هَٰذِهِ
ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
ٱلدُّنْيَآ
إِلَّا
لَهْوٌ
وَلَعِبٌ
وَإِنَّ
ٱلدَّارَ
ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ
لَهِىَ
ٱلْحَيَوَانُ
لَوْ
كَانُوا۟
يَعْلَمُونَ

The life of this world is only a sport and play. It is surely the home of the Hereafter that will indeed be life extended and new, if only they knew!
Shakir
And this life of the world is nothing but a sport and a play; and as for the next abode, that most surely is the life-- did they but know!

اور یہ دنیا کی زندگی تو نہیں مگر کھیل کود (ف۱۴۹) اور بیشک آخرت کا گھر ضرور وہی سچی زندگی ہے (ف۱۵۰) کیا اچھا تھا اگر جانتے (ف۱۵۱)
29:64 فَإِذَا رَكِبُوا۟ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ إِذَا هُمْ يُشْرِكُونَ ٥٦
29:65
Ahmed Ali
When they board a ship they call on God, placing their faith wholly in Him. But when He brings them safely back to shore, they begin to associate others with Him,
Shakir
So when they ride in the ships they call upon Allah, being sincerely obedient to Him, but when He brings them safe to the land, lo! they associate others (with Him);

پھر جب کشتی میں سوار ہوتے ہیں (ف۱۵۲) اللہ کو پکارتے ہیں ایک اسی عقیدہ لاکر (ف۱۵۳) پھر جب وہ انہیں خشکی کی طرف بچا لاتا ہے (ف۱۵۴) جبھی شرک کرنے لگتے ہیں (ف۱۵۵)
29:65 لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ٦٦
29:66
Ahmed Ali
And deny what We had given them, in order to go on enjoying themselves. They will come to know soon.
Shakir
Thus they become ungrateful for what We have given them, so that they may enjoy; but they shall soon know.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کہ ناشکری کریں ہماری دی ہوئی نعمت کی (ف۱۵۶) اور برتیں۔ (ف۱۵۷) تو اب جانا چاہتے ہیں، (ف۱۵۸)
29:66 أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا حَرَمًا ءَامِنًا وَيُتَخَطَّفُ ٱلنَّاسُ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ أَفَبِٱلْبَٰطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ يَكْفُرُونَ ٧٦
29:67
Ahmed Ali
Do they not see that We have given them a safe sanctuary, while all around them men are being despoiled? Do they then believe what is false, and deny the bounty of God?
Shakir
Do they not see that We have made a sacred territory secure, while men are carried off by force from around them? Will they still believe in the falsehood and disbelieve in the favour of Allah?

اور کیا انہوں نے (ف۱۵۹) یہ نہ دیکھا کہ ہم نے (ف۱۶۰) حرمت والی زمین پناہ بنائی (ف۱۶۱) اور ان کے آس پاس والے لوگ اچک لیے جاتے ہیں (ف۱۶۲) تو کیا باطل پر یقین لاتے ہیں (ف۱۶۳) اور اللہ کی دی ہوئی نعمت سے (ف۱۶۴) ناشکری کرتے ہیں،
29:67 وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِٱلْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَآءَهُۥٓ أَلَيْسَ فِى جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٨٦
29:68
Ahmed Ali
Who is more unjust than he who fabricates a lie about God, or denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not an abode for unbelievers in Hell?
Shakir
And who is more unjust than one who forges a lie against Allah, or gives the lie to the truth when it has come to him? Will not in hell be the abode of the unbelievers?

اور اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے (ف۱۶۵) یا حق کو جھٹلائے (ف۱۶۶) جب وہ اس کے پاس آئے، کیا جہنم میں کافروں کا ٹھکانا نہیں (ف۱۶۷)
29:68 وَٱلَّذِينَ جَٰهَدُوا۟ فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَمَعَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ٩٦
29:69
Ahmed Ali
We shall guide those who strive in Our cause to the paths leading straight to Us. Surely God is with those who do good.
Shakir
And (as for) those who strive hard for Us, We will most certainly guide them in Our ways; and Allah is most surely with the doers of good.

اور جنہوں نے ہماری راہ میں کوشش کی ضرور ہم انہیں اپنے راستے دکھادیں گے (ف۱۶۸) اور بیشک اللہ نیکوں کے ساتھ ہے (ف۱۶۹)

رومی مغلوب ہوئے، (ف۲)
30:2 فِىٓ أَدْنَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ ٣
30:3
Ahmed Ali
In the neighbouring land. But having been conquered they will conquer
Shakir
In a near land, and they, after being vanquished, shall overcome,

پاس کی زمین میں (ف۳) اور اپنی مغلوبی کے عنقریب غالب ہوں گے (ف۴)
30:3 فِى بِضْعِ سِنِينَ لِلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِنۢ بَعْدُ وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٤
30:4
Ahmed Ali
In a few years (less than ten). God´s is the imperative first and last. On that day the believers will rejoice

Within a few years. Allah´s is the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice,

چند برس میں (ف۵) حکم اللہ ہی کا ہے آگے اور پیچھے (ف۶) اور اس دن ایمان والے خوش ہوں گے،
30:4 بِنَصْرِ ٱللَّهِ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٥
30:5
Ahmed Ali
In the help of God. He helps whom He will; He is all-mighty, ever-merciful.
Shakir
With the help of Allah; He helps whom He pleases; and He is the Mighty, the Merciful;

اللہ کی مدد سے (ف۷) مدد کرتا ہے جس کی چاہے، اور وہی عزت والا مہربان،

It is a promise of God; and God does not go back on His promise. Yet most men do not understand:
Shakir
(This is) Allah´s promise! Allah will not fail His promise, but most people do not know.

