المص
7:1 كِتَٰبٌ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ فَلَا يَكُن فِى صَدْرِكَ حَرَجٌ مِّنْهُ لِتُنذِرَ بِهِۦ وَذِكْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٢
7:2
Ahmed Ali
This Book has been sent down to you; so do not hesitate to warn (the unbelievers) through it, and remind the faithful.
Shakir
A Book revealed to you-- so let there be no straitness in your breast on account of it-- that you may warn thereby, and a reminder close to the believers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے محبوب! ایک کتاب تمہاری طرف اُتاری گئی تو تمہارا جی اس سے نہ رُکے (ف۲) اس لیے کہ تم اس سے ڈر سناؤ اور مسلمانوں کو نصیحت،
7:2 ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٣
7:3
Ahmed Ali
Follow what has been revealed to you by your Lord, and do not follow any other lord apart from Him. Yet little do you care to remember.
Shakir
Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow guardians besides Him, how little do you mind.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے لوگو! اس پر چلو جو تمہاری طرف تمہارے رب کے پاس سے اُترا (ف۳) اور اسے چھوڑ کر اور حاکموں کے پیچھے نہ جاؤ، بہت ہی کم سمجھتے ہو،
7:3 وَكَم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَا فَجَآءَهَا بَأْسُنَا بَيَٰتًا أَوْ هُمْ قَآئِلُونَ ٤
7:4
Ahmed Ali
Many a habitation have We laid low before: Our retribution came upon them in the night or in the midst of siesta at noon.
Shakir
And how many a town that We destroyed, so Our punishment came to it by night or while they slept at midday.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کتنی ہی بستیاں ہم نے ہلاک کیں (ف۴) تو ان پر ہمارا عذاب رات میں آیا جب وہ دوپہر کو سوتے تھے(ف۵)
7:4 فَمَا كَانَ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ إِذْ جَآءَهُم بَأْسُنَآ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ٥
7:5
Ahmed Ali
And when Our punishment overtook them they had nothing to say except crying out: "We have indeed been sinners."
Shakir
Yet their cry, when Our punishment came to them, was nothing but that they said: Surely we were unjust.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو ان کے منہ سے کچھ نہ نکلا جب ہمارا عذاب ان پر آیا مگر یہی بولے کہ ہم ظالم تھے (ف۶)
7:5 فَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ٦
7:6
Ahmed Ali
(On the Day of Reckoning) We shall question the people to whom We had sent Our apostles, (if they followed their teachings), and will question the apostles.
Shakir
Most certainly then We will question those to whom (the messengers) were sent, and most certainly We will also question the messengers;
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو بیشک ضرور ہمیں پوچھنا ہے ان سے جن کے پاس رسول گئے (ف۷) اور بیشک ضرور ہمیں پوچھنا ہے رسولوں سے (ف۸)
7:6 فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ عَلَيْهِم بِعِلْمٍ وَمَا كُنَّا غَآئِبِينَ ٧
7:7
Ahmed Ali
We shall recount (their deeds) to them with knowledge, for We were never absent (and saw all they did).
Shakir
Then most certainly We will relate to them with knowledge, and We were not absent.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو ضرور ہم ان کو بتادیں گے (ف۹) اپنے علم سے اور ہم کچھ غائب نہ تھے،
7:7 وَٱلْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ ٨
7:8
Ahmed Ali
And the weighing will be just on that Day. Then those whose (deeds) are heavier in the balance will find fulfilment,
Shakir
And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful;
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس دن تول ضرور ہونی ہے (ف۱۰) تو جن کے پلے بھاری ہوئے (ف۱۱) وہی مراد کو پہنچے،
7:8 وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ ٩
7:9
Ahmed Ali
And those whose (deeds) are lighter in the scale shall perish for violating Our signs.
Shakir
And as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is light those are they who have made their souls suffer loss because they disbelieved in Our communications.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جن کے پلے ہلکے ہوئے (ف۱۲) تو وہی ہیں جنہوں نے اپنی جان گھاٹے میں ڈالی ان زیادتیوں کا بدلہ جو ہماری آیتوں پر کرتے تھے(ف۱۳)
7:9 وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَٰيِشَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ ٠١
7:10
Ahmed Ali
We settled you on the earth, and provided means of livelihood for you in it; but little are the thanks you give.
