کھیٰعص
19:1 ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُۥ زَكَرِيَّآ ٢
19:2
Ahmed Ali
Commemorate the beneficence of your Lord on Zachariah, His devotee,
Shakir
A mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zakariya.
Ahmed Raza Khan
یہ مذکور ہے تیرے رب کی اس رحمت کا جو اس نے اپنے بندہ زکریا پر کی،
19:2 إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيًّا ٣
19:3
Ahmed Ali
When he called to his Lord inwardly,
Shakir
When he called upon his Lord in a low voice,
Ahmed Raza Khan
جب اس نے اپنے رب کو آہستہ پکارا (ف۲)
19:3 قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلْعَظْمُ مِنِّى وَٱشْتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا ٤
19:4
Ahmed Ali
And said: "O my Lord, my bones decay, my head is white and hoary, yet in calling You, O Lord, I have never been deprived.
Shakir
He said: My Lord! surely my bones are weakened and my head flares with hoariness, and, my Lord! I have never been unsuccessful in my prayer to Thee:

عرض کی اے میرے رب میری ہڈی کمزور ہوگئی (ف۳) اور سرے سے بڑھاپے کا بھبھوکا پھوٹا (شعلہ چمکا) (ف۴) اور اے میرے رب میں تجھے پکار کر کبھی نامراد نہ رہا (ف۵)
19:4 وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا ٥
19:5
Ahmed Ali
But I fear my relatives after me; and my wife is barren. So grant me a successor as a favour from You
Shakir
And surely I fear my cousins after me, and my wife is barren, therefore grant me from Thyself an heir,
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور مجھے اپنے بعد اپنے قرابت والوں کا ڈر ہے (ف۶) اور میری عورت بانجھ ہے تو مجھے اپنے پاس سے کوئی ایسا دے ڈال جو میرا کام اٹھائے (ف۷)
19:5 يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا ٦
19:6
Ahmed Ali
Who will be heir to me, and heir to the house of Jacob; and make him obedient to You, O Lord."
Shakir
Who should inherit me and inherit from the children of Yaqoub, and make him, my Lord, one in whom Thou art well pleased.
Ahmed Raza Khan
وہ میرا جانشین ہو اور اولاد یعقوب کا وارث ہو، اور اے میرے رب! اسے پسندیدہ کر (ف۸)
19:6 يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَٰمٍ ٱسْمُهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا ٧
19:7
Ahmed Ali
"O Zachariah," (it was) said, "We give you good news of a son by name of John.´ To none have We attributed the name before."
Shakir
O Zakariya! surely We give you good news of a boy whose name shall be Yahya: We have not made before anyone his equal.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے زکریا ہم تجھے خوشی سناتے ہیں ایک لڑکے کی جن کا نام یحییٰ ہے اس کے پہلے ہم نے اس نام کا کوئی نہ کیا،
19:7 قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌ وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ ٱلْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّا ٨
19:8
Ahmed Ali
"How can I have a son, O Lord" he said, "when my wife is barren and I am old and decrepit?"
Shakir
He said: O my Lord! when shall I have a son, and my wife is barren, and I myself have reached indeed the extreme degree of old age?
Ahmed Raza Khan
عرض کی اے میرے رب! میرے لڑکا کہاں سے ہوگا میری عورت تو بانجھ ہے اور میں بڑھاپے سے سوکھ جانے کی حالت کو پہنچ گیا (ف۹)
19:8 قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْـًٔا ٩
19:9
Ahmed Ali
(The angel) answered: "Thus will it be. Your Lord said: ´This is easy for Me; for when I brought you into being you were nothing.´
Shakir
He said: So shall it be, your Lord says: It is easy to Me, and indeed I created you before, when you were nothing.
Ahmed Raza Khan
فرمایا ایسا ہی ہے (ف۱۰) تیرے رب نے فرمایا وہ مجھے آسان ہے اور میں نے تو اس سے پہلے تجھے اس وقت بنایا جب تک کچھ بھی نہ تھا (ف۱۱)
19:9 قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةً قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا ٠١
19:10
Ahmed Ali
He said: "O Lord, give me a token." "Though sound," He answered, "you will not talk to any one for three nights running."
