50:1
Ahmed Ali
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur´an.
Shakir
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah)
Ahmed Raza Khan
عزت والے قرآن کی قسم (ف۲)
50:1 بَلْ عَجِبُوٓا۟ أَن جَآءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا شَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ ٢
50:2
Ahmed Ali
They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing:
Shakir
Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing:
Ahmed Raza Khan
بلکہ انھیں اس کا اچنبھا ہوا کہ ان کے پاس انہی میں کا ایک ڈر سنانے والا تشریف لایا (ف۳) تو کافر بولے یہ تو عجیب بات ہے،
50:2 أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌۢ بَعِيدٌ ٣
50:3
Ahmed Ali
When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched."
Shakir
What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کیا جب ہم مرجائیں اور مٹی ہوجائیں گے پھر جیئں گے یہ پلٹنا دور ہے (ف۴)
50:3 قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَٰبٌ حَفِيظٌۢ ٤
50:4
Ahmed Ali
We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything.
Shakir
We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ہم جانتے ہیں جو کچھ زمین ان میں سے گھٹاتی ہے (ف۵) اور ہمارے پاس ایک یاد رکھنے والی کتاب ہے (ف۶)
50:4 بَلْ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ فَهُمْ فِىٓ أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ ٥
50:5
Ahmed Ali
But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state.
Shakir
Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بلکہ انہوں نے حق کو جھٹلایا (ف۷) جب وہ ان کے پاس آیا تو وہ ایک مضطرب بے ثبات بات میں ہیں (ف۸)
50:5 أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ ٦
50:6
Ahmed Ali
Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw?
Shakir
Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps?
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو کیا انہوں نے اپنے اوپر آسمان کو نہ دیکھا (ف۹) ہم نے اسے کیسے بنایا (ف۱۰) اور سنوارا (ف۱۱) اور اس میں کہیں رخنہ نہیں (ف۱۲)
50:6 وَٱلْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَٰهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ ٧
50:7
Ahmed Ali
We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it
Shakir
And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور زمین کو ہم نے پھیلایا (ف۱۳) اور اس میں لنگر ڈالے (بھاری وزن رکھے) (ف۹۱۴ اور اس میں ہر بارونق جوڑا اُگایا،
50:7 تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ ٨
50:8
Ahmed Ali
As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature.
Shakir
To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah).
Ahmed Raza Khan
سوجھ اور سمجھ (ف۱۵) ہر رجوع والے بندے کے لیے (ف۱۶)
50:8 وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً مُّبَٰرَكًا فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ جَنَّٰتٍ وَحَبَّ ٱلْحَصِيدِ ٩
50:9
Ahmed Ali
And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest,
Shakir
And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم نے آسمان سے برکت والا پانی اتارا (ف۱۷) تو اس سے باغ اُگائے اور اناج کہ کاٹا جاتا ہے (ف۱۸)
50:9 وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَٰتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ ٠١
50:10
Ahmed Ali
And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile
Shakir
And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کھجور کے لمبے درخت جن کا پکا گابھا،
50:10 رِّزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْخُرُوجُ ١١
50:11
Ahmed Ali
As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death.
Shakir
A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بندووں کی روزی کے لیے اور ہم نے اس (ف۱۹) سے مردہ شہر جِلایا (ف۲۰) یونہی قبروں سے تمہارا نکلنا ہے (ف۲۱)
50:11 كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ ٢١
50:12
Ahmed Ali
The people of Noah, Ar-Rass and Thamud denied before you,
Shakir
(Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood,
Ahmed Raza Khan
ان سے پہلے جھٹلایا (ف۲۲) نوح کی قوم اور رس والوں (ف۲۳) اور ثمود
50:12 وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَٰنُ لُوطٍ ٣١
50:13
Ahmed Ali
As did the people of ´Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot,
Shakir
And Ad and Firon and Lut´s brethren,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور عاد اور فرعون اور لوط کے ہم قوموں
50:13 وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ ٱلرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ ٤١
50:14
Ahmed Ali
And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba´. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality.
