41:1 تَنزِيلٌ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٢
41:2
Ahmed Ali
A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful,
Shakir
A revelation from the Beneficent, the Merciful Allah:

یہ اتارا ہے بڑے رحم والے مہربان کا،
41:2 كِتَٰبٌ فُصِّلَتْ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ ٣
41:3
Ahmed Ali
A Book whose verses have been distinguished and explained, a lucid discourse for people who understand,
Shakir
A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know:

ایک کتاب ہے جس کی آیتیں مفصل فرمائی گئیں (ف۲) عربی قرآن عقل والوں کے لیے،
41:3 بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا فَأَعْرَضَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ ٤
41:4
Ahmed Ali
Announcing happy news and warnings. And yet most of them are averse and do not listen,
Shakir
A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not.
Ahmed Raza Khan
خوشخبری دیتا (ف۳) اور ڈر سناتا (ف۴) تو ان میں اکثر نے منہ پھیرا تو وہ سنتے ہی نہیں (ف۵)
41:4 وَقَالُوا۟ قُلُوبُنَا فِىٓ أَكِنَّةٍ مِّمَّا تَدْعُونَآ إِلَيْهِ وَفِىٓ ءَاذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِنۢ بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَٱعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَٰمِلُونَ ٥
41:5
Ahmed Ali
And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)."
Shakir
And they say: Our hearts are under coverings from that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and a veil hangs between us and you, so work, we too are working.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور بولے (ف۶) ہمارے دل غلاف میں ہیں اس بات سے جس کی طرف تم ہمیں بلاتے ہو (ف۷) اور ہمارے کانوں میں ٹینٹ (روئی) ہے (ف۸) اور ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان روک ہے (ف۹) تو تم اپنا کام کرو ہم اپنا کام کرتے ہیں (ف۱۰)
41:5 قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ فَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ وَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ ٦
41:6
Ahmed Ali
Say: "I am a man like you, (but) it is revealed to me that your God is one God, so take the straight path to Him, and ask Him to forgive your sins. Woe to the idolaters
Shakir
Say: I am only a mortal like you; it is revealed to me that your Allah is one Allah, therefore follow the right way to Him and ask His forgiveness; and woe to the polytheists;
Ahmed Raza Khan
تم فرماؤ (ف۱۱) آدمی ہونے میں تو میں تمہیں جیسا ہوں (ف۱۲) مجھے وحی ہوتی ہے کہ تمہارا معبود ایک ہی معبود ہے، تو اس کے حضور سیدھے رہو (ف۱۳) اور اس سے معافی مانگو (ف۱۴) اور خرابی ہے شرک والوں کو،
41:6 ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ كَٰفِرُونَ ٧
41:7
Ahmed Ali
Who do not give a due share of their wealth for the welfare of others, and do not believe in the Hereafter.
Shakir
(To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ جو زکوٰة نہیں دیتے (ف۱۵) اور وہ آخرت کے منکر ہیں (ف۱۶)
41:7 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ ٨
41:8
Ahmed Ali
But those who believe and do the right, will have a continuing reward.
Shakir
(As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have a reward never to be cut off.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بیشک جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے ان کے لیے بے انتہا ثواب ہے (ف۱۷)
41:8 ۞ قُلْ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَكْفُرُونَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَرْضَ فِى يَوْمَيْنِ وَتَجْعَلُونَ لَهُۥٓ أَندَادًا ذَٰلِكَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٩
41:9
Ahmed Ali
Say: "Do you refuse to believe in Him who created the earth in two spans of time, and set up compeers to Him, the Lord of all the worlds?
Shakir
Say: What! do you indeed disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in two periods, and do you set up equals with Him? That is the Lord of the Worlds.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تم فرماؤ کیا تم لوگ اس کا انکار رکھتے ہو جس نے دو دن میں زمین بنائی (ف۱۸) اور اس کے ہمسر ٹھہراتے رہو (ف۱۹) وہ ہے سارے جہان کا رب (ف۲۰)
41:9 وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ مِن فَوْقِهَا وَبَٰرَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَآ أَقْوَٰتَهَا فِىٓ أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَآءً لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ ٠١
41:10
Ahmed Ali
He placed firm stabilisers rising above its surface, blessed it with plenty and growth, and ingrained the means of growing its food within it, sufficient for all seekers, in four spans.
Shakir
And He made in it mountains above its surface, and He blessed therein and made therein its foods, in four periods: alike for the seekers.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اس میں (ف۲۱) اس کے اوپر سے لنگر ڈالے (ف۲۲) (بھاری بوجھ رکھے) اور اس میں برکت رکھی (ف۲۳) اور اس میں اس کے بسنے والوں کی روزیاں مقرر کیں یہ سب ملاکر چار دن میں (ف۲۴) ٹھیک جواب پوچھنے والوں کو،
41:10 ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَهِىَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ ٱئْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَآ أَتَيْنَا طَآئِعِينَ ١١
41:11
Ahmed Ali
Then He turned to the heavens, and it was smoke. So He said to it and the earth: "Come with willing obedience or perforce." They said: "We come willingly."
Shakir
Then He directed Himself to the heaven and it is a vapor, so He said to it and to the earth: Come both, willingly or unwillingly. They both said: We come willingly.
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر آسمان کی طرف قصد فرمایا اور وہ دھواں تھا (ف۲۵) تو اس سے اور زمین سے فرمایا کہ دونوں حاضر ہو خوشی سے چاہے ناخوشی سے، دونوں نے عرض کی کہ ہم رغبت کے ساتھ حاضر ہوئے،
41:11

فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ
سَبْعَ
سَمَٰوَاتٍ
فِى
يَوْمَيْنِ
وَأَوْحَىٰ
فِى
كُلِّ
سَمَآءٍ
أَمْرَهَا
وَزَيَّنَّا
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
ٱلدُّنْيَا
بِمَصَٰبِيحَ
وَحِفْظًا
ذَٰلِكَ
تَقْدِيرُ
ٱلْعَزِيزِ
ٱلْعَلِيمِ

Ahmed Ali
Then He created several skies in two spans, and ingrained in each sky its function, decking the nearest heaven with lamps, and guarded it. This has been determined by the mighty and all-knowing.
Shakir
So He ordained them seven heavens in two periods, and revealed in every heaven its affair; and We adorned the lower heaven with brilliant stars and (made it) to guard; that is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو انہیں پورے سات آسمان کردیا دو دن میں (ف۲۶) اور ہر آسمان میں اسی کے کام کے احکام بھیجے (ف۲۷) اور ہم نے نیچے کے آسمان کو (ف۲۸) چراغوں سے آراستہ کیا (ف۲۹) اور نگہبانی کے لیے (ف۳۰) یہ اس عزت والے علم والے کا ٹھہرایا ہوا ہے،
41:12 فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا۟ فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ صَٰعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صَٰعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ ٣١
41:13
Ahmed Ali
If even then they turn away, tell them: "I forewarn you of a terrible punishment like the thunderbolt that fell upon the ´Ad and Thamud."
Shakir
But if they turn aside, then say: I have warned you of a scourge like the scourge of Ad and Samood.

