سورة الفتح
48:1

WE HAVE GIVEN you a splendent victory
Shakir
Surely We have given to you a clear victory

بیشک ہم نے تمہارے لیے روشن فتح دی (ف۲)
48:1 لِّيَغْفِرَ لَكَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنۢبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُۥ عَلَيْكَ وَيَهْدِيَكَ صِرَٰطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا ٢
48:2
Ahmed Ali
That God may save you from earlier and subsequent blames, and complete His favours on you, and guide you on the straight path,
Shakir
That Allah may forgive your community their past faults and those to follow and complete His favor to you and keep you on a right way,
Ahmed Raza Khan
تاکہ اللہ تمہارے سبب سے گناہ بخشے تمہارے اگلوں کے اور تمہارے پچھلوں کے (ف۳) اور اپنی نعمتیں تم پر تمام کردے (ف۴) اور تمہیں سیدھی راہ دکھادے (ف۵)
48:2 وَيَنصُرَكَ ٱللَّهُ نَصْرًا عَزِيزًا ٣

Ahmed Ali
And help you with surpassing help.
Shakir
And that Allah might help you with a mighty help.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اللہ تمہاری زبردست مدد فرمائے (ف۶)
48:3 هُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنزَلَ ٱلسَّكِينَةَ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِيَزْدَادُوٓا۟ إِيمَٰنًا مَّعَ إِيمَٰنِهِمْ وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا ٤
48:4
Ahmed Ali
It is He who sent down the sense of security into the hearts of believers so that their faith may increase with belief, -- God´s are the armies of the heavens and the earth; and God is all-knowing and all-wise; --
Shakir
He it is Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might have more of faith added to their faith-- and Allah´s are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Knowing, Wise--

وہی ہے جس نے ایمان والوں کے دلوں میں اطمینان اتارا تاکہ انہیں یقین پر یقین بڑھے (ف۷) اور اللہ ہی کی ملک ہیں تمام لشکر آسمانوں اور زمین کے (ف۸) اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے (ف۹)
48:4 لِّيُدْخِلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ جَنَّٰتٍ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا وَيُكَفِّرَ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَكَانَ ذَٰلِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا ٥
48:5
Ahmed Ali
And that He may admit men and women who believe into gardens with rivers running by, to live for ever there, and absolve their evil, -- This, in the sight of God, will be the great fulfilment --
Shakir
That He may cause the believing men and the believing women to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein and remove from them their evil; and that is a grand achievement with Allah

تاکہ ایمان والے مردوں اور ایمان والی عورتوں کو باغوں میں لے جائے جن کے نیچے نہریں رواں ہمیشہ ان میں رہیں اور انکی برائیاں ان سے اتار دے، اور یہ اللہ کے یہاں بڑی کامیابی ہے،
48:5 وَيُعَذِّبَ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ ٱلظَّآنِّينَ بِٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيرًا ٦
48:6
Ahmed Ali
And that He may punish men and women (who are) hypocrites, and idolaters and idolatresses who entertain evil notions of God: It is against them that the wheel of misfortune will turn, and God will be wroth with them, and condemn them. For them He has prepared Hell, an evil destination!
Shakir
And (that) He may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the polytheistic men and the polytheistic women, the entertainers of evil thoughts about Allah. On them is the evil turn, and Allah is wroth with them and has cursed them and prepared hell for them, and evil is the resort.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور عذاب دے منافق مَردوں اور منافق عورتوں اور مشرک مَردوں اور مشرک عورتوں کو جو اللہ پر گمان رکھتے ہیں (ف۱۰) انہیں پر ہے بری گردش (ف۱۱) اور اللہ نے اُن پر غضب فرمایا اور انہیں لعنت کی اور ان کے لیے جہنم تیار فرمایا، اور وہ کیا ہی برا انجام ہے،
48:6 وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا ٧
48:7
Ahmed Ali
For God´s are the armies of the heavens and the earth; and God is all-knowing and all-wise.
Shakir
And Allah´s are the hosts of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Mighty, Wise.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اللہ ہی کی ملک ہیں آسمانوں اور زمین کے سب لشکر، اور اللہ عزت و حکمت والا ہے،
48:7 إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ شَٰهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا ٨
48:8
Ahmed Ali
We have sent you as witness (of the truth) and harbinger of good news and a warner,
Shakir
Surely We have sent you as a witness and as a bearer of good news and as a warner,
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک ہم نے تمہیں بھیجا حاضر و ناظر (ف۱۲) اور خوشی اور ڈر سناتا(ف۱۳)
48:8 لِّتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا ٩
48:9
Ahmed Ali
So that (men) may believe in God and His Apostle, and honour Him and revere Him, and sing His praises morning and evening.
Shakir
That you may believe in Allah and His Messenger and may aid him and revere him; and (that) you may declare His glory, morning and evening.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تاکہ اے لوگو تم اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لاؤ اور رسول کی تعظیم و توقیر کرو اور صبح و شام اللہ کی پاکی بولو (ف۱۴)
48:9

يُبَايِعُونَكَ
إِنَّمَا
يُبَايِعُونَ
ٱللَّهَ
يَدُ
ٱللَّهِ
فَوْقَ
أَيْدِيهِمْ
فَمَن
نَّكَثَ
فَإِنَّمَا
يَنكُثُ
عَلَىٰ
نَفْسِهِۦ
وَمَنْ
أَوْفَىٰ
بِمَا
عَٰهَدَ
عَلَيْهُ
ٱللَّهَ
فَسَيُؤْتِيهِ
أَجْرًا
عَظِيمًا