Shakir
And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the messengers, so My threat came to pass.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بَن والوں اور تبع کی قوم نے (ف۲۴) ان میں ہر ایک نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا تو میرے عذاب کا وعدہ ثابت ہوگیا (ف۲۵)
50:14 أَفَعَيِينَا بِٱلْخَلْقِ ٱلْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِى لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ ٥١
50:15
Ahmed Ali
Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation.
Shakir
Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو کیا ہم پہلی بار بناکر تھک گئے (ف۲۶) بلکہ وہ نئے بننے سے (ف۲۷) شبہ میں ہیں،
50:15

خَلَقْنَا
ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ
وَنَعْلَمُ
مَا
تُوَسْوِسُ
بِهِۦ
نَفْسُهُۥ
وَنَحْنُ
أَقْرَبُ

حَبْلِ
ٱلْوَرِيدِ

Ahmed Ali
He created man and surely know what misdoubts arise in their hearts; for We are closer to him than his jugular vein.
Shakir
And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بیشک ہم نے آدمی کو پیدا کیا اور ہم جانتے ہیں جو وسوسہ اس کا نفس ڈالتا ہے (ف۲۸) اور ہم دل کی رگ سے بھی اس سے زیادہ نزدیک ہیں (ف۲۹)
50:16 إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى ٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ ٧١
50:17
Ahmed Ali
When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down,
Shakir
When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جب اس سے لیتے ہیں دو لینے والے (ف۳۰) ایک داہنے بیٹھا اور ایک بائیں (ف۳۱)
50:17 مَّا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ ٨١
50:18
Ahmed Ali
There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it).
Shakir
He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کوئی بات وہ زبان سے نہیں نکالتا کہ اس کے پاس ایک محافظ تیار نہ بیٹھا ہو (ف۳۲)
50:18 وَجَآءَتْ سَكْرَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ بِٱلْحَقِّ ذَٰلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ ٩١
50:19
Ahmed Ali
The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert.
Shakir
And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور آئی موت کی سختی (ف۳۳) حق کے ساتھ (ف۳۴) یہ ہے جس سے تو بھاگتا تھا،
50:19 وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ ٠٢
50:20
Ahmed Ali
And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom.
Shakir
And the trumpet shall be blown; that is the day of the threatening.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور صُور پھونکا گیا (ف۳۵) یہ ہے وعدہٴ عذاب کا دن (ف۳۶)
50:20 وَجَآءَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَآئِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ ١٢
50:21
Ahmed Ali
Each soul will come with a driver and a witness.
Shakir
And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہر جان یوں حاضر ہوئی کہ اس کے ساتھ ایک ہانکنے والا (ف۳۷) اور ایک گواہ (ف۳۸)
50:21 لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ ٢٢
50:22
Ahmed Ali
(And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!"
Shakir
Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک تو اس سے غفلت میں تھا (ف۳۹) تو ہم نے تجھ پر سے پردہ اٹھایا (ف۴۰) تو آج تیری نگاہ تیز ہے (ف۴۱)
50:22 وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ هَٰذَا مَا لَدَىَّ عَتِيدٌ ٣٢
50:23
Ahmed Ali
His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me."
Shakir
And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس کا ہمنشین فرشتہ (ف۴۲) بولا یہ ہے (ف۴۳) جو میرے پاس حاضر ہے،
50:23 أَلْقِيَا فِى جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ ٤٢
50:24
Ahmed Ali
"Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told),
Shakir
Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one,
Ahmed Raza Khan
حکم ہوگا تم دونوں جہنم میں ڈال دو ہر بڑے ناشکرے ہٹ دھرم کو،
50:24 مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ ٥٢
50:25
Ahmed Ali
"Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic,
Shakir
Forbidder of good, exceeder of limits, doubter,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو بھلائی سے بہت روکنے والا حد سے بڑھنے والا شک کرنے والا (ف۴۴)
50:25 ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلشَّدِيدِ ٦٢
50:26
Ahmed Ali
Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment."