Shakir
He said: My Lord! give me a sign. He said: Your sign is that you will not be able to speak to the people three nights while in sound health.
Ahmed Raza Khan
عرض کی اے میرے رب! مجھے کوئی نشانی دے دے (ف۱۲) فرمایا تیری نشانی یہ ہے کہ تو تین رات دن لوگوں سے کلام نہ کرے بھلا چنگا ہوکر (ف۱۳)
19:10 فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا۟ بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّا ١١
19:11
Ahmed Ali
So he came from the chamber to his people, and suggested to them (by signs) to sing the praises of the Lord morning and evening.
Shakir
So he went forth to his people from his place of worship, then he made known to them that they should glorify (Allah) morning and evening.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اپنی قوم پر مسجد سے باہر آیا (ف۱۴) تو انہیں اشارہ سے کہا کہ صبح و شام تسبیح کرتے رہو،

ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
بِقُوَّةٍ
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ
ٱلْحُكْمَ
صَبِيًّا

Ahmed Ali
(We said:) "O John, hold fast to the Book;" and We gave him wisdom right from boyhood,
Shakir
O Yahya! take hold of the Book with strength, and We granted him wisdom while yet a child
Ahmed Raza Khan
اے یحییٰ کتاب (ف۱۶) مضبوط تھام، اور ہم نے اسے بچپن ہی میں نبوت دی (ف۱۷)
19:12 وَحَنَانًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةً وَكَانَ تَقِيًّا ٣١
19:13
Ahmed Ali
And compassion from Us, and goodness. So he was devout,
Shakir
And tenderness from Us and purity, and he was one who guarded (against evil),
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اپنی طرف سے مہربانی (ف۱۸) اور ستھرائی (ف۱۹) اور کمال ڈر والا تھا (ف۲۰)
19:13 وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّا ٤١
19:14
Ahmed Ali
And kind to his parents, neither arrogant nor disobedient.
Shakir
And dutiful to his parents, and he was not insolent, disobedient.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور اپنے ماں باپ سے اچھا سلوک کرنے والا تھا زبردست و نافرمان نہ تھا (ف۲۱)
19:14 وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّا ٥١
19:15
Ahmed Ali
So peace on him the day he was born, the day he will die, and the day that he will be raised from the dead.
Shakir
And peace on him on the day he was born, and on the day he dies, and on the day he is raised to life
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور سلامتی ہے اس پر جس دن پیدا ہوا اور جس دن مرے گا اورجس دن مردہ اٹھایا جائے گا (ف۲۲)
19:15 وَٱذْكُرْ فِى ٱلْكِتَٰبِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ ٱنتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّا ٦١
19:16
Ahmed Ali
Commemorate Mary in the Book. When she withdrew from her family to a place in the East
Shakir
And mention Marium in the Book when she drew aside from her family to an eastern place;
Ahmed Raza Khan
اور کتاب میں مریم کو یاد کرو (ف۲۳) جب اپنے گھر والوں سے پورب کی طرف ایک جگہ الگ گئی (ف۲۴)
19:16 فَٱتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا ٧١
19:17
Ahmed Ali
And took cover from them, We sent a spirit of Ours to her who appeared before her in the concrete form of a man.
Shakir
So she took a veil (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our spirit, and there appeared to her a well-made man.
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو ان سے ادھر (ف۲۵) ایک پردہ کرلیا، تو اس کی طرف ہم نے اپنا روحانی (روح الامین) بھیجا (ف۲۶) وہ اس کے سامنے ایک تندرست آدمی کے روپ میں ظاہر ہوا،
19:17 قَالَتْ إِنِّىٓ أَعُوذُ بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّا ٨١
19:18
Ahmed Ali
"I seek refuge in the Merciful from you, if you fear Him," she said.
Shakir
She said: Surely I fly for refuge from you to the Beneficent Allah, if you are one guarding (against evil).