Ahmed Ali
Those who swear allegiance to you indeed swear allegiance to God; and God´s protection is over them. Then whosoever breaks the promise breaks it to his own loss; but whosoever fulfills the promise made to God will receive a great reward from Him.
Shakir
Surely those who swear allegiance to you do but swear allegiance to Allah; the hand of Allah is above their hands. Therefore whoever breaks (his faith), he breaks it only to the injury of his own soul, and whoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will grant him a mighty reward.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ جو تمہاری بیعت کرتے ہیں (ف۱۵) وہ تو اللہ ہی سے بیعت کرتے ہیں (ف۱۶) ان کے ہاتھوں پر (ف۱۷) اللہ کا ہاتھ ہے، تو جس نے عہد توڑا اس نے اپنے بڑے عہد کو توڑا (ف۱۸) اور جس نے پورا کیا وہ عہد جو اس نے اللہ سے کیا تھا تو بہت جلد اللہ اسے بڑا ثواب دے گا (ف۱۹)
48:10 سَيَقُولُ لَكَ ٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ شَغَلَتْنَآ أَمْوَٰلُنَا وَأَهْلُونَا فَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا يَقُولُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِم مَّا لَيْسَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ ضَرًّا أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ نَفْعًۢا بَلْ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرًۢا ١١
48:11
Ahmed Ali
The Arabs of the desert who had stayed behind will now say to you: "We were occupied with our flocks and herds and families, so ask forgiveness for us. They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Tell them: "Who can prevail with God for you if He wish you harm or benefit? Surely God is well aware of what you do.
Shakir
Those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind will say to you: Our property and our families kept us busy, so ask forgiveness for us. They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: Then who can control anything for you from Allah if He intends to do you harm or if He intends to do you good; nay, Allah is Aware of what you do:

اب تم سے کہیں گے جو گنوار (اعرابی) پیچھے رہ گئے تھے (ف۲۰) کہ ہمیں ہمارے مال اور ہمارے گھر والوں نے مشغول رکھا (ف۲۱) اب حضور ہماری مغفرت چاہیں (ف۲۲) اپنی زبانوں سے وہ بات کہتے ہیں جو ان کے دلوں میں نہیں (ف۲۳) تم فرماؤ تو اللہ کے سامنے کسے تمہارا کچھ اختیار ہے اگر وہ تمہارا برا چاہے یا تمہاری بھلائی کا ارادہ فرمائے، بلکہ اللہ کو تمہارے کاموں کی خبر ہے،
48:11 بَلْ ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًا وَزُيِّنَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًۢا بُورًا ٢١
48:12
Ahmed Ali
In fact you imagined that the Prophet and the faithful would never come back home; and this seemed pleasing to your hearts, and you entertained evil thoughts. You are a people lost.
Shakir
Nay! you rather thought that the Messenger and the believers would not return to their families ever, and that was made fairseeming to your hearts and you thought an evil thought and you were a people doomed to perish.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بلکہ تم تو یہ سمجھے ہوئے تھے کہ رسول اور مسلمان ہرگز گھروں کو واپس نہ آئیں گے (ف۲۴) اور اسی کو اپنے دلوں میں بھلا سمجھیں ہوئے تھے اور تم نے برا گمان کیا (ف۲۵) اور تم ہلاک ہونے والے لوگ تھے (ف۲۶)
48:12 وَمَن لَّمْ يُؤْمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ فَإِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ سَعِيرًا ٣١
48:13
Ahmed Ali
He who does not believe in God and His Apostle (should know) We have prepared for unbelievers a blazing fire."
Shakir
And whoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger, then surely We have prepared burning fire for the unbelievers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جو ایمان نہ لائے اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر (ف۲۷) تو بیشک ہم نے کافروں کے لیے بھڑکتی آگ تیار کر رکھی ہے،
48:13 وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا ٤١
48:14
Ahmed Ali
To God belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He may forgive whosoever He please, and afflict whosoever He will. Yet God is forgiving and kind.
Shakir
And Allah´s is the kingdom. of the heavens and the earth; He forgives whom He pleases and punishes whom He pleases, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی سلطنت، جسے چاہے بخشے اور جسے چاہے عذاب کرے (ف۲۸) اور اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے،
48:14 سَيَقُولُ ٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا ٱنطَلَقْتُمْ إِلَىٰ مَغَانِمَ لِتَأْخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعْكُمْ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يُبَدِّلُوا۟ كَلَٰمَ ٱللَّهِ قُل لَّن تَتَّبِعُونَا كَذَٰلِكُمْ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ فَسَيَقُولُونَ بَلْ تَحْسُدُونَنَا بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ٥١
48:15
Ahmed Ali
Those who had stayed behind will say: "When you depart for taking the spoils, allow us to follow you." They wish to change the word of God. Tell them: "You will not follow us. That is what God has already said before." They will say: "You are envious of our gain." The fact is they understand but little.
Shakir
Those who are left behind will say when you set forth for the gaining of acquisitions: Allow us (that) we may follow you. They desire to change the world of Allah. Say: By no means shall you follow us; thus did Allah say before. But they will say: Nay! you are jealous of us. Nay! they do not understand but a little.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اب کہیں گے پیچھے بیٹھ رہنے والے (ف۲۹) جب تم غنیمتیں لینے چلو (ف۳۰) تو ہمیں بھی اپنے پیچھے آنے دو (ف۳۱) وہ چاہتے ہیں اللہ کا کلام بدل دیں (ف۳۲) تم فرماؤ ہرگز ہمارے ساتھ نہ آؤ اللہ نے پہلے سے یونہی فرمادیا (ف۳۳) تو اب کہیں گے بلکہ تم ہم سے جلتے ہو (ف۳۴) بلکہ وہ بات نہ سمجھتے تھے (ف۳۵) مگر تھوڑی (ف۳۶)