Shakir
Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جس نے اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود ٹھہرایا تم دونوں اسے سخت عذاب میں ڈالو،
50:26 ۞ قَالَ قَرِينُهُۥ رَبَّنَا مَآ أَطْغَيْتُهُۥ وَلَٰكِن كَانَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۭ بَعِيدٍ ٧٢
50:27
Ahmed Ali
His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray."
Shakir
His companion will say: Our Lord! I did not lead him into inordinacy but he himself was in a great error.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اس کے ساتھی شیطان نے کہا (ف۴۵) ہمارے رب میں نے اسے سرکش نہ کیا (ف۴۶) ہاں یہ آپ ہی دور کی گمراہی میں تھا (ف۴۷)
50:27 قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا۟ لَدَىَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِٱلْوَعِيدِ ٨٢
50:28
Ahmed Ali
"Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance.
Shakir
He will say: Do not quarrel in My presence, and indeed I gave you the threatening beforehand:
Ahmed Raza Khan
فرمائے گا میرے پاس نہ جھگڑو (ف۴۸) میں تمہیں پہلے ہی عذاب کا ڈر سنا چکا تھا (ف۴۹)
50:28 مَا يُبَدَّلُ ٱلْقَوْلُ لَدَىَّ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِظَلَّٰمٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ ٩٢
50:29
Ahmed Ali
There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures."
Shakir
My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants.
Ahmed Raza Khan
میرے یہاں بات بدلتی نہیں اور نہ میں بندوں پر ظلم کروں،
50:29 يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ ٱمْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ ٠٣
50:30
Ahmed Ali
We shall ask Hell that day: "Are you full?" It will answer: "Are there still more?"
Shakir
On the day that We will say to hell: Are you filled up? And it will say: Are there any more?
Ahmed Raza Khan
جس دن ہم جہنم سے فرمائیں گے کیا تو بھر گئی (ف۵۰) وہ عرض کرے گی کچھ اور زیادہ ہے (ف۵۱)
50:30 وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ ١٣
50:31
Ahmed Ali
And Paradise will be brought near, not far from those who took heed for themselves and feared God.
Shakir
And the garden shall be brought near to those who guard (against evil), not far off:
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور پاس لائی جائے گی جنت پرہیزگاروں کے کہ ان سے دور نہ ہوگی (ف۵۲)
50:31 هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ ٢٣
50:32
Ahmed Ali
"This is what you had been promised," (will be said) to every penitent who remembered (his duty),
Shakir
This is what you were promised, (it is) for every one who turns frequently (to Allah), keeps (His limits);
Ahmed Raza Khan
یہ ہے وہ جس کا تم وعدہ دیے جاتے ہو (ف۵۳) ہر رجوع لانے والے نگہداشت والے کے لیے (ف۵۴)
50:32 مَّنْ خَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَجَآءَ بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ ٣٣
50:33
Ahmed Ali
Who feared Ar-Rahman in secret, and came with a penitent heart:
Shakir
Who fears the Beneficent Allah in secret and comes with a penitent heart:
Ahmed Raza Khan
جو رحمن سے بے دیکھے ڈرتا ہے اور رجوع کرتا ہوا دل لایا (ف۵۵)
50:33 ٱدْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٍ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْخُلُودِ ٤٣
50:34
Ahmed Ali
"Enter it in peace. This is the day of life abiding."
Shakir
Enter it in peace, that is the day of abiding.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ان سے فرمایا جائے گا جنت میں جاؤ سلامتی کے ساتھ (ف۵۶) یہ ہمیشگی کا دن ہے (ف۵۷)
50:34 لَهُم مَّا يَشَآءُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ ٥٣
50:35
Ahmed Ali
Theirs will be whatsoever they wish: And with Us there is more.
Shakir
They have therein what they wish and with Us is more yet.
Ahmed Raza Khan
ان کے لیے ہے اس میں جو چاہیں اور ہمارے پاس اس سے بھی زیادہ ہے (ف۵۸)
50:35