پھر اگر وہ منہ پھیریں (ف۳۱) تو تم فرماؤ کہ میں تمہیں ڈراتا ہوں ایک کڑ ک سے جیسی کڑ ک عاد اور ثمود پر آئی تھی (ف۳۲)
41:13 إِذْ جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلرُّسُلُ مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ قَالُوا۟ لَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّنَا لَأَنزَلَ مَلَٰٓئِكَةً فَإِنَّا بِمَآ أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِۦ كَٰفِرُونَ ٤١
41:14
Ahmed Ali
Their apostles came to them one after the other (saying): "Do not worship any one but God." They said: "If our Lord had pleased He would have sent the angels down. We reject what is sent with you."
Shakir
When their messengers came to them from before them and from behind them, saying, Serve nothing but Allah, they said: If our Lord had pleased He would certainly have sent down angels, so we are surely unbelievers in that with which you are sent.
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب رسول ان کے آگے پیچھے پھرتے تھے (ف۳۳) کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی کو نہ پوجو، بولے (ف۳۴) ہمارا رب چاہتا تو فرشتے اتارتا (ف۳۵) تو جو کچھ تم لے کر بھیجے گئے ہم اسے نہیں مانتے (ف۳۶)
41:14 فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ ٥١
41:15
Ahmed Ali
So those who were ´Ad turned insolent unjustly in the land, and said: "Who is stronger than us?" Did they not see that God who created them was greater far in power than they? Yet they refused to believe Our signs.
Shakir
Then as to Ad, they were unjustly proud in the land, and they said: Who is mightier in strength than we? Did they not see that Allah Who created them was mightier than they in strength, and they denied Our communications?
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو وہ جو عاد تھے انہیں نے زمین میں ناحق تکبر کیا (ف۳۷) اور بولے ہم سے زیادہ کس کا زور، اور کیا انہوں نے نہ جانا کہ اللہ جس نے انہیں بنایا ان سے زیادہ قوی ہے، اور ہماری آیتوں کا انکار کرتے تھے،
41:15 فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِىٓ أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْخِزْىِ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ ٦١
41:16
Ahmed Ali
So We let loose on them a violent wind for several days of distress to make them taste a most disgraceful punishment here in this world, and far more shameful will be the punishment in the Hereafter, and there will be no succour for them.
Shakir
So We sent on them a furious wind in unlucky days, that We may make them taste the chastisement of abasement in this world´s life; and certainly the chastisement of the hereafter is much more abasing, and they shall not be helped.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو ہم نے ان پر ایک آندھی بھیجی سخت گرج کی (ف۳۸) ان کی شامت کے دنوں میں کہ ہم انہیں رسوائی کا عذاب چکھائیں دنیا کی زندگی میں اور بیشک آخرت کے عذاب میں سب سے بڑی رسوائی ہے اور ان کی مدد نہ ہوگی،
41:16 وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ ٱلْعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ صَٰعِقَةُ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْهُونِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ٧١
41:17
Ahmed Ali
As for the (tribe of) Thamud, We tried to guide them, but they preferred blindness to guidance; then they were seized by the torment of a humiliating punishment as requital for their misdeeds;
Shakir
And as to Samood, We showed them the right way, but they chose error above guidance, so there overtook them the scourge of an abasing chastisement for what they earned.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور رہے ثمود انہیں ہم نے راہ دکھائی (ف۳۹) تو انہوں نے سوجھنے پر اندھے ہونے کو پسند کیا (ف۴۰) تو انہیں ذلت کے عذاب کی کڑ ک نے آ لیا (ف۴۱) سزا ان کے کیے کی (ف۴۲)
41:17 وَنَجَّيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ ٨١
41:18
Ahmed Ali
But We saved those who believed and took heed for themselves.
Shakir
And We delivered those who believed and guarded (against evil).
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ہم نے (ف۴۳) انہیں بچالیا جو ایمان لائے (ف۴۴) اور ڈرتے تھے (ف۴۵)
41:18 وَيَوْمَ يُحْشَرُ أَعْدَآءُ ٱللَّهِ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ ٩١
41:19
Ahmed Ali
The day the enemies of God will be gathered at the Fire and the records of their deeds will be distributed,
Shakir
And on the day that the enemies of Allah shall be brought together to the fire, then they shall be formed into groups.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور جس دن اللہ کے دشمن (ف۴۶) آگ کی طرف ہانکے جائیں گے تو ان کے اگلوں کو روکیں گے،
41:19 حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا مَا جَآءُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَأَبْصَٰرُهُمْ وَجُلُودُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٠٢
41:20
Ahmed Ali
So that when they reach it their ears and eyes and persons will testify to what they did.
Shakir
Until when they come to it, their ears and their eyes and their skins shall bear witness against them as to what they did.

یہاں تک کہ پچھلے آ ملیں (ف۴۷) یہاں تک کہ جب وہاں پہنچیں گے ان کے کان اور ان کی آنکھیں اور ان کے چمڑے سب ان پر ان کے کیے کی گواہی دیں گے (ف۴۸)
41:20