Ahmed Raza Khan
بولی میں تجھ سے رحمان کی پناہ مانگتی ہوں اگر تجھے خدا کا ڈر ہے،
19:18 قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَٰمًا زَكِيًّا ٩١
19:19
Ahmed Ali
He replied: "I am only a messenger from your Lord (sent) to bestow a good son on you."
Shakir
He said: I am only a messenger of your Lord: That I will give you a pure boy.
Ahmed Raza Khan
بولا میں تیرے رب کا بھیجا ہوا ہوں، کہ میں تجھے ایک ستھرا بیٹا دوں،
19:19 قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَٰمٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِى بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّا ٠٢
19:20
Ahmed Ali
"How can I have a son," she said, "when no man has touched me, nor am I sinful?"
Shakir
She said: When shall I have a boy and no mortal has yet touched me, nor have I been unchaste?
Ahmed Raza Khan
بولی میرے لڑکا کہاں سے ہوگا مجھے تو کسی آدمی نے ہاتھ نہ لگایا نہ میں بدکار ہوں،
19:20 قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا ١٢
19:21
Ahmed Ali
He said: "Thus will it be. Your Lord said: ´It is easy for Me,´ and that: ´We shall make him a sign for men and a blessing from Us.´ This is a thing already decreed."
Shakir
He said: Even so; your Lord says: It is easy to Me: and that We may make him a sign to men and a mercy from Us, and it is a matter which has been decreed.
Ahmed Raza Khan
کہا یونہی ہے (ف۲۷) تیرے رب نے فرمایا ہے کہ یہ (ف۲۸) مجھے آسان ہے، اور اس لیے کہ ہم اسے لوگوں کے واسطے نشانی (ف۲۹) کریں اور اپنی طرف سے ایک رحمت (ف۳۰) اور یہ کام ٹھہرچکا ہے (ف۳۱)
19:21 ۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَٱنتَبَذَتْ بِهِۦ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّا ٢٢
19:22
Ahmed Ali
When she conceived him she went away to a distant place.
Shakir
So she conceived him; then withdrew herself with him to a remote place.
Ahmed Raza Khan
اب مریم نے اسے پیٹ میں لیا پھر اسے لیے ہوئے ایک دور جگہ چلی گئی (ف۳۲)
19:22 فَأَجَآءَهَا ٱلْمَخَاضُ إِلَىٰ جِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَٰلَيْتَنِى مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَٰذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّا ٣٢
19:23
Ahmed Ali
The birth pangs led her to the trunk of a date-palm tree. "Would that I had died before this," she said, "and become a thing forgotten, unremembered."
Shakir
And the throes (of childbirth) compelled her to betake herself to the trunk of a palm tree. She said: Oh, would that I had died before this, and had been a thing quite forgotten!
Ahmed Raza Khan
پھر اسے جننے کا درد ایک کھجور کی جڑ میں لے آیا (ف۳۳) بولی ہائے کسی طرح میں اس سے پہلے مرگئی ہوتی اور بھولی بسری ہوجاتی،
19:23 فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحْتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحْزَنِى قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّا ٤٢
19:24
Ahmed Ali
Then (a voice) called to her from below: "Grieve not; your Lord has made a rivulet gush forth right below you.
Shakir
Then (the child) called out to her from beneath her: Grieve not, surely your Lord has made a stream to flow beneath you;
Ahmed Raza Khan
تو اسے (ف۳۴) اس کے تلے سے پکارا کہ غم نہ کھا (ف۳۵) بیشک تیرے رب نے نیچے ایک نہر بہادی ہے (ف۳۶)
19:24 وَهُزِّىٓ إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ ٱلنَّخْلَةِ تُسَٰقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا ٥٢
19:25
Ahmed Ali
Shake the trunk of the date-palm tree, and it will drop ripe dates for you.
Shakir
And shake towards you the trunk of the palmtree, it will drop on you fresh ripe dates:

اور کھجور کی جڑ پکڑ کر اپنی طرف ہلا تجھ پر تازی پکی کھجوریں گریں گی (ف۳۷)