Shakir
And certainly We have established you in the earth and made in it means of livelihood for you; little it is that you give thanks.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے تمہیں زمین میں جماؤ (ٹھکانا) دیا اور تمہارے لیے اس میں زندگی کے اسباب بنائے (ف۱۴) بہت ہی کم شکر کرتے ہو(ف۱۵)
7:10 وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَٰكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ ١١
7:11
Ahmed Ali
Verily We created you and gave you form and shape, and ordered the angels to bow before Adam in homage; and they all bowed but Iblis who was not among those who bowed.
Shakir
And certainly We created you, then We fashioned you, then We said to the angels: Prostrate to Adam. So they did prostrate except Iblis; he was not of those who prostrated.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے تمہیں پیدا کیا پھر تمہارے نقشے بنائے پھر ہم نے ملائکہ سے فرمایا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کرو، تو وہ سب سجدے میں گرے مگر ابلیس، یہ سجدہ کرنے والوں میں نہ ہوا،

Ahmed Ali
"What prevented you" (said God), "from bowing (before Adam) at My bidding?" "I am better than him," said he. "You created me from fire, and him from clay."
Shakir
He said: What hindered you so that you did not prostrate when I commanded you? He said: I am better than he: Thou hast created me of fire, while him Thou didst create of dust.
Ahmed Raza Khan
فرمایا کس چیز نے تجھے روکا کہ تو نے سجدہ نہ کیا جب میں نے تجھے حکم دیا تھا (ف۱۶) بولا میں اس سے بہتر ہوں تو نے مجھے آگ سے بنایا اور اسے مٹی سے بنایا (ف۱۷)
7:12 قَالَ فَٱهْبِطْ مِنْهَا فَمَا يَكُونُ لَكَ أَن تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيهَا فَٱخْرُجْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰغِرِينَ ٣١
7:13
Ahmed Ali
So God said: "Descend. You have no right to be insolent here. Go, and away; you are one of the damned."
Shakir
He said: Then get forth from this (state), for it does not befit you to behave proudly therein. Go forth, therefore, surely you are of the abject ones.
Ahmed Raza Khan
فرمایا تو یہاں سے اُ تر جا تجھے نہیں پہنچتا کہ یہاں رہ کر غرور کرے نکل (ف۱۸) تو ہے ذلت والوں میں(ف۱۹)
7:13 قَالَ أَنظِرْنِىٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ ٤١
7:14
Ahmed Ali
"Grant me respite," said he, "till the raising of the dead."
Shakir
He said: Respite me until the day when they are raised up.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بولا مجھے فرصت دے اس دن تک کہ لوگ اٹھائے جائیں،
7:14 قَالَ إِنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ ٥١
7:15
Ahmed Ali
And God said: "You have the respite."
Shakir
He said: Surely you are of the respited ones.
Ahmed Raza Khan
فرمایا تجھے مہلت ہے(ف۲۰)
7:15 قَالَ فَبِمَآ أَغْوَيْتَنِى لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَٰطَكَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ ٦١
7:16
Ahmed Ali
"Since You led me into error," said Iblis, "I shall lie in wait for them along Your straight path.
Shakir
He said: As Thou hast caused me to remain disappointed I will certainly lie in wait for them in Thy straight path.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بولا تو قسم اس کی کہ تو نے مجھے گمراہ کیا میں ضرور تیرے سیدھے راستہ پر ان کی تاک میں بیٹھوں گا(ف۲۱)
7:16 ثُمَّ لَءَاتِيَنَّهُم مِّنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ وَعَنْ أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ وَعَن شَمَآئِلِهِمْ وَلَا تَجِدُ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَٰكِرِينَ ٧١
7:17
Ahmed Ali
And I shall come upon them from the front and behind, right and left; and You will not find among them many who would give thanks."
Shakir
Then I will certainly come to them from before them and from behind them, and from their right-hand side and from their left-hand side; and Thou shalt not find most of them thankful.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر ضرور میں ان کے پاس آؤں گا ان کے آگے اور ان کے پیچھے او ر ان کے دائیں اور ان کے بائیں سے (ف۲۲) اور تو ان میں سے اکثر کو شکر گزار نہ پائے گا (ف۲۳)
7:17 قَالَ ٱخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْءُومًا مَّدْحُورًا لَّمَن تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٨١
7:18
Ahmed Ali
"Begone," said (God), "contemptible and rejected! As for those who follow you, I shall fill up Hell with all of you.
