے (ف۱۱)
77:17 كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ٨١
77:18
Ahmed Ali
That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime.
Shakir
Even thus shall We deal with the guilty.

مجرموں کے ساتھ ہم ایسا ہی کرتے ہیں،
77:18 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٩١

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe on that day to the rejecters.

77:20 فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ فِى قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ ١٢

Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb)

Then We placed it in a secure resting-place,

پھر اسے ایک محفوظ جگہ میں رکھا (ف۱۳)
77:21 إِلَىٰ قَدَرٍ مَّعْلُومٍ ٢٢
77:22
Ahmed Ali
For a certain appointed time,

Till an appointed term,

ایک معلوم اندازہ تک (ف۱۴)
77:22 فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْقَٰدِرُونَ ٣٢
77:23
Ahmed Ali
Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate!
Shakir
So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things).

پھر ہم نے اندازہ فرمایا، تو ہم کیا ہی اچھے قادر (ف۱۵)
77:23 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٢

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe on that day to the rejecters.

اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی خرابی،
77:24 أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا ٥٢

Ahmed Ali
Have We not made the earth a repository
Shakir
Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself,

کیا ہم نے زمین کو جمع کرنے والی نہ کیا،
77:25 أَحْيَآءً وَأَمْوَٰتًا ٦٢

For the living and the dead,
Shakir
The living and the dead,

تمہارے زندوں اور مردوں کی (ف۱۶)
77:26 وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ شَٰمِخَٰتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُم مَّآءً فُرَاتًا ٧٢
77:27
Ahmed Ali
And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink?
Shakir
And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water?

اور ہم نے اس میں اونچے اونچے لنگر ڈالے (ف۱۷) اور ہم نے تمہیں خوب میٹھا پانی پلایا (ف۱۸)
77:27 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٨٢
77:28
Ahmed Ali
Alas the woe that day for those who deny!
Shakir
Woe on that day to the rejecters.

اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی خرابی (ف۱۹)
77:28 ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ٩٢
77:29
Ahmed Ali
"Go to what you used to deny;
Shakir
Walk on to that which you called a lie.
Ahmed Raza Khan
چلو اس کی طرف (ف۲۰) جسے جھٹلاتے تھے،
77:29 ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِى ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٍ ٠٣
77:30
Ahmed Ali
Go to the shadow with three ramifications,
Shakir
Walk on to the covering having three branches,
Ahmed Raza Khan
چلو اس دھوئیں کے سائے کی طرف جس کی تین شاخیں (ف۲۱)
77:30 لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ ١٣
77:31
Ahmed Ali
Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire.
Shakir
Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame.
Ahmed Raza Khan
نہ سایہ دے (ف۲۲) نہ لپٹ سے بچائے (ف۲۳)
77:31 إِنَّهَا تَرْمِى بِشَرَرٍ كَٱلْقَصْرِ ٢٣
77:32
Ahmed Ali
It will throw out sparks as logs of wood
Shakir
Surely it sends up sparks like palaces,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک دوزخ چنگاریاں اڑاتی ہے (ف۲۴)
77:32 كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٌ صُفْرٌ ٣٣
77:33
Ahmed Ali
So like golden camels."
Shakir
As if they were tawny camels.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جیسے اونچے محل گویا وہ زرد رنگ کے اونٹ ہیں،
77:33 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٣
77:34
Ahmed Ali
Alas the woe that day for those who deny!
Shakir
Woe on that day to the rejecters.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی خرابی،
77:34 هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ ٥٣
77:35
Ahmed Ali
They will not be able to speak that day,
Shakir
This is the day on which they shall not speak,
Ahmed Raza Khan
یہ دن ہے کہ وہ بول نہ سکیں گے (ف۲۵)
77:35 وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ ٦٣
77:36
Ahmed Ali
Nor given leave to make excuses.
Shakir
And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses.

اور نہ انہیں اجازت ملے کہ عذر کریں (ف۲۶)
77:36 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٧٣
77:37
Ahmed Ali
Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe on that day to the rejecters.

اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی خرابی،
77:37 هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَٰكُمْ وَٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٨٣
77:38
Ahmed Ali
That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations).
Shakir
This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore.

یہ ہے فیصلہ کا دن، ہم نے تمہیں جمع کیا (ف۲۷) اور سب اگلوں کو (ف۲۸)
77:38 فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ ٩٣
77:39
Ahmed Ali
So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it.
Shakir
So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now).
Ahmed Raza Khan
اب اگر تمہارا کوئی داؤ ہو تو مجھ پر چل لو (ف۲۹)
77:39 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٠٤
77:40
Ahmed Ali
Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe on that day to the rejecters.

اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی خرابی،
77:40 إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ وَعُيُونٍ ١٤

Ahmed Ali
Those who take heed for themselves and fear God, will be amidst shade and springs of water,
Shakir
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be amid shades and fountains,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک ڈر والے (ف۳۰) سایوں اور چشموں میں ہیں،
77:41 وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ٢٤
77:42
Ahmed Ali
And such fruits as they desire.
Shakir
And fruits such as they desire.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور میووں میں جو ان کا جی چاہے (ف۳۱)
77:42 كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٣٤
77:43
Ahmed Ali
"Eat and drink with relish as reward for what you had done."
Shakir
Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you did.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کھاؤ اور پیو رچتا ہوا (ف۳۲) اپنے اعمال کا صلہ (ف۳۳)
77:43 إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ٤٤
77:44
Ahmed Ali
That is how We reward the good.
Shakir
Surely thus do We reward the doers of good.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک نیکوں کو ہم ایسا ہی بدلہ دیتے ہیں،
77:44 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٥٤

Ahmed Ali
Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe on that day to the rejecters.

اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی خرابی (ف۳۴)
77:45 كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ ٦٤

Eat and enjoy for a while: You are certainly sinners.
Shakir
Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are guilty.

کچھ دن کھالو اور برت لو (ف۳۵) ضرور تم مجرم ہو (ف۳۶)
77:46 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٧٤

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe on that day to the rejecters.

اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی خرابی،
77:47 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرْكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرْكَعُونَ ٨٤

Ahmed Ali
When it is said to them: "Bow in homage," they do not bow.
Shakir
And where it is said to them: Bow down, they do not bow down.

اور جب ان سے کہا جائے کہ نماز پڑھو تو نہیں پڑھتے،
77:48 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٩٤

Alas the woe that day for those who deny!

Woe on that day to the rejecters.

اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کی خرابی،
77:49 فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍۭ بَعْدَهُۥ يُؤْمِنُونَ ٠٥

In what other lore after this will they then believe?

In what announcement, then, after it, will they believe?

پھر اس (ف۳۷) کے بعد کون سی بات پر ایمان لائیں گے (ف۳۸)
