54:50 وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ١٥

We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned?

And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind?

54:53 إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍ وَنَهَرٍ ٤٥

Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light,

Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers,

بیشک پرہیزگار باغوں اور نہر میں ہیں،

55:2 خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ٣

انسانیت کی جان محمد کو پیدا کیا،
55:3 عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ ٤

And taught him to express clearly.

Taught him the mode of expression.

ما کان وما یکون کا بیان انہیں سکھایا (ف۳)
55:4 ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ ٥

Ahmed Ali
The sun and moon revolve to a computation;

The sun and the moon follow a reckoning.

سورج اور چاند حساب سے ہیں (ف۴)
55:5 وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ ٦

Ahmed Ali
And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration.

And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him).

اور سبزے اور پیڑ سجدہ کرتے ہیں (ف۵)
55:6 وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ٧

He raised the sky and set the Balance

And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance

اور آسمان کو اللہ نے بلند کیا (ف۶) اور ترازو رکھی (ف۷)
55:7 أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ ٨
55:8
Ahmed Ali
So that none may err against the scales,

That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure.

کہ ترازو میں بے اعتدالی نہ کرو (ف۸)
55:8 وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ ٩
55:9
Ahmed Ali
And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance.

And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient.

اور انصاف کے ساتھ تول قائم کرو اور وزن نہ گھٹاؤ،
55:9 وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ ٠١

He positioned the earth for all the creatures:

And the earth, He has set it for living creatures;

اور زمین رکھی مخلوق کے لیے (ف۹)
55:10 فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ ١١

There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed,

Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters,

اس میں میوے اور غلاف والی کھجوریں (ف۱۰)
55:11 وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ ٢١

Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses.

And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance.

اور بھُس کے ساتھ اناج (ف۱۱) اور خوشبو کے پھول،
55:12 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٣١

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اے جن و انس! تم دونوں اپنے رب کی کون سی نعمت کو جھٹلاؤ گے (ف۱۲)
55:13 خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ ٤١

He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware,

He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels,

اس نے آدمی کو بنا یا بجتی مٹی سے جیسے ٹھیکری (ف۱۳)
55:14 وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ ٥١

And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire.

And He created the jinn of a flame of fire.

اور جن کو پیدا فرمایا آگ کے لُوکے (لپیٹ) سے (ف۱۴)
55:15 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٦١

He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together,

He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together:

اس نے دو سمندر بہائے (ف۱۶) کہ دیکھنے میں معلوم ہوں ملے ہوئے (ف۱۷)
55:19 بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ ٠٢

With an interstice between them which they cannot cross.

Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass.

اور ہے ان میں روک (ف۱۸) کہ ایک دوسرے پر بڑھ نہیں سکتا (ف۱۹)
55:20 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ١٢

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:21 يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ ٢٢

Out of them come pearls and coral.

There come forth from them pearls, both large and small.

ان میں سے موتی اور مونگا نکلتا ہے،
55:22 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٣٢

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:23 وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ ٤٢

Ahmed Ali
His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains.
Shakir
And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains.

اور اسی کی ہیں وہ چلنے والیاں کہ دریا میں اٹھی ہوئی ہیں جیسے پہاڑ (ف۲۰)
55:24 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٥٢

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:25 كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ ٦٢

All that is on the earth is passing,

Everyone on it must pass away.

زمین پر جتنے ہیں سب کو فنا ہے (ف۲۱)
55:26 وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ ٧٢

Ahmed Ali
But abiding is the glory of your Lord, full of majesty and beneficence.

And there will endure for ever the person of your Lord, the Lord of glory and honor.

اور باقی ہے تمہارے رب کی ذات عظمت اور بزرگی والا (ف۲۲)
55:27 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٨٢

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:28 يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ ٩٢

Ahmed Ali
All those there are in the heavens and the earth turn to Him with solicitation, intent on His purpose all the time.
Shakir
All those who are in the heavens and the earth ask of Him; every moment He is in a state (of glory).

اسی کے منگتا ہیں جتنے آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہیں (ف۲۳) اسے ہر دن ایک کام ہے (ف۲۴)
55:29 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٠٣

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:30 سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ ١٣

Ahmed Ali
We shall soon be free to turn to you, O weary caravans,

Soon will We apply Ourselves to you, O you two armies.

جلد سب کام نبٹا کر ہم تمہارے حساب کا قصد فرماتے ہیں اے دونوں بھاری گروہ (ف۲۵)
55:31 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٢٣

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:32 يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَٰنٍ ٣٣
55:33
Ahmed Ali
O society of jinns and men, cross the bounds of the heavens and the earth if you have the ability, then pass beyond them; but you cannot unless you acquire the law.
Shakir
O assembly of the jinn and the men! If you are able to pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass through; you cannot pass through but with authority.

اے جن و انسان کے گروہ اگر تم سے ہوسکے کہ آسمانوں اور زمین کے کناروں سے نکل جاؤ تو نکل جاؤ، جہاں نکل کر جاؤ گے اسی کی سلطنت ہے (ف۲۶)
55:33 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٤٣

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:34 يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ ٥٣

Ahmed Ali
Let loose at you will be smokeless flames of fire so that you will not be able to defend yourselves.

The flames of fire and smoke will be sent on you two, then you will not be able to defend yourselves.

تم پر (ف۲۷) چھوڑی جائے گی بے دھویں کی آگ کی لپٹ اور بے لپٹ کا کالا دھواں (ف۲۸) تو پھر بدلا نہ لے سکو گے (ف۲۹)
55:35 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٦٣

How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny?

Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:36 فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ ٧٣

When the sky will split asunder, and turn rosy like the dregs of annointing oil,

And when the heaven is rent asunder, and then becomes red like red hide.

پھر جب آسمان پھٹ ائے گا تو گلاب کے پھول کا سا ہوجائے گا (ف۳۰) جیسے سرخ نری (بکرے کی رنگی ہوئی کھال)
55:37 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٨٣

Which of the favours of your Lord will you then deny?
Shakir
Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?

تو اپنے رب کی کونسی نعمت جھٹلاؤ گے،
55:38 فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ ٩٣

Ahmed Ali
Neither man nor jinn will be questioned on that day about his sin.

So on that day neither man nor jinni shall be asked about his sin.

تو اس دن (ف۳۱) گنہگار کے گناہ کی پوچھ نہ ہوگی کسی آدمی اور جِن سے (ف۳۲)
55:39 فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ٠٤