Shakir
He said: Get out of this (state), despised, driven away; whoever of them will follow you, I will certainly fill hell with you all.
Ahmed Raza Khan
فرمایا یہاں سے نکل جا رد کیا گیا راندہ ہوا، ضرور جو اُن میں سے تیرے کہے پر چلا میں تم سب سے جہنم بھردوں گا (ف۲۴)
7:18 وَيَٰٓـَٔادَمُ ٱسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ فَكُلَا مِنْ حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ٩١
7:19
Ahmed Ali
And you, O Adam, and your spouse, live in the Garden and eat your fill wheresoever you like, but do not approach this tree, or you will become iniquitous."
Shakir
And (We said): O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the garden; so eat from where you desire, but do not go near this tree, for then you will be of the unjust.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اے آدم تو اور تیرا جوڑا (ف۲۵) جنت میں رہو تو اُس سے جہاں چاہو کھاؤ اور اس پیڑ کے پاس نہ جانا کہ حد سے بڑھنے والوں میں ہو گے،
7:19 فَوَسْوَسَ لَهُمَا ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِيُبْدِىَ لَهُمَا مَا وُۥرِىَ عَنْهُمَا مِن سَوْءَٰتِهِمَا وَقَالَ مَا نَهَىٰكُمَا رَبُّكُمَا عَنْ هَٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَا مَلَكَيْنِ أَوْ تَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلْخَٰلِدِينَ ٠٢
7:20
Ahmed Ali
But Satan suggested (evil) to them, in order to reveal their hidden parts of which they were not aware (till then), and said: "Your Lord has forbidden you (to go near) this tree that you may not become angels or immortal."
Shakir
But the Shaitan made an evil suggestion to them that he might make manifest to them what had been hidden from them of their evil inclinations, and he said: Your Lord has not forbidden you this tree except that you may not both become two angels or that you may (not) become of the immortals.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر شیطان نے ان کے جی میں خطرہ ڈالا کہ ان پر کھول دے ان کی شرم کی چیزیں (ف۲۶) جو ان سے چھپی تھیں (ف۲۷) اور بولا تمہیں تمہارے رب نے اس پیڑ سے اسی لیے منع فرمایا ہے کہ کہیں تم دو فرشتے ہوجاؤ یا ہمیشہ جینے والے (ف ۲۸)
7:20 وَقَاسَمَهُمَآ إِنِّى لَكُمَا لَمِنَ ٱلنَّٰصِحِينَ ١٢
7:21
Ahmed Ali
Then he said to them on oath: "I am your sincere friend;"
Shakir
And he swore to them both: Most surely I am a sincere adviser to you.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ان سے قسم کھائی کہ میں تم دونوں کا خیر خواہ ہوں،
7:21 فَدَلَّىٰهُمَا بِغُرُورٍ فَلَمَّا ذَاقَا ٱلشَّجَرَةَ بَدَتْ لَهُمَا سَوْءَٰتُهُمَا وَطَفِقَا يَخْصِفَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا مِن وَرَقِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَنَادَىٰهُمَا رَبُّهُمَآ أَلَمْ أَنْهَكُمَا عَن تِلْكُمَا ٱلشَّجَرَةِ وَأَقُل لَّكُمَآ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ لَكُمَا عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ ٢٢
7:22
Ahmed Ali
And led them (to the tree) by deceit. When they tasted (the fruit) of the tree their disgrace became exposed to them; and they patched the leaves of the Garden to hide it. And the Lord said to them: "Did I not forbid you this tree? And I told you that Satan was your open enemy.
Shakir
Then he caused them to fall by deceit; so when they tasted of the tree, their evil inclinations became manifest to them, and they both began to cover themselves with the leaves of the garden; and their Lord called out to them: Did I not forbid you both from that tree and say to you that the Shaitan is your open enemy?
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اُتار لایا انہیں فریب سے (ف۲۹) پھر جب انہوں نے وہ پیڑ چکھا ان پر اُن کی شرم کی چیزیں کھل گئیں (ف۳۰) اور اپنے بدن پر جنت کے پتے چپٹانے لگے، اور انہیں ان کے رب نے فرمایا کیا میں نے تمہیں اس پیڑ سے منع نہ کیا اور نہ فرمایا تھا کہ شیطان تمہارا کھلا دشمن ہے،