اللہ کا وعدہ (ف۸) اللہ اپنا وعدہ خلاف نہیں کرتا لیکن بہت لوگ نہیں جانتے (ف۹)
30:6 يَعْلَمُونَ ظَٰهِرًا مِّنَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ ٧
30:7
Ahmed Ali
They only know the palpable life of this world, and are oblivious of the Hereafter.
Shakir
They know the outward of this world´s life, but of the hereafter they are absolutely heedless.

جانتے ہیں آنکھوں کے سامنے کی دنیوی زندگی (ف۱۰) اور وہ آخرت سے پورے بے خبر ہیں،
30:7 أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِم مَّا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِلِقَآئِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكَٰفِرُونَ ٨
30:8
Ahmed Ali
Do they not think for themselves that God did not create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them without reason and a determined purpose? But many men reject the meeting with their Lord.
Shakir
Do they not reflect within themselves: Allah did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but with truth, and (for) an appointed term? And most surely most of the people are deniers of the meeting of their Lord.

کیا انہوں نے اپنے جی میں نہ سوچا کہ، اللہ نے پیدا نہ کیے آسمان اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے مگر حق (ف۱۱)اور ایک مقرر میعاد سے (ف۱۲) اور بیشک بہت سے لوگ اپنے رب سے ملنے کا انکار رکھتے ہیں (ف۱۳)
30:8 أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ كَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَآ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ ٩
30:9
Ahmed Ali
Have they not travelled on the earth and seen how the others before them had met their end? They were far more powerful than them, furrowed the earth and colonised it far more than they; and their apostles came to them with visible signs. It was surely not for God to wrong them, they wronged themselves.
Shakir
Have they not travelled in the earth and seen how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than these in prowess, and dug up the earth, and built on it in greater abundance than these have built on it, and there came to them their messengers with clear arguments; so it was not beseeming for Allah that He should deal with them unjustly, but they dealt unjustly with their own souls.

اور کیا انہوں نے زمین میں سفر نہ کیا کہ دیکھتے کہ ان سے اگلوں کا انجام کیسا ہوا (ف۱۴) وہ ان سے زیادہ زور آور تھے اور زمین جوتی اور آباد کی ان (ف۱۵) کی آبادی سے زیادہ اور ان کے رسول ان کے پاس روشن نشانیاں لائے (ف۱۶) تو اللہ کی شان نہ تھی کہ ان پر ظلم کرتا (ف۱۷) ہاں وہ خود ہی اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے (ف۱۸)
30:9 ثُمَّ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ أَن كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ٠١
30:10
Ahmed Ali
Therefore evil was the end of those who did evil, for they denied the signs of God and made fun of them.
Shakir
Then evil was the end of those who did evil, because they | rejected the communications of Allah and used to mock them.

پھر جنہوں نے حد بھر کی برائی کی ان کا انجام یہ ہوا کہ اللہ کی آیتیں جھٹلانے لگے اور ان کے ساتھ تمسخر کرتے،
30:10 ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ١١
30:11
Ahmed Ali
God originates creation, and then will revert it, then you will go back to Him.
Shakir
Allah originates the creation, then reproduces it, then to Him you shall be brought back.

اللہ پہلے بناتا ہے پھر دوبارہ بنائے گا (ف۱۹) پھر اس کی طرف پھروگے (ف۲۰)
30:11 وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ٢١
30:12
Ahmed Ali
The day the Resurrection comes the sinners will be overwhelmed with despair.
Shakir
And at the time when the hour shall come the guilty shall be in despair.

اور جس دن قیامت قائم ہوگی مجرموں کی آس ٹوٹ جائے گی (ف۲۱)
30:12 وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُم مِّن شُرَكَآئِهِمْ شُفَعَٰٓؤُا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ كَٰفِرِينَ ٣١
30:13
Ahmed Ali
No intercessor will they have among those they associated (with God), and will reject their partners.
Shakir
And they shall not have any intercessors from among their gods they have joined with Allah, and they shall be deniers of their associate-gods.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور ان کے شریک (ف۲۲) ان کے سفارشی نہ ہوں گے اور وہ اپنے شریکوں سے منکر ہوجائیں گے،
30:13 وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ ٤١
30:14
Ahmed Ali
The day the Hour comes they will be separated into categories.

And at the time when the hour shall come, at that time they shall become separated one from the other.

اور جس دن قیامت قائم ہوگی اس دن الگ ہوجائیں گے (ف۲۳)
30:14 فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَهُمْ فِى رَوْضَةٍ يُحْبَرُونَ ٥١
30:15
Ahmed Ali
Those who believed and did the right will be feasted in a rich, well-watered meadow.
Shakir
Then as to those who believed and did good, they shall be made happy in a garden.

تو وہ جو ایمان لائے اور اچھے کام کیے باغ کی کیاری میں ان کی خاطرداری ہوگی (ف۲۴)
